My spouse, baby, and I enjoyed a long weekend at this relaxing Bed and Breakfast. So many BnBs are not child friendly, so our baby being welcomed was so important to us. The BnB is beautiful and has many common seating areas. We ate dinner on the patio, enjoyed breakfast in the dining room, and spent the evenings sitting in the living room. We chatted with other guests and staff. Our room was large with a very comfortable bed- and the record playing on our arrival was such a cute touch. The breakfast was delicious, as were the snacks served throughout the day. I enjoyed all of the options for coffee/tea/cocoa. We used a beach day pass provided to us by the BnB to visit 2 of the town beaches. The Homestead is a great place for anyone to come enjoy a relaxing New England beach town.…
Nicest, most comfortable New England inn I've ever stayed at. Not cheap but worth it. My room was spacious, the bed a bit soft for me but comfortable. There are all sorts of niches and outside tables for guests to have breakfast or coffee or work. I love the colorful, unusual decor. A friendly, knowledgeable young woman was available almost all the time to answer questions about things to do in Madison. Breakfast included scones, packaged oatmeal, a wide array of yoghurt and drinks. I'm hoping to have a family gathering here soon.
From the owners and the employees to the beautiful rooms to the well groomed grounds it is fantastic. The entire staff cares. I feel like I am at home with them they are all so personable and just so welcoming. BONUS: They are pet friendly and our pooch Benji loves to stay there. It is an impeccable property. Kudos to Ralph, Nikki and their entire staff. If you need somewhere to stay when in Madison or live her but want to get away for the night, this is the place to stay. I promise you will not be disappointed. Jennifer and Jim
As soon as you pull up the drive you can see the beautiful approaching house with tons of outdoor seating and lovely landscaping. The home itself was perfect. Inviting, cozy, and modern yet super comfortable. The great staff on site will give you a tour of the house upon arrival and show you the many amenities available like the coffee and tea stations, a variety of snack choices, and the beautiful outside seating areas. There is also a great collection of albums available for you to choose from and take to your room to play on the record player there (there is one in every room). Like everyone else says, the pillows, blankets, and mattress are all so comfortable it makes it hard to get up early but you will want to make sure to catch the breakfast in the morning. It's a la carte, so you can grab a yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, coffee, tea, etc. but in addition there are also some fresh baked goods (the apple cinnamon scone was amazing) and a delicious variety of quiche (our favorite was the vegetable). You can take what you'd like to your room or sit in the sun room, dinning room, living room, or in the outside seating areas which really makes you feel at home. We enjoyed pleasant conversation with the owner and his staff daily and loved the little town of Madison and surrounding area. We are already looking forward to coming back soon! P.S. Hartman the dog is super sweet and loves his treats, wish we saw more of him during our stay :)…
As soon as we arrived at this beautiful spot, we knew we had found a very special place. The property was gorgeous, and our room with a private entrance and Adirondack chairs outside our door was perfect for us and our dog to relax after a long trip. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and was furnished with the most comfortable bed and linens ever. We loved the record player in the room, along with all of the other special and eclectic touches in the home. Ralph, the owner, could not have been more friendly and accommodating, and we loved our many chats with him throughout our stay. We enjoyed hearing his fascinating stories and learning about the wonderful memorabilia throughout his home from travels throughout the world. His adorable dog Hartman was just the sweetest, and became fast friends with our pup Blade! Yummy breakfasts sourced from local vendors were wonderful, along with great snacks and every kind of coffee selection imaginable. The staff was friendly and thoroughly accommodating. The location is great, near the beach, parks and some great little restaurants and shops. if you are in this area, I highly recommend the Homestead for your stay…you won’t be disappointed and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you Ralph, Mallory and Jenny!…
When we arrived at The Homestead, it was veel pretty. It is a great location, very close to the beach. The B&B had candy bars and a popcorn machine and a super cutedog. Heartman loves popcorn too and loves being stroked. I loved the room with the Netflix TV and the smart toilet, that can do many fun things. The breakfast is delicious with fresh quiches and scones. Too bad we have to leave again. Thank you Ralph&staff
Annemarijn (12) I loved our stay at the homstead. The breakfast was really good and the rooms were great (incl Netflix!) We had a nice time in Madison and on Surf club Beech (free pass from B&B) Now we are leaving for home but I really, really enjoyed everyving! (P.S. Heartman, the dog is adorable🐶❤️🔥)
Already at the reception we received a very friendly welcome. It is a great spot near the sea and the service is absolutely fantastic. Ralph recommended the Place for dinner. With my brother and sister we had a great evening sithing on stumps by the fireplace. I had wonderful days here!
The Homestead is a wonderful and charming place to stay for a quiet get away, but also family friendly. The house is an idyllic setting, set back off the Boston Post Road. There are large front & back yards for to walk/play and outdoor seating for adults to relax. Ralph (owner) & staff have paid attention to details and are wonderful hosts and always available. The rooms are quaint, large, and the beds very comfortable. The living and dining rooms are a nice place to relax and meet other guests. The rates are an excellent value, I highly recommend a stay.
We spent 3 days and 3 nights at the Homestead. The staff was there to greet as we came and went making it very welcoming. Thoughtful options for coffee and beverages along with breakfast options each morning. Our room was very well appointed and comfortable. The property itself is beautiful and very convenient to the charming town. Madison is lovely and the Homestead was the prefect place to stay!
