I would recommend La Plaza Hotel to travelers in this area. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The staff went out of the way to be friendly. It was very convenient. The hotel has historical significance, but that is all I will say so that I do not spoil it for you! The rooms are individually decorated and featured premium... More

Trying to find a good place to stay in Walsenburg is not easy so we decided to try this quaint B&B. Upon arrival they were surprisingly busy! We got to look at all the available rooms CV and decided on a suite with two separate rooms perfect for our 3 person family. The beds were very comfortable and provided a... More

Our family of 7 (two little ones included) stopped here for dinner on our way to Taos. It was great. Wonderful entrees and great desserts. The service was friendly and prompt. Great people running the place. I have also heard from close friends that the hotel is a wonderful place to stay. We went on our to Taos, full, happy,... More

There were 3 of us. We arrived at 7pm on a Tuesday night. The place is small. Many people came and went more quickly than. Our waiter, Zack, was fabulous. He spent a lot of time answering our question and never making us feel rushed. I watched him at other tables and he did the same with every table. I... More

It's too bad Trip Advisor doesn't offer minus stars because La Plaza Inn would definitely warrant. Historic? Try a 1970 window AC that made more noise than actually lowering the 95 degree temp in the room. Amenities? Not much, but who needs shampoo when there was No Hot Water!! When we asked about the hot water the employees assured us... More

I met my 82 year old mom in Walsenburg for an evening event at the Museum of Friends; had booked the La Plaza Inn based on the photos on their Facebook page. We found our kitchenette suite cute and charming. The decor was pretty and the two rooms gave us variety for our visiting and privacy for our sleep. We... More

For travelers interested in history, this authentic but very comfortable inn is the place to make a base for museum exploration. There's a jail/mining museum a block away, and the county historical museum next door!

This is a renovated historic hotel in what once must have been a bustling downtown. The staff was friendly and helpful. Guest rooms are all upstairs above the lobby. In the guest wing, there is a central sitting area, a common refrigerator and a self- service coffee bar. The rooms are comfy and clean. We had dinner, delicious prime rib,... More

I didn't stay here but did have lunch with two friends. The menu had a good variety of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and lunch entrees. My veggie wrap was tasty and filling. I had waffle cut sweet potato fries on the side. It was all yummy and the portions were generous. My companions had a salad and sandwich and both said... More
