Stayed one night for a romantic getaway. Hosts were very nice and welcoming ... but the inn is just average. Overpriced for what we got ... but the rate was comparable to other places in the area, so you are paying the going rate. We have stayed in so many delightful B&B's ... this just wasn't one of them. We are very sorry this guest was disappointed in the property and breakfast. We do take pride in keeping the rooms clean and fresh. We try to replace items that are in need, but sometimes things might get over looked. Some of the bathrooms are, indeed carpeted, as the tile can get very cold in the winter. The bathrooms that... Laura and Greg are excellent hosts offering much help with restaurants, and how to navigate around winter park, our breakfasts were different every morning and very well prepared. Every morning fresh fruit and great variety. The view from the hot tub was fantastic. The location was perfect for getting to the mountain resort as the bus stopped at the bottom of... More

Very charming family hotel. We planned to stay two nights, but could extrnd our stay by one night and left early in the morning to continue our ski trip to another resort. Nice and big breakfast served, shuttle to the resort was handy, room was cosy and owners very friendly and helpful.

We found the Winter Park Chateau to be absolutely wonderful. Laura & Gregg invite you into their home and made us feel so welcome. Their local knowledge was invaluable, saving us a lot of time and money and we loved the breakfast. We almost booked into a hotel up at Winter Park Resort and are so glad we didn't. The... More

Stayed here for a fall weekend with my sweetheart. Really, really comfortable top floor bedroom and bed. Nice shower. Great big hot tub overlooking the mountains. The host and hostess were really nice: attentive without being intrusive. Excellent location from which you can walk to dinner and drinks, and a short drive from great hiking. Spacious comfortable common room. And... More

I almost feel ashamed to some degree to write a review that may in fact clearly be opposite of my last here. Quite frankly we may not return to this destination as this once was a favored site of memories and appeal. Arrival, met by owner Gary. Not so welcoming, upon hand shake meet I felt a tension from the... More

Gosh, sometimes it's so difficult to read people. I'm sorry how things were misinterpreted as the goal is to please and cater to the guests. As this guest booked through a 3rd party they are assigned a room at random. We actually upgraded them to a larger room thinking they would appreciate it. They did not mention they wanted the... We stayed in Winter Park, CO as we celebrated our 45th Wedding Anniversary. In looking online, the Winter Park Chateau looked very romantic and nice, so I called the hotel directly and spoke with one of the co-owners, Laura. She and her husband, Greg, own and run the chateau. She was so nice and helpful and I was able to... More

Winter Park Chateau has the warmest, most gracious hosts that we have experienced in a long time. They welcome you to their home, serve a delicious, filling breakfast, and are extremely helpful in providing suggestions and answering questions about what there is to do in the local vicinity. When we approached the Chateau, we were struck by its interesting Victorian architecture and when we were brought to our room, liked its roominess and low key decor. However, over the course of our 4 day stay, we continued to find aspects of the place that diminished the experience. The owners, although nice enough, did not seem to really care... More

We are sorry that this guest didn't feel that they were given the personal attention that they wanted. We try to analyze how much interchange our guest want from us, and sometimes we are not "right on". We do care about our guests and try to do our best to make everyone happy, but obviously we do fall short. We... More

Our family stayed for 4 nights while visiting extended family for a wedding. Room was clean and well appointed...very good size with very nice ensuite bath. Breakfast was varied each day with plenty of fresh hot food including fresh fruit. The owners were very attentive and helpful to our group. Hot tub and mountain views were superb.
