The cabin was smelly and did not smell like it had been properly cleaned in quite sometime. You sign a paper when you check in that says you can check out at 12pm and then you are told that check out is at 10am. Pam Greer the manager is not friendly and actually walked in the room without permission to place a bill on the couch. I would NEVER stay here again and Pam needs a lesson in customer service she is a terrible manager. They also have a very rude front desk lady name Sandy. Never Again Steer Clear use Air B&B
There were fish hooks all over the living room floor, my seven year old even stepped on one! We found a big chunk of what appeared to be an old brownie under the dining room table. We are lucky our 1 year old didn't try to put either of those in her mouth. It was not cleaned well at all! The sink strainer was filthy too. I told the front desk but the woman working really didn't care and I never heard from the manager. The set-up was great for our little family of 5, but we will NEVER stay there again.
About 25 minutes from Colorado Springs/ Garden of the Gods. One double bed in the cabin and some oldish furniture, however it appeared clean. The room smelled slightly like smoke despite it being a non smoking room. The bathroom layout was interesting, but clean enough. The shower was large but took up most of the bathroom. We didn’t use the kitchen but it looked usable. They weren’t serving breakfast because of COVID. It served our purposes and the drive to everything wasn’t bad. It was nice to be out of the city a bit. The price was reasonable enough. They were nice and friendly.
In 2019 we stayed at Eagle Fire Lodge in one of the small units. It was very clean and comfortable. This year we had reservations for the larger suite "The Fish Suite" but due to the "Pandemic Corona Virus" the retreat was called off. The lodge reservation rules state that if the room is canceled prior to 14 days there will be a $50 charge, once the cancelation happens closer than 14 days (mine was 4 days) we would be charged the full amount $375. Eagle Fire Lodge was gracious enough to fully refund our total amount on deposit. The is a FIRST CLASS operation.
I needed a place for one night in Woodland Park for a fly fishing trip. In the past I stayed at The Country Inn, but it was becoming more miss than hit there. I stayed in the kitchenette room. It was a basic room with two queens. The bathroom was nicely amenitied. The kitchen was basic with a full refrigerator and a microwave. No stove. They do allow dogs, so if you’re near a room with a left behind pooch, you may get panicked barking. The Wifi didn’t work when I was there and that was frustrating. TV was fine. There seemed to be a generator coming on and off nearby but I didn’t hear it when I was trying to sleep. I would suggest being in a room away from the main road. It was mostly quiet at night and nice enough.
