A nice location with a beautiful view, very quiet place. The pool was beautiful. The restaurant staff was very helpful, good food, lacking variety. The room was large with a beautiful sea view. Disappointed about the spa because it wasn't open. They have a large parking place.

We were there for the last week, we had the best time. The rooms are big and clean, the staff is really nice. The girls from the animation team made every day fun and active for everyone and the kids loved them! Food was good, also their taverna is amazing! Beach was clean and private, thing that we loved! The pools were very clean as Well, but the water was a bit cold for the kids. 100% will come back

The location is nice but…thats all. The services are so poor… staff underprepared and i presumme that management as well. The breakfast is poor, the lunch the same. They even charge people for a glass of milk for the little ones. All services are so poor. Its really a 5 star hotel with max 3 star services!

Came only for swimming so the review is only for the services on the beach. There were 2 used masks on our sun umbrella, when point that out to the waiter he just left. In our arrival the sunbeds were dirty. Need to reconsider how they want to run business

Thassos Grand Resort 5 stars - when reality does not meet either expectations, or the price paid or the stars awarded. Sunbeds on the beach should be much more comfortable. Pluses: Vacation paid in advance in 2019, for 2020, postponed due to Covid for 2021, acknowledged without hesitations by the hotel. The location and positioning of the buildings constituting the complex, are fantastic. The views are quite something. The rooms, bathrooms and terasses are speciaous. The gold and the water and the beach are great. Minuses: Services: very poor ones. Staff: There is a shortage of staff at all levels. Beach- 2 waiters. Animation; 4 girls from 10.00 to 23.00 ( these girls work like slaves and make up for the shortages in other services offered). Restaurants on the beach: 2-3 waiters all day.cleaning lady: I have bearly seen 2 or 3 in the entire complex, explaining the poor cleaning policy. Reception: undertrained staff. The reservation was for a different type of room, but everything sorted out. The staff was not able to provide proper services in relation to obtaining medical treatment or conditions to obtain antibiotics. The hotel do not seem to offer services with any doctor or pharmacy and they are not willing to help providing any medicine. Therefore make sure you are very healthy if you stay at Grand Thassos Resort 5 stars. Cleaning: official policy they clean and change towels every 2days. In practice, they come the second day if you ask, make a complaint etc. Since they come so rare to clean the room, the toiletries, the toilet paper or the coffee ( initially seemed altered) or sugar by the cattle, are refilled accordingly and after 1 day you are out of it. It s a good thing we had toilet paper with us. Towells were changed every second day, during the cleaning. Having that in mind, it was easy to see spots and dirt on walls or objects in the room. Such a cleaning policy is affecting severely the overall cleaning of the complex and although the complex seems rather new, you can observe the degree of depreciation. Safety and health: you feel rather safe in the complex, but the guard protecting the entrance by car is hyllarious if not annoying. Every time a car exit, it is monitored by this person by writing the plate no and other date, by hand in a register. The same procedure is applied going out or in. Therefore need to stop and be patient. Health: the complex is full of hornets ( mean bees). Literally it is an invasion of hornets. You can not stay outside at any restaurants, on the terrace/ balcony or even on the beach. When confronted, the staff was not able to react. No measure has been taken to use products to at least limit the presence of the hornets. Our children and friends all have been beaten. In conclusion: the outside environment is not healthy for children or adults with allergies to bees or hornets. Be aware of this aspect. Restaurants and meals: Menus are poor in all restaurants. Main restaurant where breakfast and pre-paid dinner ( for the half-board option) are served as buffet: Very limited choices of food. In the morning a sort of chef can make one single type of pancakes and NO omelettes. Fried eggs: only medium soft or well done, mostly. When I asked to have some soft fried eggs, they waited to have finished the previous ones and brought the exact type of medium soft eggs. In conclusion the restaurant chef is very weak at his job. Tomatoes at breakfast were dehidrated and soften probably because they were reused from the night before. Deserts: just a few option and tasteless. Fruits: on some occasion they were good, but this is the only places where bananas were cut in their peals and displayed as such, easily turning black. The watermelon was sometimes dried, therefore reused from a previous meal. The other 2 restaurants for lunch and dinner behind the pool: a la carte Poor menu. They were not able to buy rice and serve a simple boiled rice. The same with honey. Should you ask for honey on Monday they were still out of honey on Thursday. The restaurants of the hotel are not able to provide lactoze and gluten free meals. They are not at all adapted to nutrition needs of nowadays. If you have kids with allergies you must drive with tons of specific food for allergies should you stay at this hotel. Therefore, restaurants offer food only for a normal diet. Internet: There is free wi-fi, but a medium to poor quality.
