Overall my stay was pleasant and Groton and Mystic were beautiful, but your bar closed at 11pm on both Friday and Saturday night, and that really put a damper on both nights stay. Our Wedding on Sat night ended at 11 pm and a few folks managed to get a drink in before things shut down. We would have spent tons of money if the bar had been open for 2 more hours. Really a shame. Also, the drapes in my room were slightly broken and wouldn't close all the way. I figured out a solution for day two, but that was unfortunate. Also the door to the bathroom doesn't close all the way, and i was sharing the room someone who i had not ever shared a room with. so that was a bit awkward.

Your room update was truly done in the minimalist tradition especially the bathroom. The shower boasts a SMALL 3x5 shelf to hold your soap , shampoo and anything else you might need in the shower and that's it! there are no grab bars for safety purposes and for get any kind of towel bar to hang your towel and facecloth. And if the toilet could be any lower you would be sitting on the floor. Waste baskets don't get emptied , nor towels refreshed and you need to ask if you want additional soap beyond the tiny bar provided. Blame it on COVID if you must but for the prices your charging a higher level of service and a bathroom meant to make a guest feel safe and welcome are points you need to consider.

We were treated so hospitably during our stay. A special recognition of Frank who took card of displaying the welcome bags for the wedding guests, delivering surprises to the bridal suite, and his overall dedication! The rooms were spotless and the amenities were great. I highly recommend staying there!

Clean initially and “modern”…but at over $200/night l’d expect service more than “Call us if you want towels,” Have to wonder how much they will charge once they go back to emptying waste baskets? One small bar of soap, no hangers, & and no coffee…they made a killing on our stay!

Apparently, if you want housekeeping services you need to make arrangements 2 weeks in advance - I found that out as I was checking out. Needless to say, we did not make such arrangements. After the towels started to pile up & I figured out that no one was coming, I placed the dirty towels in the hall as I had seen my neighbors do. Rolling canvas carts were left in multiple spots in the hall was how one refreshed towels. I do feel a little bad for the person who had to clean our room. If the hotel expect guests to wear masks, have a box next to the sign stating that masks are required. As a vaccinated person, I do not always have a mask with me, as was the case in this situation. I probably appeared to be an anti-maskers (which is far from the case). In both cases, I believe the shortcomings are due to being grossly understaffed.
