I stayed at J House for three nights recently and enjoyed it. The room was just the right size, clean and comfortable and it had some of the best hotel pillows I've ever used. It takes a bit to figure out the lighting and blinds but once you do there are no issues. It was nice to have shower with good water pressure, a full size hair dryer and a nice magnifying mirror in the bathroom. This hotel is very clean and the restaurant, Tony's is very good. The owner, Tony's is a pleasure to talk to! I ate both in the restaurant and ordered room service (very speedy) and both were great. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. It might be considered inappropriate to mention the automated toilet but I can't NOT mention it--I LOVED IT and I miss it's warmed seat already!…

Hotel's Favorite
My husband and I attended a wedding here over Labor Day weekend. The hotel was very artsy, very modern, with electronic controls all over the room, including with the bidet! The food, however, is why I would return in a heartbeat. Tony's is the in-house restaurant. We were served filet mignon that was perfectly cooked, and chicken martini that was extremely tasty. All the vegetables were hot and also perfectly cooked. The cocktail hour included coconut shrimp, crabcakes, vegetable rolls .. everything was excellent. The service was extraordinary. Plenty of waitstaff, and everyone very available to provide or deliver whatever you requested.

Cannot even begin to rate this hotel HIGH ENOUGH to do it justice!! From guest services, to the professionalism of the staff, to the in house restaurant (Tony's), to the darling coffee shop, to the fabulous location, this place was PERFECT! I have no complaints about this hotel except that it just wasn't my style. The vibe is youthful and hip when I really just needed a quiet place to stay with my family for a few days. The lobby has wild art and loud music, but other than that, it was a really pleasant experience. The beds are super comfortable and I really loved the bathroom--despite the fact that it's one of those see-through, glass cubes I'm always worried about not having any privacy in. It's a mere, partially frosted pane of glass separating you from your travel partner. However, it does have a nice shower, FABULOUS toilet with all the fancy Japanese features, Nest amenities and a TV embedded in the mirror. The room was quiet despite a wedding reception going on down the hall and the complimentary breakfast was simple, but a nice touch. We were stuck on the elevator for about 15 minutes at 10 pm on Saturday night. The emergency phone connected us to a service that said " all lines are busy we'll call you back". We rang the alarm which nobody seemed to hear. We finally called the front desk on our cell phone and were put on hold. When someone finally got to us, they were able to fix it in another 5 minutes or so. Aside from the stressful situation, what was particularly galling was the hotel response. The night shift was indifferent and barely said sorry. The morning shift at checkout was about the same. We asked to speak to the manager, and they took our phone number and said they would pass it along. 24 hours later, no call, no apology. The callous indifference was absolutely infuriating! As to the hotel itself...All rooms were recently redone/upgraded to fancy features like the $10,000 toilet seat with "water features" TV inset in bathroom mirror, etc. But the hotel atmosphere was sterile and cold, the location is right off I-95. I believe many years ago this used to be a Howard Johnson. The Delamar at Greenwich Harbor is at the same price point and heads and shoulders better. Charming and warm atmosphere, beautifully decorated, lovely view of the harbor, and top-notch staff. …

This is a pretty good hotel. When you first enter it sort of seems like you are hitting up a night club, as a lot of locals seem to come here to chill and there's clubby type beats playing in the bar and restaurant area which comprises most of the first floor, and lots of people seem like they're trying to make the scene. But once you check in, get your complimentary glass of prosecco, and head to your room it's pretty quiet. That is until the morning. My only complaint about this hotel is the doors to the hall are a bit thin and the housekeeping staff starts playing music and talking to each other at about 630. Otherwise the rooms themselves are very nice. The Japanese bidet toilets were a 'nice touch'. Would stay here again for sure.

exceptional hotel; room, restaurant, people, food, were all exceptional. the only negative was the receipt. they listed every item you purchased from the restaurant. you had no idea if you ordered them. it would be better if they listed the final total for each meal you had there.

This place is exceptional from start to finish. For experience, the customer service was top notch all around, starting with a glass of prosecco upon checking in! Tony's restaurant outdoor dining includes a retractable roof providing an environment that matches the delicious food and drink. The decor is fresh, fun and eclectic and the rooms are outfitted with many luxury options, super comfortable beds, great outdoor seating with each room, amazing tubs, showers, heated toilet seats and technology enabled throughout.
