Don’t stay here. Dank and smelly rooms are one thing, but when they put a bogus charge on your credit card you have a moral obligation to speak up. Oh, and I am not the only one who has been a victim. Spend some time online and you will find similar stories. You have now been warned. Hopefully, I can save someone else from a similar bad experience.
This hotel is a trip...to The Twilight Zone! But I digress, mother always said lead with the positive. The AC worked great and the staff although incompetent were friendly. Now for the bad. The architect who designed this place was either Dyslexic, ate too many special gummies, or both. Half the rooms are on the interior with giant windows facing and AC venting to the hallway. Then there's another set of AC venting the hallway heat to the outside, very energy efficient. Keep those blinds drawn tight unless you want people strolling by leering in on your private affairs. The 'breakfast' was a real treat. Packaged pastry that is gas station quality...old, inner city gas station. Institutional quality coffee, rivaling the finish prisons. Note to owners, skip the 'breakfast' and give out coupons to the McDonald's across the street. Look both ways before dashing across the 4 lane highway, those cars and trucks are going faster than they appear. The tub in our room drained so slowly, each shower as also a bath. We only experienced the hot tub and pool from the door. There was a very large man in the hot tub, and was enjoying a bubble bath. We choose not to enter or speculate what was causing all the bubbles. There's more, but why pile on? This hotel has somewhat of a monopoly since there are very few others in the area, so if you must stay, just remember you will be entering The Twilight Zone.…
If you like sleeping with ants, come here! Checked into one room and there were ants everywhere. We called front desk and complained, so she gave us another room. We get into the next room and was worst than the first room with ants everywhere. This place is so unsanitary and disgusting, you might as well sleep in your car. My daughter goes to UCONN and the Graduate hotel was booked. It is better to stay far away than to even pull into this place’s parking lot.
Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We called it the Schitt’s Motel because we felt the same way seeing it for the first time as the Schmitt family did seeing their motel for the first time. This hotel is seriously outdated (even the newer renovated rooms). The rooms in the old room smell like cat piss and have window A/C units. We asked to move to a “nicer” room. That room was not yet cleaned when we went in so we agreed to come back. Honestly the only improvement over the original room was the commercial grade A/C. There were ants in the bedroom, the upstairs guest was up and banging around at 4:45am and we heard everything. After a long hot day of moving our kid into her dorm we actually considered sleeping in the car rather than the hotel. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough. This is a perfect example of you get what you pay for.…
We stayed for a wedding. There was an ant infestation in the room. The bed was perfectly clean and fine but every nightstand and desk area and bench was full of ants. At first you only saw one or two by the morning ants were in all of my belongings. I had my baby with us her car seat had a bunch of ants in it. I had put her baby bottle on the night stand right before falling asleep woke up and there were about 10+ ants crawling all over it. Also during the evening our room was given away to two different couples because we had people trying to use their keycard to get in. I went to the front desk so I could quickly check out and address the situation the front desk associate Shah did not seem to give a crap and just said call my manager on Monday morning. Over all 0/5 stars. Would not recommend even for convenience. Shah had a poor attitude even when I had spoke with him prior on the phone to confirm my reservation status and check in time on Friday evening.…
Beware, this hotel will charge you the full cost at check-in. They also photocopy your driver's license is unnecessary and put's your personal information at risk. The free breakfast is meager and barely qualified as a breakfast. There is only yogurt and granola bars and maybe some oranges. One morning there were no dairy products at all. This used to be a Best Western I can only conclude they are no longer a Best Western because they could not meet the standards or the owner did not want to pay the franchise fee.
We would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone, and especially not recommend it for wedding. We stayed here for a wedding in June 2022 and I called to book a room in the wedding block a few months in advance. When we tried to check-in, they could not find the reservation (despite me having a confirmation email). We eventually got our room, but it took a long time to check-in. Other guests also had this problem, causing the wedding to start late. We got back to the hotel after the wedding around 11pm. We walked to our friend’s room who had checked in before the wedding. His key card was not working and we could hear the shower running. It turns out that while he was at the wedding, the hotel gave his room to someone else (despite the fact that he had already been to his room and left his stuff in there). The hotel did not have any vacancy so he ended up having to drive over an hour home. He never got his stuff back. When my girlfriend and I went up to our room, our key card did not work. At first the guy at reception said we could not have our keycard because our room flooded. However, after telling him all of our stuff (including needed medications) were in the room, he gave us a keycard and said we could grab our stuff. Turns out there was no flooding. There was also a guest at the front desk (not in the wedding) who had his room given away while he was out despite having stayed there with his family for over a week. Several of the other wedding guests ran into similar problems and ended up having to drive home after midnight, despite having rooms reserved. No additional accommodations or discounts were offered, and no one received an apology. I have never experienced such mismanagement from a hotel. The accommodations themselves were fine and the bed was comfy. However, the acceptable accommodations were not worth the headache or the risk of having your room given away.…
There was only one clerk at front desk. The front desk could definitely use more help. They advertise “Continental breakfast…. NOT!!! No continental breakfast…really…. Dry up oranges, some yogurt and some pastry…. But not a lot offered…. Coffee was good. We had small ants in our bathroom that I reported. When I reported it a second time, they said they had no bug spray. They stated “it was against the law to spray bug spray.” They gave me a disinfectant to take care of problem…..!!!!!???? I kept all my stuff zipped up in bag! I will not be returning here again.
Front desk clerk either didn't know their system, or was intentionally misleading. First she told me I had no reservation, which I had just confirmed the day before. Then said she found it and took my credit card and proceeded to charge more than $250 in excess of the guaranteed reservation amount. Of course I challenged her and she supposedly backed out the erroneous charge, but it so far has not shown up on my online transaction history. Also, after we were in our room, the maid knocked on our door, but since she couldn't speak English we didn't know what she wanted. As it turned out, she pushed her way in and proceeded to retrieve her lunch which she had stored in our room fridge. It was quite a shock, and we were in total disbelief.
Partner and I are here for an extended stay, paid in advance. We are such laid back and respectful guests that I could even understand that maybe they forgot we are even here (?) I mean, the housekeeping here is virtually non existent in our experience. Should we have to call to ask why no one has come by to vacuum or change bedding or offer clean towels in a week and a half? Do hotels really not have plungers? I don't even expect any of these things on a dual basis but weekly - at least - would be pretty appreciated. Ok, so due to covid, I understand having a limited "breakfast" including - and also quite limited to - snack pastries and Activia yogurts (yum! I'm pretty happy with these things ultimately), but why are the clerks so busy that they can't bother to put any of that stuff out more than half the time, especially if they don't seem to be cleaning rooms? Or, again, maybe they forgot we were here since that's apparently a thing that happens at hotels, I guess? My fiance was even told to out yogurts back because he arrived at the lobby to grab breakfast 1 minute past the hour that they (supposedly) stop "serving" breakfast, yet they leave these items in plain view (when they can actually be bothered to stock them). Then laugh as he walks away after putting back their 50¢ yogurts they seem to gatekeep. The staff here are weird, unprofessional and lazy at best. The bar was pretty low and this place managed to not even meet it.…
