We had a lovely stay at the Litchfield Inn. The staff was friendly and attentive. We needed an early check-in and they were able and willing to accommodate us. The lobby has drinks and snacks available throughout the day, in addition to fruit in the morning and freshly baked cookies in the afternoon. We received some warm M&M cookies when... More

My husband and I stayed at the Litchfield Inn for one night while attending the CT Wine festival. The staff were very friendly and we were greeted with a chocolate chip cookie, which was very yummy! Although it was an exceedingly hot day, our room was nice and cool and such a nice respite from the heat and humidity. The... More

Everything looks beautiful: the outside, the inside, the restaurant and the room. My only issues were that the king size mattress seemed very cheap and uncomfortable. It was very difficult sleeping in this bed. We did not eat dinner here but we did order dessert. I ordered the blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream. The pie arrived without the ice... More

The inn is totally charming and nestled so beautifully in the countryside. Buffet breakfast was above average and while we didn't eat dinner there, the menu was inviting. Room clean and comfortable. Highly recommend and l would definitely go back first chance I get.

Ample parking on spacious well kept grounds. Rooms have been completely (almost done) renovated. Whirlpool tub rooms are spacious and well decorated (but no full length mirror). Breakfast includes "chef" to make your egg omelet. "THE" place to stay if you are visiting the area. Advance reservations required.

If you want to sleep and relax, this is a place to avoid. The bar right off the lobby is loud and noisy throughout the hotel. The renovated theme rooms are directly above and the sound is amplified even more. Why the hotel would position the bar in this manner is hard to understand. Rooms are clean, reception staff is... I have recently visited this inn with three other guests. I must say I am so surprised that this inn received any good ratings as it is cold in the winter to the point of frigidity. The food is horrendous and also served ice cold. The drinks are not properly made. The staff is poorly trained and unhelpful and do not... More

We were only there for one night while attending a wedding at a nearby venu. Our room was spacious and nicely appointed. Breakfast was included in the room price, but was lackluster; however, the friendly and helpful staff made up for any culinary shortcomings.

The Litchfield Inn is a nice hotel with clean and updated rooms. If you are running at Lime Rock, it is pretty far away although the drive is pretty. The main issue I had with the hotel is that the water pressure was very bad.

Dear Guest, Thanks for your feedback and we are glad to note that your stay was comfortable. I am not quite sure of your room number which had the water pressure issue but overall the flow of the water at the Inn is pretty good but we will definitely address the problem, if any. We look forward for your next... More

My wife and I stayed in mid March '16, in the garden room, which is part of their theme rooms. B & B's are our usual choice, so I'm not reviewing with a lot of hotel experience. Not sure on total rooms here. Maybe, 30 or so, and not part of a chain. The property has a ball room, for... More
