We arrived in Vail without a place to stay and thankfully the Wren had availability. the front desk staff was more than helpful and friendly. The location is only a 10-15 minute walk to the main shopping area of Vail. The building is in a perfect location overlooking the river. The 3 bedroom condo was very spacious and nicely decorated. No complaints at all and would stay here again.
My family really enjoyed our accomodations at the The Wren. It is an older property, but it seems to have been maintained very well and is improving. I was told the fire pit area was all new and there is a nice community room with couches TV and shuffleboard table. The furniture in our unit was very nice, new and comfortable, and the kitchen was in great shape. The pool and hot tubs were wonderful, kids had a blast swimming with snow piled up just feet away. We also appreciated the underground parking. Is it a bit of a walk to the lifts? Probably about 15 mintues to Golden Peak lifts (no need to walk all the way to the gondala), probably longer if you were wearing ski boots, but that's why I just wear regular shoes and throw my stuff in a locker when I get there. On…
It feels like the Wren is holding on by a shoe string. The ski shuttle is not a priority as far as I could tell. They say it's only a 5 minute walk but it is really 30 to the Gondola, up and down the stairs of the parking garage. In ski boots this is a bit much to start the day! And they ONLY run a shuttle for ski hours which means you are walking back and forth to dinner. Which I didn't mind because I like the exercise but if you are tired from a day on the slopes there is NO food near by. Staff was rude. Their offices don't open until 8am and they seemed put out when we had a question about our departure before this time. You can do better! We were trying to save a buck as Vail is expensive. It's worth paying a little extra. The Wren is on its way out. I am only so frank as I…
Always a pleasure dealing with the efficient staff at the Wren in beautiful Vail CO. The room furniture and flooring upgrades look great. Improvements around the jacuzzi area making it more handicap accessible looks great. Keep up the great job of getting everyone to and from the mountain via the shuttle in a timely manor. A shout out to Todd and Val for all their hard work keeping all the owners and guest happy year after year.
We recently stayed at The Wren Dec 7-14th and had a wonderful time. The staff is very friendly, resort clean and well kept and in the winter have a ski shuttle. The resort is a short walk into Vail Village where you will find wonderful restaurants, apres music, nightlife and of course world class skiing. The town was beautiful decorated for the holidays. We have stayed here many times and love it!
We have stayed in several condos within the Vail Valley and find The Wren to be one of the best. Great location in a quiet area next to Ford Park but just a 5-10 minute walk to the village. The units are clean and well maintained and the views are spectacular from the balconies on the backside facing the ski runs. Rooms on the south side have great views overlooking the ski runs and Gore Creek below. It is near the interstate but we did not hear the road noise. I am sure we will return to The Wren.
Absolutely beautiful time share. Very well appointed unit w/an excellent staff. The view from the deck was beautiful. The hot tubs were nice & hot and the heated pool was a real treat. Close to everything. Pepi's was our favorite restaurant. Great German food.
We are presently at the Wren. We love the fact that it sits back from the hustle bustle of Vail Village and still it allows the beautiful serene views of the slopes and creek. It is just a short walk to the village along beautiful Gore Creek. It sits next to Ford Park. There are many different walks that allow beautiful scenery that are close by. There is in town bus service if you need it for ease. We love that we can walk to the many restaurants in the Village, all which are excellent. The condo is anointed with all the kitchen necessities that you need. It is a spotless and large condo. The bed is comfy. Plenty of hot water and water pressure. The bathroom in this one bedroom, one bath condo is large. We have been here before and a nice edition this year was…
The unit was ideally located if you like to avoid all the hustle and bustle of Vail. It's right next to the botanic gardens and ampitheater. A short walk along the creek gets you to center village. The unit was comfortable and well equipped. The pool and spa area was very nice.
Be careful when you read reviews as to get uptodate comments. The facilities have been updated and are just fine for a condo and ski lodge. Requested few steps and we were accommodated. Office staff friendly and considerate. Left an item behind and they contacted us and sent the item to our home address very quickly and efficiently. Little delay in getting mid week laundry service, but office staff accommodated us not cleaning staff. Due to reviews I thought the place would be run down but not at all. Right next to the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens which made a great stroll morning and evening. Easy walk to village along the path. Parking convenient, easy to come and go. We were impressed with the TV⁄ cable selections.
