Tivoli Lodge garners high marks for its prime location, with many guests applauding its easy access to ski lifts and village attractions. The hotel's rooms are often lauded for their comfort, cleanliness, and tranquility, though some suggest they could benefit from modernization.
While opinions on value vary, with valet parking being a point of contention, the atmosphere's traditional charm and festive decorations are well-received. The hotel's cleanliness and service generally impress, aside from an isolated incident with a bartender, and the amenities, including mountain-view rooms with fireplaces, are popular with guests.

Hotel's Favorite
Excellent lodge/ boutique hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast, around the block from the ski lift, comfortable room, and beautiful mountain view. Very quiet neighborhood.
Will definitely return when we are back in Vail.

I liked how spacious and quiet our room was (definitely above average), and that it was very easy to get to the lift (~4 minute walk). I was underwhelmed by the breakfast served and the food options in general. There was a vending machine with junk food on the main floor, no snacks or minibar in the room. No lunch or dinner service. The hotel put out coffee and packaged cookies in the afternoon which was appreciated but there weren't many refills to this service.
We kept our ski gear at a gear rental shop by the lift. Apart from not being right at the hill, the ski valet room was self-service.
A $45 per day charge applies to give the option to go to a local health club about a 5 minute walk away. The health club was nice, complete with steam room/sauna/hot tubs and full gym and climbing wall. But bring flip flops if you want to use the steam/room/sauna/hot tub - spa footwear was not provided and it was awkward walking around barefoot.
Vail village is quite large and it was at times convenient to get around via the free bus service (there are stops to go in either direction ~30 seconds away from this hotel). Otherwise, it was pleasant to walk from one end of the village to another. I would say that this end of the village is quieter than Lionshead.
Overall I feel the hotel was OK, location was very good, but that the value could have been better.

The Tivoli is unsurpassed as a place to stay in Vail. The location is super, right at the base of a gondola, within walking distance to the Golden Peak ski school, a short walk to the center of town, and with a bus stop steps from the front door. The hospitality is impeccable and the lodging never disappoints. Highly recommended.

This was our third visit to Vail and to the Tivoli Lodge. We still find it such a wonderful place to stay in Vail.
The rooms are large and comfortable. Amenities include lots of drawers, closet space, microwave, mini-fridge, l’occitane toiletries, fireplace, comfy bed and pillows, bathrobes, huge HD TV, coffee maker and wine glasses.
The hot breakfast (for an additional charge) is huge with lots of great hot and cold selections. The dining area is lively and the fireplace is cozy.
We did not use the jacuzzi but it is new since our last visit. They also now sell alcoholic beverages in the bar and the afternoon cookies and coffee are amazing! The lodge dog, Speed, is always a welcome sight!
The staff is friendly and efficient. I used the fitness room and mentioned the TV and water cooler weren’t working. They are the next day, however there were no towels or tissues then. A Peloton bike, treadmill, elliptical and stationary bike along with weights make for a good fitness center. Additionally guests are comped at the nearby Vail Athletic Center if more is needed.
Located near all the great restaurants and the ski lifts, Tivoli is our “go to” home away from home!

From the moment I made the reservation and spoke to Chris about my boyfriend’s surprise birthday week, I knew we would be in good hands. Chris gave me several options for activities and hiking. He coordinated the chocolate and wine to be placed in the room upon arrival, the white water rafting with Timberline Tours and horseback riding at Vail Stables as well as reservations at Mountain Standard for dinner.
When we arrived at Tivoli Lodge, we were greeted at the front desk by Jared who took the time to remember my name and greeted me every time I saw him. He handed me a folder with the itinerary of activities for the week that was created by Chris. As we entered the room, the chocolates and wine were placed in the room that overlooked the beautiful mountains and was well appointed with a soaking tub, shower, fireplace, and kitchenette area.
The professionalism and attention to detail by the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms, walking distance from Vail Village and its shops and restaurants...the list goes on.
I live in Las Vegas and have a grand expectation of what kind of experience guests should have. Tivoli Village was exceptional! We shall be returning to Vail and will choose to stay at Tivoli Lodge if they will have us.
Thank you, Chris, Jared, and the rest of the staff at Tivoli Lodge for making our week magical and practically perfect in every way.

Toilet clogged and I told the front desk, wasn’t a huge mess. I put towels on floor around toilet and can back to unclogged toilet with the same towels left around toilet. Gross. Night manager told me they thought the towels were from shower. They were wrapped around toilet. They hadn’t made my room up in three days, COVID , I get it but they made it up every two days the first four nights. I guess they thought I had enough. For $680 a night and a 23 year old manager that’s a know it all. I wouldn’t stay there.

