Free parking, breakfast included, and no resort fee make this a no brainer. Yes, it seems dated but that's some of the charm. Underneath parking is indeed tight... keep an eye on all corners of your vehicle while you're down there, and hang on when you pop the back hatch in the air. Big SUVs I do not believe will fit. Breakfast right now is Grab and Go, but it's not a pre-bagged selection for everyone. You fill your paper plate and then go somewhere else to eat to limit gathering in the lobby area. We had microwave burritos one morning and microwave Jimmy Dean bfast sandwiches the second morning. Microwaves are down in the lobby area. Also a few diff fruits, cereal, oatmeal, breads, muffins, juices, yogurts, milk, tea, coffees (all day). We're big on breakfast and we took more than we can eat both mornings! This alone saved us probably $50 each morning for a Vail breakfast for two out in the village. Yes, the shared balconies are wierd, but we used ours whenever we wanted without ever seeing our neighbor until the second morning as we were packing our bags to leave. If your neighbor checks out while you're there, you have until at least 4pm check-in time until you have to worry about it again... luck will help. It's a small fitness room... two or three people will fill it. Each morning my wife and I were the only ones using it at 6am so no issues there. Pretty sure there was no A/C in the room and no fan in the bath. Great location right in the village... we didn't use the car for the day and a half we were there. Pool was closed but we used the hot tub once and that was very nice. Seemed pretty quiet at night except for some loud doors every once in awhile. Front desk folks were pleasant so that we would definitely stay here again. A great vaule and highly recommend!…
We had a superb stay at Sitzmark Lodge. The rooms were reasonably priced, exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful - especially Adam at the front desk. We will definitely be staying here again when we return to Vail.
Good location. The room shared a deck with another room, so you could only not sit outside, but we had to keep our blinds closed the whole visit to where it was freaky feeling someone could be literally peaking through the blinds on your deck! We called the front desk to see if maybe the room we shared a deck with was empty, just so it would feel more comfortable, but they said they would NOT tell us. So creepy.
After the stressful entry of parking in their tight-turns and tiny-spaces parking area, our stay was wonderful. The room had a small deck with a nice view of the mountain, comfortable furniture, a dining table and comfy chairs, good wifi and TV, and a fantastic location, right in the center of the Village. The only negatives were that there was no microwave in the room, and the elevator (slow) which did not go down to the parking level. So if you need a cart or rely on your suitcase wheels, you need to push it up the parking ramp, around the building, and into the front lobby. Otherwise, it is stairs to the first floor where the elevator is.
The staff is the most friendly of any place we have stayed. Marjoria is awesome. Everyone there goes out of there way to help you. We will always stay at the Sitzmark The Sitzmark is great for families as they have a great pool and hot tub that are kept very clean. The have a fitness room for those who wish to excerise. They have Temp-ur-pedic matresses that are very comportable.
