We are shocked and horrified! We have reservations for Tivoli this coming weekend. My husband tested positive for COVID Monday. We got in touch with the lodge that day and were told we needed to email the manager directly. Assuming there would be no problem with canceling, as we could provide positive COVID test results, we really had no concerns... other than treating the virus. My husband just got off the phone with Dalton, who informed him that we are still responsible for 20% of fees. I think most people would choose to still come and enjoy a vacation, especially as my husband is having very mild symptoms. I'm truly infuriated that we are out $400. for being considerate and responsible! We are Boulder residents and frequent visitors to Vail. This was our first AND LAST time to try Tivoli. So disappointing.

Dear T1022VPshannonw - During these unprecedented times we have made changes to our cancellation policy to accommodate guests like yourself. Last minute cancellations are subject to our Winter Policy and technically would be full forfeiture of ones stay. We are glad you did the right thing by communicating with us and we hope you are quarantining to limit any risk to anyone else. With that said, our rebooking fee will only assist us slightly in attempting to resell your room. Our stance is purely survival and ensuring we save our lodge from the COVID pandemic. Unlike large chain franchise hotels, our small lodge cannot afford to let everyone cancel due to COVID implications. We apologize for the frustration caused on behalf of COVID, and we hope your family has a quick recovery. Respectfully, Jarred

From the moment I made the reservation and spoke to Chris about my boyfriend’s surprise birthday week, I knew we would be in good hands. Chris gave me several options for activities and hiking. He coordinated the chocolate and wine to be placed in the room upon arrival, the white water rafting with Timberline Tours and horseback riding at Vail Stables as well as reservations at Mountain Standard for dinner. When we arrived at Tivoli Lodge, we were greeted at the front desk by Jared who took the time to remember my name and greeted me every time I saw him. He handed me a folder with the itinerary of activities for the week that was created by Chris. As we entered the room, the chocolates and wine were placed in the room that overlooked the beautiful mountains and was well appointed with a soaking tub, shower, fireplace, and kitchenette area. The professionalism and attention to detail by the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, walking distance from Vail Village and its shops and restaurants...the list goes on. I live in Las Vegas and have a grand expectation of what kind of experience guests should have. Tivoli Village was exceptional! We shall be returning to Vail and will choose to stay at Tivoli Lodge if they will have us. Thank you, Chris, Jared, and the rest of the staff at Tivoli Lodge for making our week magical and practically perfect in every way.

We had a great stay at the Tivoli, the staff was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to work with. The lobby is cozy with a great fireplace, nice bar, and they are navigating the Covid restrictions very well. Our rooms were perfect; clean, updated, quiet and just want we needed after long ski days. The location is a fantastic hotel choice for four reasons ( in my opinion) 1) a very short walk to Riva Bahn lift offering quick access to Northwoods Express Lift to the top. Which can get you over the backside for first crack at powder runs if it snows. 2) Short Walk to Gondola One, doable with ski boots on. 3) ski in - At the end of the day you can ski past the Golden Peak Gopher Lift right to the street behind the hotel. I would consider it a ski in hotel which is awesome when you are spent at the end of a long day. 4) Easy short walk to Vail village shops and restaurants. We walked to all of our dining. Preorder breakfast at night (door tag menu) and it’s ready in the lobby in the morning. It was good. Complimentary Coffee and Hot Chocolate available in the mornings and again in the evenings along with fresh baked cookies. Ski locker is convenient and the attendant is helpful, especially at the end of the day when he helps with gear and delivers your shoes so you don’t have to get up to get them. It’s a little thing but it’s meaningful when your legs are shot. Based on our experience we wouldn’t consider anywhere else, the comfortable cozy feel of the lodge, fantastic staff and location make it hard to beat! Thanks Tivoli Staff!

The location is fantastic and is the largest redeeming quality. As for the rest of our stay the customer service was pretty poor overall, and eventually it weighed on the experience. Want to give them benefit of the doubt that maybe this is COVID related but last I checked the cdc has not outlawed customer service.

Dear devinmagnuson, Thank you for choosing the Tivoli Lodge for your visit to Vail. Based on your comments, its evident we didn't meet your expectation and we were hoping to get more feedback on the service you received. I know masks, social distancing, and some changes to our hotel make it less intimate and genuine. It's been a very interesting year for everyone in the travel industry to say the least. Feel free to email me personally with any constructive notes so i can review with my team. Thanks again for staying with us. Best Regards - Jarred

Great hotel at Vail Village! Excellent customer service, starting with the valet parking, the front desk, the person at the bar, they are all super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and warm, the view was amazing. I totally recommend this hotel. I’m looking forward to comeback next year to Vail and stay in this hotel.
