We stayed here for 3 weeks while visiting from Europe and our stay was absolutely amazing! Thank you for everything it was such a great stay. Our family really enjoyed it here and we will definetly be back soon!
What a find. Beautiful hotel, great location, staff so friendly and professional. Lobby is so attractive - great seating areas, very fun vibe, perfect coffee spot. Room was just right - perfect size, so clean, incredibly comfortable. And their restaurant Tony’s - absolutely glorious. One of the best meals I have enjoyed in a long time. This place should be on you to do list!
My husband and I attended a wedding here over Labor Day weekend. The hotel was very artsy, very modern, with electronic controls all over the room, including with the bidet! The food, however, is why I would return in a heartbeat. Tony's is the in-house restaurant. We were served filet mignon that was perfectly cooked, and chicken martini that was extremely tasty. All the vegetables were hot and also perfectly cooked. The cocktail hour included coconut shrimp, crabcakes, vegetable rolls .. everything was excellent. The service was extraordinary. Plenty of waitstaff, and everyone very available to provide or deliver whatever you requested.
The JHouse was our home away from home for a few weeks. Everyone was so helpful. The front desk Manager Peter was wonderful as well as the entire Valet team. Astonishing what they can do. This hotel is dog friendly. Our dog Walter enjoyed the lobby water bowl and treats after a morning walk. And don't forget you have an amazing restaurant right there. Tony's is spectacular. You can't miss Tony, as he has energy that lights up the room. The food is delicious and it's a great spot for date night or a family dinner. The beauty of staying and dining right there is we were steps away from our room. We were at home at The JHouse!
Had a great experience staying at the J house. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating!! Restaurant had a great atmosphere, and delicious food!! Room was nice and clean, toilet was high tech! Close by to center of Greenwich. Great experience overall and would recommend it to anyone considering
This is a Restaurant/Bar Scene that has a hotel as a side business. The first room we were given on the ground floor smelled of smoke, the hallways smelled of pizza and the air conditioning was broken. The second room, on the third floor, had a lovely view because of the large tree with dappled light. The electrical/electronic panel over the desk kept falling out of the wall, the phones were discharged, the blackout curtain didn’t close and we kept getting phone beeps through out the night. On the positive side the Japanese style electric toilet was a pleasure BUT the two GLASS walls that formed the bathroom provided NO PRIVACY. Very contemporary but impractical. The feeling was that of a glass bowl! The restaurant and food were good and it was obviously very well received by the large crowds.…
Overall - It’s okay. The rooms are clean and bed is comfortable. It can get noisy if you get a room that faces I 95 so be warned. Room service was lacking - well… service. I called 5 times to order food and it was during hours. I hated the bidet to be honest. The machine kept making noises like it’s about to erupt like Old Faithful. Not something you want while sitting on the throne. Shower was nice - good water pressure. TV in the mirror was cool but became a challenge when trying to get ready. Oh the lobby is fun for people watching. If you like rich cougars wearing outfits that cost more than my car you’ll be in nirvana here.
My Wife and I wanted to try something different so we headed up to Greenwich to the J House on a recommendation from our Daughter & Son in Law. Check in was seamless and friendly, We were greeted with a cold glass of Prosecco. I was even gifted a bottle of champagne by the Hotel Manager to celebrate my Birthday. We had drinks and appetizers at Tony's to hold us off until dinner. Nice drink & delicious shrimp cocktail. We booked the executive King room. Extremely comfortable and immaculate. Pool was also awesome. Lastly a shoutout to Peter & Scully for their kindness throughout the weekend. We'll definitely be back !
We stayed at the J House as it was reported to be a high end hotel. Although there is a great deal of tech in the rooms for lighting, blinds, bidet,... the creature comforts were lacking. Beds were not comfortable at all. Mattress was hard and lumpy. Towels were torn, thin, and ragged. No space on the sink counter. Bathroom was dark which made putting on makeup difficult. Breakfast, included, was meager. The bar and restaurant were very nice and popular, but again, $$$ Overall not worth the price.
A little pricey but a nice spot. Rooms are modern, clean and up to date. Swanky choice! I was not a fan of the restaurants service or food…maybe they were having an off night. There was a wedding and they seemed to pay those of us at the bar no mind. Close to highway and walking distance to a cute fresh food market.
