What a great weekend away. My husband and I were greeted by Domenic who was new to the property but was extremely welcoming and we saw him helping in many areas of the hotel throughout the weekend! He always had a smile and was so willing to help! Ciara was our bartender on night 2 - she was fantastic. She had just the right amount of involvement with the crowd and made a delicious martini. Kelly was my therapist for my facial at the spa on Sunday. What a memorable experience! She was so knowledgeable about their products without being pushy. The treatment was so much more than what I was expecting - so many different serums and lotions PLUS hot stones!!!! To top it off, I was able to use the steam room and the red light sauna before and after my appointment. I huge shout out to Jennifer, Karen and Susan on the sales team for ensuring my husband and I had a wonderful weekend! If you get a change to visit Mystic, we highly suggest the aquarium!!!!! We cant wait to go back!

This was my 2nd visit to this hotel. The first time we really enjoyed it. This visit was truly awful. Apparently the HVAC system is broken. Our room was sweltering at 80 degrees and could not be cooled. After midnight we were so uncomfortable, sleeping was impossible. We called the front desk. She said that the HVAC system was broken and the only option was changing rooms. She said she would have keys to new room brought up to us while we packed up our belongings for the move. We waited over 30 minutes and no keys were delivered. My husband went to lobby. She stated she forgot all about it. She gave him keys to new room and we moved to new room after 1:00 am just hoping to finally be able to sleep. HOWEVER this room was exactly the same. The room could not be cooled below 80 degrees. My husband slept a couple of hours. I literally did not sleep at all. At 5:00 am I went to the lobby in my pajamas and bought Advil PM just hoping to sleep even an hour or 2. No luck. Late Friday morning I went to the concierge lounge to find it completely empty. I knew from previous visit that it only has grab and go snacks and drinks. But on this day it was empty. Not a single bag of chips, bottle of water or soda. NOTHING. I contacted the front desk and they apologized and offered a $10 credit to use at the store in the lobby. As a Titanium member I had been granted late check out to attend a zoom work meeting from my room. I verified that the late check out was noted on our new room and was assured I was all set. During my meeting housekeeping knocked repeatedly and the entered. And then about 20 minutes later (while still in my meeting) a message came across the TV that our checkout was complete. This was about 2 hours before my granted 3:00 checkout. As soon as my meeting ended we decided we did not want to stay another minute. We went downstairs to use our $10 credit and checkout. 2 sodas and one candy bar cost $12 and since they already checked me out of my room the $2 that was not covered by my credit could not be charged to my room. After a few minutes of them trying to figure out how to bill me for $2 they finally said I was all set and let me go. With the exception of breakfast which was actually very good, the entire stay was simply awful and I literally did not sleep even one hour. Please check my other reviews. I NEVER leave bad reviews. This really was just terrible!

Loved th upgraded rooms. Everything the traveler needs in a modern hotel. The huge TV the laarge bathroom, modern lighting. I was very happy to heve stayed there three day. If I am back in the area will stay there again.

Lovely stay at the Mystic Marriott Hotel & Spa! It was very modern and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the smart tv was a plus! The only complaint about the room was the bathroom lighting was sub-par. When we checked in housekeeping was still at work and had placed all the dirty laundry and trash in the hallways which didn't give us a great first impression. Parking was free, but you had to use a porter if you wanted a luggage cart. Apparently there was a huge wedding block staying at the time we stayed which made some of the logistics more difficult but the staff handled it all nicely. We would stay again if in the area.

The room has been modernized and updated the big screen TV, the shower fixtures in the bathroom, the hard surface flooring were all what I expect in a hotel room today. The room was clean, heating and cooling controls function perfectly and is always Marriotts mattresses are a joy.

