On our most recent New Year's Celebration we were enticed by a special menu which included appetizer, entre and dessert in one price. This along with the ambience and a polite and professional staff." we weren't disappointed"Our server Richard was pleasant and very helpful. The entire meal was stupendous. We were also treated to live music as we dined away. This to us was truly remarkable that they were able to muster such an event during these different times. All in all we have Kudos for all who helped us ring in a New Year.It is obvious this establishment knows how to get it done regardless of these uncertain times. That being said we are very grateful to be a part of their world and ours. sincerely

We were treated to a fabulous dinner in the main dining room on New Year’s Eve. Our meals were delicious, and service was excellent. “Richard”, our server, somehow made it look easy catering to a large party of ten. Our overnight accommodations were quite comfortable, and very peaceful. We were traveling with two small dogs, and there was PLANTY of nice, grassy area to walk them. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience, and would certainly visit again.

Hi Barbara! Thank you so much for your wonderful comments. I enjoyed saying hello and hearing first hand from you while you were here. It was such a pleasure to get your group back after all this difficulty with the pandemic. Certainly little signs like this make it seem like we are all recovering. I appreciate you taking the time to write. See you in the Spring!

I organized our family reunion and chose Interlaken Inn because it had a variety of activities and accommodations for our family of 23 adults and 12 children (all under the age of 11). Some of us needed pet friendly rooms, and the families with children stayed in the Townhouse Suites & Basha Cottage since they had full kitchens & living rooms. The rest of our family took over Countryside, which has comfortable rooms (and one had a screened-in porch). We had originally planned for Memorial Day weekend of 2020, but then Covid hit, so Jodie Catalano, the Events Director, was very helpful with rescheduling to the last weekend in August, 2021. She even kept the room rate the same. The swimming pool got a lot of use all weekend, as did the tennis court, and the canoes and kayaks down by the lake. On Friday night we had a family dinner which Jodie helped me plan. The meal was done through Morgan's the onsite restaurant, though we did have to get a celebration cake from offsite and have it delivered. The food was great and the wait staff was efficient and patient with so many children running around the private dining room. The food throughout the weekend was really good at Morgan's, and even though there was a wedding going on the same weekend, we felt as if there was plenty of room for us to do all the activities we wanted. Besides the activities onsite, there is plenty to do in the Northwest corner of Connecticut. I recommend Interlaken Inn enthusiastically, and we may even go back for our next reunion in 5 years!

We visited the inn this weekend for a family wedding. What a great spot! The tented venue was beautifully decorated. We loved the fire pits and the pretty fall decorations around the property. The rooms had comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. It felt cozy - like a perfect fall escape. I have to say, though, that it was the people at the hotel that made the greatest impression. Every person from the servers and bartenders to the front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. We left our son’s dress shirt at home and did not realize it until just before the wedding. We asked Winston if there was a nearby store where we could get a shirt, but there was nothing nearby. He then drove home and came back with one of his very own shirts plus a matching tie. He literally almost gave us the shirt off his back! I still have no words to express my gratitude. Winston - you are a gem! For the skeptics out there, the kindness of strangers still exists and you can find it at the Interlaken Inn.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! Winston will be thrilled to know how important he was at saving the day for you and your son. I agree with you - there are so many examples of this from the staff at Interlaken over the years. As I'm writing this, I remember a pair of dress shoes, a tie, a belt, water shoes - Interlaken Guest Service employees are certainly here to make our Guest experiences a memorable one. Please keep us in mind for a future visit, we'd love to have you stay with us again. I so appreciate you taking the time to write what you did - thank you again!
