Westin has always been my go to hotel chain, but lately I've had a series of bad experiences and this was one of them. Firstly, I had a ton of luggage and I have a bad back. There were not any bellhops or anyone to help me. The room we stayed in was dusty and dirty and the linens which are usually soft and wonderful were not. We actually decided to leave a day early because the hotel was packed due to a convention and was loud. This hotel was more like a Sheraton than a Weston.
My family and I stayed two nights at the Westin Westminster before heading to Breckenridge. Matthew at the front desk was an absolute joy going above and beyond in every way. Great hotel, better service.
We traveled to the area for my daughter's wedding, this was a few days stop on the way to Estes Park. We snuck in while waiting for the grand children and our other daughter. The bartender - Dennis - asked us how he could help us. While my wife was thinking I requested a cold draft. Dennis went into detail on how their margaritas are the best and although I can't recall the exact play, his description changed my order! It was not too sweet, almost strong yet soothing without an afterbite. We made more visits after since this southwestern restaurant was really spacey, comfortable, and a staff that made your time their feel welcomed! We will be back!
We stayed for three nights as it was close to family. The hotel was just what we wanted. Clean, close to family and so very well done. We loved walking around the property as the waterfall and fountain were incredible.
Nothing but the lobby was luxurious. I got an Ada accessible Delux king room for my mom and it was horrible. The room was nothing but bed, the shower produced a sink faucet size stream of water, there was very minimal room for her to put her belongings, the room smelled like perfume covering a sewer smell! Awful! To top it off, check out is at noon and housekeeping started pounding on the door at 7:00 then again at 8:00. There was only one restaurant in the hotel, no room service no breakfast…..nothing! This hotel is more like a cheap roadside hotel.
This is a beautiful property in a great location. Perfect if you are on vacation -- not perfect if you are in town on business. No Coffee or food in the morning before 7:00 as there is not enough staff. No bellmen to assist with luggage/work equipment. Just kind of "no frills" -- Which again, is great, if you don't have work or a schedule to adhere to . . .The small staff they do have are really nice and sweet -- They just need help :)
On a very busy weekend, NUVO Dance Convention I walked in after finding the hotel through a Google search and was warmly greeted by Laurie at the front desk. She was able amidst the chaos to secure a room for me at a fair rate and get me up to my room incredibly quickly and easily being a walk in and all. The room is great, pool is nice and fitness center has great equipment. Delicious Southwestern dining and outdoor area with a pond and promenade. Thank you Laurie and I really hope your GM David reads this. I was stressed, my phone was dying and I was so tired of driving but your genuine understanding and warmth turned my night around.
I would like to express how exceptional “ Evan” was during our stay at the Westin Super nice and ever so helpful . He offered to go get us things we needed without hesitating. We had a very relaxing stay enjoy the view twelve rooms high …. Just WOW! We are a fan of the Westin ;)
WARNING!!!!! - GUESTS BEWARE 821060857 I was a guest for a two-day conference. I arrived the night before and was instructed to offload our conference material at the loading dock and then park in the back lot by the conference center. I awoke the next morning to find my truck stolen. I immediately contacted staff at the front desk and was completely blown off. I was not asked for my guest name or room number. The guy didn't look surprised at all and simply provided the phone number for the Westminster Police Department like he had done so many times before. This dismissive behavior continued throughout my stay. I was avoided like I am now. My truck was older, but customized and irreplaceable in many ways. This hotel is negligent and has a history of vehicles being stolen. Another truck was stolen just 10-days before mine. They are doing nothing to protect the property and the interests of their guests. Their behavior only makes everything you're going through worse.…
I stayed at the Westin in Westminster CO more than 10 times this year and each time it got progressively worse. I was repeatedly given excuses and promised that things would improve, but they did not. The last two visits with this hotel were absolutely horrible. Indeed, the customer service provided in response was so bad that I am obliged to write this review to warn potential customers not to stay here. Illustrating this point, the time before last during my stay there was an argument that broke out between people staying near me on the top floor that continued to escalate in the common hallway disturbing everyone on the floor after midnight. When the dispute continued for about 20 minutes and did not stop I tried calling the front desk to ask for help but nobody would answer the phone. After 3 calls I finally got the front desk to answer and they informed security would be sent up. An hour later, when the arguments had spread to numerous other guests staying on the floor, I tried called the front desk back, and again it took several calls to get anyone to answer, which was infuriating. I was again informed security would be sent up, but the disturbance continued for about another half hour, preventing anyone on the floor from sleeping well into the morning hours. The last time I stayed in mid October, the power and water went out in my room and apparently many others, shortly after 5 pm. Again, no one at the front desk would answer the phone and the Westin did not take any steps to inform guests what was going on in any way. Having no other option I contacted the Marriott Bonvoy customer service only to be informed that they could not get anyone to answer at the hotel either and to stay in my room for safety and security reasons. I spent the night in a cold dark room finally losing power to my phone that could not be recharged. The power and water were not restored until the following morning, and I had to take a cold shower that morning. Upon departing there was no explanation provided, but I was assured that I would be taken care of for the extreme inconvenience. However, the Westin merely added the points that they had used from my Bonvoy account to compensate me for this horrible experience, but the hotel has failed and refused to do anything further to compensate me for the scary situation which was the most unpleasant stay I have ever endured at a hotel. I would not recommend this facility to anyone!!!…