Responded Mar 30, 2021
Dear Ironman4621, Thank you for taking a moment to review our hotel on this public forum. Although I am not 23 and much older, I am the individual you spoke to that evening. Let me clear the confusion for yourself and anyone interested in this incident. You approached me showing a picture of a toilet and your towels on the floor. You explained the maintenance guy took care of a clog you had with your toilet earlier in the day. But your dissatisfaction was that he didn't remove all the towels on your bathroom floor. I responded with "please allow me to send someone over there to take care of those and bring you some fresh ones". You were baffled by my response and barked "I don't need towels, you need to refund my money". I followed with "Unfortunately this particular situation doesn't warrant such a refund, and to be fair guests often leave towels on the floor. But I would still like to send someone to take care of your towels". With that said... when the occasion arises, we are happy to make it right when guests have an extremely poor experience at our hotel. But in this instance, this is a simple 2 minute fix and doesn't impact an entire stay as a whole. When you asked to talk to the manager and I explained that I was the General Manager, you responded with calling me a "punk ass kid" and stormed off. Offensive comments aside, we wish you the best of luck in finding accommodations for the future in Vail, CO. Regards - Jarred

Had a great 5-night stay at this wonderful hotel in Vail, recently. The property and accommodations are first rate and the staff could not have been more friendly! Just a couple of observations that visitors need to be aware of - the only viable parking option is hotel valet at $40/nt, and there is an additional $42/nt 'resort fee' charge which may be somewhat typical of many hotels but is quite annoying, to say the least. While it apparently allows guests to use a gym across the street, I can't imagine more than 2% of guests ever care to take advantage of this. I wish hotels would just be up front about their total charges when the reservations are made and prices are quoted!
Besides these items, though, I would highly recommend Tivoli and intend to stay there again if possible.
One extra nice plus - they have an OUTSTANDING morning coffee/tea bar downstairs each morning!

Dear Scott H, Thanks for taking a moment to share your feedback on TA. Our team strives to communicate on all platforms any taxes and fees so there are zero questions on a day of arrival. Our resort fee does include many benefits other than the Vail Athletic Club. Ski Valet, High Speed Wifi, Premium Channels, Coffee and Cookies service and local discounts with partnered vendors to name a few. Understandably as mentioned not everyone takes advantage of everything listed. But we hope everyone finds value rather than being separately charged for each item. Nevertheless, we are so happy you found the stay outstanding and we hope you come for an encore visit. Have an incredible 2020. Warm Regards - Jarred

Our family of four had a fantastic stay at the Trivoli Lodge during the pandemic. We felt safe and well taken cared of. The lobby required face masks and the staff was very well trained to make sure we felt safe and comfortable. We were blessed with a great stay. The Lodge was a three minute walk to the Village. There is a great free parking lot right by as well but the valet fee was reasonable at $20 per day.
We made an honest mistake booking the wrong night and the manager was very gracious getting us in. The receptionist was also super friendly. I have also stayed at the Sebastian in Vail which was excellent as well. However, for the price point I would say that the Trivoli is as good as the Sebastian will be substantially more economical. The Vail village itself was beautiful and fun as usual. We were impressed that nearly everyone wore masks in the village and took the current pandemic seriously. This commitment makes traveling during the pandemic more responsible and gave me peace of mind so that I could actually enjoy our fall trip.

We had a great stay at the Tivoli, the staff was friendly, helpful and a pleasure to work with. The lobby is cozy with a great fireplace, nice bar, and they are navigating the Covid restrictions very well.
Our rooms were perfect; clean, updated, quiet and just want we needed after long ski days.
The location is a fantastic hotel choice for four reasons ( in my opinion)
1) a very short walk to Riva Bahn lift offering quick access to Northwoods Express Lift to the top. Which can get you over the backside for first crack at powder runs if it snows.
2) Short Walk to Gondola One, doable with ski boots on.
3) ski in - At the end of the day you can ski past the Golden Peak Gopher Lift right to the street behind the hotel. I would consider it a ski in hotel which is awesome when you are spent at the end of a long day.
4) Easy short walk to Vail village shops and restaurants. We walked to all of our dining.
Preorder breakfast at night (door tag menu) and it’s ready in the lobby in the morning. It was good. Complimentary Coffee and Hot Chocolate available in the mornings and again in the evenings along with fresh baked cookies.
Ski locker is convenient and the attendant is helpful, especially at the end of the day when he helps with gear and delivers your shoes so you don’t have to get up to get them. It’s a little thing but it’s meaningful when your legs are shot.
Based on our experience we wouldn’t consider anywhere else, the comfortable cozy feel of the lodge, fantastic staff and location make it hard to beat!
Thanks Tivoli Staff!

My wife and I were looking for a slopeside location for three days of skiing at Vail before attending a conference in a nearby city. We had an outstanding experience at the Tivoli. The room was quiet, the bed was soft and comfortable, the common area was a great place to hang out by the fire and eat free afternoon cookies, coffee, tea, and cider. The buffet breakfast was excellent, with a variety of dishes that changed each day, and always omelettes made to order. The ski valet was convenient, although sometimes the room was not staffed and you had to retrieve or rack your skis/boots. The staff at the front desk was always helpful in providing directions, advice on restaurants, and useful information about Vail.

I only know of one. It’s large and rectangular in size. Very nice!
