Property's Favorite Review
Julie & Tony have created such a warm and friendly guest experience that we love coming back to. This was our third or fourth stay and they went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Their hospitality extended to my father-in-law and his wife who spent an afternoon enjoying the fabulous views over the Thimble Islands as we commandeered the B&B’s beautiful screened porch. Nothing was too much trouble, Julie & Tony were so accommodating and kind. We sat up chatting with them one evening and enjoyed that conversation so much, we truly felt that we were staying with friends in their lovely home. The breakfasts are delicious, a lovely fresh fruit salad followed by your choice of an extensive breakfast menu. (I highly recommend their special omelet and their crème brûlée bread pudding.) In the afternoon there’s wine & cheese and those beautiful views. The Egret Room is very comfortable; we both slept well and I really enjoyed the jacuzzi. They also have a suite with a separate entrance, living room, dining area, en suite bath and kitchenette. I could happily spend a month there. When we left Tony pulled 2 huge heads of lettuce out of their garden as a parting gift. I am a travel professional who has stayed in the finest 5* luxury properties in the world. I am just as happy spending a weekend at this B&B! Thank you Julie & Tony! Hope to see you again soon!

Pink granite, zen-like gardens, rock cliffs, water, salt, sun and hospitality seen only in owners who take pride in and love what they do. A beautiful home that tells a story and leaves you searching. Art historian Julie and engineer Tony provide comfort, conversation and delicious amenities with a light generous touch. I did not research this B&B so it was all a wonderful surprise for my wife and I. DEEP RELAXATION cannot be avoided here even if you try as you watch the tide go in and out 5 feet from your window. Room accommodations did not disappoint. Lovely! On the water's edge, islands that surround, miles of trails inland and coastal, bird watching, fresh seafood, boating and day trip exploring. A return visit will be happening. Thank you Julie and Tony!

After visiting our 103 yr old Uncle in Shelton, we stayed at this most peaceful and Exceptional B&B! The Heron Suite room was more than we expected with all the luxurious amenities at our fingertips. The details of the room and reception area, and dining area were well beyond our expextations. But the real gift was the love and warmth of Julie and Tony, siiting with us each afternoon for wine and cheese, and just sharing stories back and forth about life and this beautiful area of Stony Creek! Oh yes, the gourmet indivualized breakfasts are to kill for be it personal style eggs or famous omlets, bluebarry pancakes, fresh fruit cups with Tony's famous carved pineapple as a centerpiece. And the walking trail nearby with nesting osprey were a bonus in this little bit of heaven! They are an exceptional couple who share their beautiful rooms with those lucky enough to stay in this Heavenly Retreat!

This was just a perfect getaway for us. Traveling from south NJ to CT to spend Passover with family nearby, we decided to splurge a little and book into this B&B rather than some hotel chain. It was absolutely the best decision, and worth every penny. The property is just lovely and in a wonderful location looking out over the LI Sound and several of the Thimble Islands. There are a couple of Adirondack chairs out on their dock where you can sit and enjoy the view and watch the seagulls and osprey flying around and embrace the quietness. Tony and Julie are both warm and welcoming hosts who made us feel extremely comfortable, engaging us in conversation when we wanted and leaving us to contemplation and our own space when we didn’t. The main living room and adjoining dining room all have big windows looking out on the amazing view, They offered us wine and cheese in the evening around 5. When I said I’d love some wine, but didn’t want cheese, Julie offered instead a lovely home made appetizer of cucumber with smoked salmon. We sat with them and the other guest in the house sipping the wine and getting to know one another a little bit. Julie asked if we had dinner reservations, gave us some recommendations, and even called to make our reservations. A great start to our little getaway. The room itself was lovely, also having large well insulated windows looking out on the same spectacular view. An extremely comfortable king sized bed helped me sleep very well. The bathroom had a jet tub and a shower with modern plumbing fixtures. Nearby, there is a really nice walking trail, about 1.5 miles round trip from the B&B to the railroad tracks. We walked the trail all 4 days we were there, seeing the ospreys nests out in the marshes, and taking in the fresh air and scenery. So, I can’t forget to mention the breakfast. They ask you the day before what you might like and offer several choices of pancakes, French toast, eggs, omelets, yogurt cereals, fresh fruit, coffee, teas, juices..you name it. They accommodate changes to their menu. Everything was delicious and served on a lovely table with cloth napkins and place settings and flowers. I can’t say enough about how nice this place is and what a fine time we had. Don’t hesitate, it’s a great place.

My husband and I were in town Thanksgiving weekend for a wedding and had the pleasure of staying here. Julie and Tony were very accommodating and made sure that we had an excellent stay from start to finish. The suite was beautiful with amazing views. The innkeepers provided us with a map and suggestions on things to do in the area. We enjoyed early evening wine, cheese, and crackers by the fire with Tony and Julie. Breakfast was delicious and served with a breath taking view of the water. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

We just experienced a wonderful stay at this most beautiful B and B. The accommodations are so comfortable and spotless. We stayed in the Heron Suite and it was so perfect with chairs for reading as you gaze out on The Thimble Islands and Long Island Sound. Breakfast was meticulously prepared by our Inn Keepers Tony and Julie. We highly recommend the Signature Omelet and Creme Brûlée French toast which we enjoyed in the Great Room with a perfect view of The Thimble Islands. So delicious. We had the great fortune to experience two Sunsets that were beyond beautiful and lit the sky with spectacular pink highlights. The area around the B and B is quaint and historical. Walking the nearby Trolley Trail through the marshes is another highlight. Our hosts, Julie and Tony were so welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our chats with them while tasting delicious cheeses and wine which they graciously provided. This is a perfect B and B and one which we recommend highly. Looking forward to a return visit.

A delightful B and B! We thorough enjoyed this pristine home on a quiet cove with astounding views of the Thimble Islands. We were entertained by egrets and blue herons gliding across the water. Our hosts, Julie and Tony, were so charming and attentive. Breakfasts by the windows and on the screen porch were delicious and beautifully presented. Can I award six stars? I can! My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the home of Tony and Julie. We could not have asked for a more gorgeous place to relax for a weekend. We felt a warm welcome the minute we stepped from our car. The water views from our suite were absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed our delicious breakfast on the patio…so serene. I highly recommend this B&B if you’re looking for perfection. Hope to be back soon. Thank you for making this a memorable experience.
