I stayed at the Riverwind during a bike trip. The hosts were very bike friendly and stored our bikes. I sent my luggage with Fedex and they kept it for me. The room had a beautiful quilt. The breakfast room was lovely and I was greeted with lovely smells as I walked in.

We stayed here for my sister's wedding at The Lace Factory, which is about a mile away in Deep River. The inn was clean, quiet, and comfortable. It's also within walking distance of the shops downtown. The breakfast was just ok, but that was my only complaint.

I had to make a quick business trip to Southern CT and needed a place to stay. After searching the net I found the River Wind Inn in Deep River. Elaine & Leo have owned this B & B for 10 years and do a marvelous job of welcoming guests to their beautiful home and the quaint town of Deep... More

We stayed here for one night on our way to Amherst College to drop the DD at camp. The inn is charming; it is not luxury but it is homey, clean, and quiet. We stayed in the Zelda as we were three. The innkeepers were gracious and very forthcoming with wonderful recommendations for restaurants. We had a great meal at... More

Elaine and Leo obviously enjoy welcoming and hosting their guests and even their guest's aquantances. This B&B captures their labor-of-love with well-appointed comfortable but uncluttered New England ambience throughout their quiet B&B and its grounds. Their local knowledge and information about nearby attractions and restaurants adds to the quality of stay by all who seek advice. Access to early morning... More

Innkeepers Elaine and Leo Klevens welcomed us with open arms and were fabulous hosts. The inn offers incredible comfort and the colonial style and history that truly made our stay unique. We stayed in the Hearts and Flowers room and could not have been happier. The guest lounge downstairs boasts a huge wood fireplace that lit up the room making... More

On the main road, this inn is very convenient for the main town street and easy to find although we did not notice any traffic noise or inconvenience. Elaine and Leo are lovely hosts and their Inn is very welcoming and comfortable. There are a couple of guest lounges with tea and coffee making facilities available. Breakfast was all freshly... We stayed at the Riverwind Inn a few weekends ago. We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautifully decorated and the room was perfect. Leo and Elaine were very friendly and even changed the breakfast for me due to some dietary restrictions that I have. Would definitely return if in the area again!

B&B's can seem the same, especially upon arrival. But our welcome by Leo and Elaine was so warm and friendly that we knew this was a great place to stay. We had just come a previous B&B experience with poor service and Leo and Elaine showed how B&B's should be managed. They welcomed us and got us settled in. They... More
