The room and space was extremely clean, staff friendly and overall a wonderful place to stay. We stayed for a celebratory trip and was very surprised at how thoughtful the Vasquez staff was with providing a cheese, fruit and meat tray to help us celebrate. Most definitely would recommend.
This used to be a great place to stay. Not so more. They “are not offering breakfast right now”, even though that was offered when we booked in August. When asked about it, they pointed us to two stale muffins and a pot of coffee in the lobby. When we asked further, they actually told us to go to McDonald’s. The bartender was extremely rude, and would not let us sit at a completely empty bar, because they were “booked”, though there was no one else in the bar at the time. When we asked about the bus schedule, they told us to look it up online. Would never stay here again.
We stayed at VCI December 21-24 and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms are clean and cozy. Bed is super comfortable. The hotel is in Downtown WP so easy access to mountain shuttle, restaurants and shopping. We will deff stay again.
I chose this hotel for a quick few days of solo skiing. It is located close to bars, restaurants, ski rental, and the Lyft (the local bus shuttle). When I arrived, the hotel and restaurant (Volario’s located on the first floor) seemed deserted. I entered the vestibule, and rang the number noted by the phone. A young woman drove down from another property to check me in. She mentioned as she gave the keys, “If you’d like to move, let me know. We get complaints about restaurant and road noise from that room.” I thought it was a strange thing to say, but I took a chance. My room, 214, was directly at the top of the stairs, right above the restaurant bar. The room was clean, well-appointed, and had a recently remodeled bathroom. It was perfect for one person and ski gear. It may be bit cozy for a couple, but for a few days it should be fine. The bed and sheets were the stars of the room; high quality. The first night the restaurant was closed, and the hotel was VERY quiet. Not a soul to be seen or heard. The next night the attendant’s comment made more sense. About 5pm, as the restaurant was preparing to open, the staff turned on the house music, a speaker for which is located in the ceiling directly under room 214. I can see why someone could complain. I went for drinks and dinner elsewhere, and when I returned, the music was still going. The staff left it on until they had closed and cleaned—maybe 10:30-11:00pm. If you had children or anyone who retires early, it would be problematic. For me, after full days skiing then drinks and dinner, not a problem. Overall the hotel fit my requirement well. I would not hesitate to stay again for a mid-week ski trip. …
Everything about our stay was great! The room was nice and the hot tub was easy to use and clean, it was a great amenity (and the robes were a bonus)! The location was perfect for attending the Winter Park Beer Festival (right across the street). We love visiting Winter Park for a weekend getaway. The only thing that was a bummer was that when we made our reservations we were told we would receive $10 each towards breakfast each day of our stay, and when we arrived the place that served breakfast was closed, so breakfast was not included, and that was part of the reason we choose this hotel to stay at.
