My wife and I have been staying here one our two times a year for 8 years, and it always is a pleasant stay. Manny, the owner, is the king of hospitality; he cares about his guests and his motel. It is neat, clean, affordable and safe. The housekeepers are the best. The grounds are well maintained with an abundance of flowers in season.
We stayed at the Quiet Corner Inn because we were going to a concert at Fox Theater at Foxwoods and we didn't want to drive all the way home. It was about a 35 minute drive north after the concert. This was much more affordable then staying near Foxwoods. I would recommend staying in one of the back rooms, we were in Rm. 124, to hear less traffic noise. We were in a room with two queen beds and honestly, it was one of the more spacious motel/hotel rooms we've stayed in. It was nice having the space. The room was comfortable, as were the beds, and the heat worked well. We had booked through Orbitz and I called to make sure the hotel had our reservation a few days after booking and they said they did. Then one week before I called again and the woman who answered said she did NOT have my reservation. Kind of freaked me out. I called Orbitz, they got it straightened out with Manny (either the owner or manager or both) and when I called back and spoke to Manny he assured me we were all set. Checking in went fine and he was very nice. It was nice having the parking right in front of the room with it being so cold. I liked not having anyone above me too - it's nice to have a one-story motel. Would definitely stay here again if we go to another concert at Foxwoods.…
It is always clean, quiet and reasonably priced. Amenities are basic but everything you need is there and functional. We just left after a 4 night stay and have been here before when visiting family in Putnam. Dunkin Donuts is gone but we plan to return.
We had a family reunion to attend in the area and our hostess recommended the Quiet Corner Inn. The room we reserved was indeed quiet since it was on the back side of the motel. It was clean and somewhat updated with a mini frig and coffee maker. Comfy beds and restaurants nearby. I would stay there again.
