I can't say enough about this beautiful B&B! Four of us stayed in The Carriage House guest cottage which was stunningly decorated and so warm and welcoming! The owners, Maryan and Jeff, were wonderful and so accommodating! We visited several of the surrounding towns and had a great time! We will definitely be back to stay and hopefully for more... More

We stayed for two nights in the Nehemiah Brainerd and it was wonderful. Our room (the Library) was extremely comfortable and we had the best sleep! Maryan and Jeff are wonderful hosts. Very welcoming and helpful. Breakfasts are very sociable occasions. The food is excellent but don't rush away - you'll miss all the fun! There are no restaurants within... More

We initially booked our room on the internet, received a confirmation of our request but not that the room was confirmed. When my wife and I arrived (traveller's from the UK on a tour of New England) the Inn Keepers Maryan and Geoff were surprised to see us, they had emailed us earlier to say they were not taking guests... Sadly we could only stay for one night but our hosts could not have been more welcoming and we had such an interesting and lively discussion over breakfast. They advised where to go for dinner and helped us on our way the next day. Hopefully we can visit again.

I stayed her with my mother in the Toile Room at the end of August. First time here, first time in this part of the state. It couldn't have been more perfect. The location, house and grounds, food, and hosts were wonderful. When they tell you to make yourself at home, they truely mean it. I wish I had more... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Nehemiah Brainerd House B&B for the second time. We so enjoyed our first visit that we decided to visit again – and it was just as pleasant and enjoyable as the first time. The owners of the inn are welcoming, gracious, and great conversationalists, with many stories, a wonderful and easy sense... More

For over 20 years I have experience B&Bs and historic inns. My two nights here were among the best ever I have experienced, if not the best. Wonderful antiques and appointments throughout. Not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere. And Maryan and Jeff were the consummate hosts. Ends up in wonderful breakfast conversations we had many connections to the... More

The Laurel Cottage accommodation at this lovely bed & breakfast is a cozy, well-appointed retreat, ideal for a small family or couple. Nothing can beat morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on the flagstone patio that overlooks a bucolic setting (views of the Connecticut River three seasons.) We would love to return.

We decided last minute to get out of the hustle and bustle of NYC and take a trip out to Connecticut. We found this quaint B&B in Haddam, CT that allowed for two couples to stay in our own two bedroom one bath luxury cottage in Haddam. The accommodations were fantastic - lovely queen bed rooms with an up to... More

Found this treasure on web and we were very pleased with our stay. Maryan and Jeff are terrific hosts. The breakfast was top shelf and accommodations were perfect. Despite the awful New England weather we had a truly memorable time and we hope to come back and enjoy it even more later in the Spring.