This large, attractive Marriott hotel is well situated for visiting the historical coastal towns of Connecticut. The hotel is very modern and stylish, and there are many amenities on the property. Check-in and out were both fast and efficient, and there was plenty of free parking. Our room was clean and comfortable, but there is no carpeting at all, and the shelves are open, so that makes it seem a bit more spartan. I did notice some noise from the hallways, and I did see that some doors had gaps at the bottoms. Unfortunately, we did not have time to use the indoor pool (but it looked very nice, and the water was warm), or dine in any of the restaurants, but everybody looked like they were enjoying their experiences. We would certainly stay here again the next time we are in the area.

We reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights and used points (to include my free night for a wedding we attended a few miles away. Since the reviews were very mixed, I was extremely nervous. No doubt I was a pest because I called the hotel a few times and begged them to give me a high floor in a good location. Some hotels give you the worst rooms when using points or free nights. I was very happy with the room location and the room itself was very nice. There were plenty of towels and the room was nice and clean. I asked for one of the rooms to have non feather pillows and that was done. The only reason I a not giving it a higher review is because the bathroom sink drained very slowly and the bathroom vent was disgusting and there was some mold on the ceiling and wall near the AC. There was no doubt a leak at one time. I let the front desk know and showed them pictures. They offered to move me but I declined (it wasn't that bad but did need attending to and ac had a funky smell when it came on). Ms. Jones offered to compensate me with points and I have yet to see them. I found the mattress comfortable and like the shower. Would I stay here again, most definitely. Everyone working at the hotel was very nice and professional and I could see they take pride in making sure your stay is comfortable,

Minimum a hotel can offer is the impression this hotel gives off. Not particularly friendly or welcoming. No recognition of elite status. The elite benefits are overlooking the roof of a parking structure, no water, and a AC system not responsive. I asked for bottled water and was given one (!) bottle for a two night stay. I asked for a second one and I had the impression this was a big deal. Here for business - I would never come here on my own dime or time.

I've always been impressed by this hotel. Sure, they were was an issue, its going to happen. However, the aftermath is how management responds to the issues. Is the catalyst if a good or poor manager. The manager was excellent and took care of the issue promptly. Hats off to him, he knows how to keep a top-notch hotel running top notch. It appears the hotel was recently renovated. The hotel restaurant, The Homesman, food excellent, service good. Go with a big appetite they deffently are not skimpy in the food. Close to Mystin, Groton, and New London.

From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted by some of the warmest front desk personnel I’ve ever encountered. As a former Disney employee I am well aware of what excellent customer service should be. The staff of this hotel go above and beyond to make each guest feel like a VIP. The first encounter was with Jesse at the front desk. It was like seeing a cousin I hadn’t seen in a long time. She was funny, talkative, and extremely friendly. I knew right away this was going to be a great vacation! Working alongside Jesse was Christine who greeted me by name each day of our stay and always made me feel that she was about to jump over the counter and hug me 🤗. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant made us just want to eat and then go back upstairs to sleep. (If you know what the ITIS is, I promise you you’ll get it here) The breakfast buffet is AHH-MAAYY-ZING!! Annie cooked one of the most delicious omelettes I’d had in a long time. We also had the pleasure of meeting Sandra, who our family really wanted to take home with us. She is THE waitress of all waitresses. What a wonderfully welcoming spirit she has. And you know what? Day after day, she treated us exactly the same warm and welcoming way. She seems to treat everyone like a VIP, clearing the tables as you’re eating, and making sure that you have absolutely everything you need to make your experience a good one. Literally from start to finish she just kept checking in on us. There was another gentleman, Len, who is just about the nicest guy you’ll ever meet anywhere. He showed me how to make the perfect waffle and made sure I found everything that I was looking for to take back to our table. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was delicious too. I particularly enjoyed the fish and chips! I really couldn’t say one bad thing about this hotel. The cleaning staff were extremely friendly and took great care of our rooms. This was a very last minute mini vacation for us, but it worked out perfectly. I’ll never stay anywhere else in this area but here. I feel like I have family in Mystic at the Marriott.
