I booked a "handicapped"/accessible room. The room I was given was the worst excuse for a handicapped room I have ever been in. I wrote them an e-mail after staying there for 3 days and got a "polite, so what, generic" response. Here are the highlights of my email. 1)This is NOT a proper handi-capped room. The tub walls are very high and it was very difficult to shower. You need to have rooms with walk-in showers. In addition, there is a handi-capped parking space about 50 feet from the room, but there is a curb with no ramp for walkers or wheel-chairs. 2) The mattress on the bed in this room is terribly uncomfortable. The mattress sinks in the middle so when two people sleep on it, both people roll toward the middle. The bedspread was old and faded. 3) when I pulled back the sheets to get into bed I found two tiny bugs between the sheets. I do not believe the room was vacuumed daily, but it was cleaned. 4) The hair dryer had a strange odor when I turned it on and just as I noticed it was smoking it literally sparked, popped and blew out in my hand. 5) We had dead, dry leaves all around our table and our front door. A man did some weed-whacking right in front of our vehicle. My husband offered to move the car, but was told it was not necessary. Do you realize how easy it is to kick up a rock with a weed-eater and break a windshield? 6) I was going to report these items to the front desk upon checking out, HOWEVER, we were leaving at about 7:15 on 8/24 and both doors to the front desk and breakfast room were locked. There was no note on the door or anything. No one was there and we, like several other people waiting outside were left up in the air. We could not check out nor could we eat breakfast before we left. Would not recommend this place.

Our booking somehow got mixed up online, but they fixed the issue and gave us the correct accommodations. The 2 story condo was great for our family, the kids had their own little room upstairs. Very family friendly with the free movie rentals and board games.

The Eagle Fire Lodge in Woodland Park, Co is an absolute gem! Sitting in one of the most Picturesque Areas I have traveled the Eagle Fire Lodge is recently renovated, very nicely done at that. The two queen suite was not only comfortable but surprisingly quiet. The staff was friendly, the breakfast tasty ( for hotel food). I’ll definitely be staying there again on my next visit to Woodland Park.

We were heading to Denver, and looking for something quaint where we could stay before attending a big convention. My husband loves log cabins, so we took one for 5 nights. I loved the little kitchen complete with 4 burner stove and oven. Microwave, toaster, full size coffee maker and electric tea kettle! The room was cozy, with queen bed and sofa. Decent bathroom. Would have loved a porch, but it’s still comfortable Decent breakfast. Daily housekeeping. They have self-serve laundry, and access to a hot tub. Staff is very helpful. The location is convenient for shopping, eating and site-seeing. Pikes Peak road is less than 10 miles away! Lots of fishing nearby. The only thing keeping us from a 5 star rating was that the bed was not terribly comfortable. My husband ended up on the couch most nights (even the 3 nights I was at the conference!). Next time, we think we will opt for one of the suites.

My husband and I booked our room here at the last minute. We called from the McDonald's down the street in the pouring rain, not realizing just how close we were to the hotel. We stayed in a 4 unit building on the inside of the complex. The room was charming with everything we needed, including a clean, comfortable bed and a clean shower and bathroom. The desk clerk was very accommodating when I needed quarters for the washer and dryer as she had to unlock the office to get me the change. The laundry facility was very clean and handy although in a rather dark corner of the property. Breakfast was all right but nothing special. I highly recommend this hotel.
