This campground is really an association of seasonal campers with about 4 or 5 "campsites" available to the public. The sites are very small (there's a reason their website doesn't feature any photos of any of the sites) and this place needs a ton of money thrown at it to bring it up to anything close to a standard campground.... We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend, Friday through Monday, and chose it so no one had to drive too far to get together for the weekend (two of our kids live in Newport RI and Longmeadow MA, while we were coming from Hyde Park NY). I'll start with the positives - everyone, even the little kids were very friendly.... More

Amazing place to be if you want to get away. Woods... Fire... Activities.... Simply awesome. The pet friendly rules are just an added plus. Kids activities and adult activities.... Yes adult activities. .then there's the relaxing atmosphere being with nature. I love it.

We live in Thomaston and were concerned that Hemlock Hills being only 20 min away that it wouldn't really feel like being away. We were pleasantly surprised. We loved our week there. My husband and 3 kids want to become seasonal now. You couldn't ask for a more family oriented campground. They aren't jam packed with activities (weekends they are,... More

This campground is going places! Pools are beautiful and well kept. Kids playground is THE best I've seen. They are making new sites and everything seems sopositive. People are welcoming and friendly. I understand there were prior problems with management, but we have only seen what the new management has done. Season is almost over, but we'll be there next... We were just there for a long weekend with the kids. Everyone had a fun time!! The pool area was very nice. The kids loved the playground also. We brought our bikes and were able to ride around the whole place although the "streets" were a little rocky for the kids. They still enjoyed it though. We did a couple... More

Pros: Pool, hot tub, washrooms Cons: dirt campsites instead of grass Well it sounds as though this campground has had many problems in the past. Seeing that this is the one and only time I've been here I am not going to attempt to comment on the supposed feud. Unlike many of the reviews posted, I don't have many negative... More

New Management has turned this campground from dumpy to delightful! This campground has pulled a 180 under the new management. They have made so many improvements in the short time they have taken over with so many more plans for next year. I am excited to see all the changes to come. The people are friendly. They take pride in... More

I recently camped here after seeing the many improvements that have been made. The court battle is over and the old owners are gone. The Co-op group is working hard to improve the place and you can see it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My wife and I loved it so much we reserved a seasonal site for... More

Words cannot express how disappointed I am with the experience my family had at this campground/Co-op. Dirty pools, nasty people and the grounds are poorly kept. No pride in the campground. Too many issues and negatives to list. Beware! SPend your money at the campground in Bantam.
