Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
The Sebastian - Vail garners accolades for its plush amenities including a high-end spa and ski services, along with an attentive and professional staff. While its luxurious atmosphere is well-regarded, some guests suggest a more consistent musical ambiance could enhance the experience. Despite its coveted location in Vail Village, the hotel's value is questioned by guests who feel the room rates exceed the offered experience, notably when rooms appear darker and less modern than advertised. Nonetheless, the hotel's overall cleanliness and location remain highlights for many visitors.

The most courteous service I have ever had. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff. A very well-maintained property. Close to the village and buses to places more distant. Beautiful scenery and lots of shops close by.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. Booked through Amex and expected a warm welcome which we didn’t receive. Never received a welcome letter or any Amex amenities (which we should have). Room was clean and updated but small, especially the bathroom (we didn’t receive an Amex upgrade). Our room was over $1300 for the night and the small window looked was internal had we had a view of the lobby. We had to listen to our neighbors television blasting most of the night. Leonora’s for dinner was AWFUL but Argentinian staff is AMAZING (especially Sofia and Delfina at breakfast).

Such a nice hotel for any occasion! This one was a mid week stay-away, but the Sebastian is spectacular on any and every day! `The lobby bar is just what I needed after a short mid morning of barely working hahahah. The rooms are absolutly fine and wouldn't feel 'dated' if every other hotel in town didn't reno every year. Check in is a breeze, valet/bell and front desk are all friendly and welcoming, rooms are spotless and everything works as it should. It's easy to forget how spoiled we are in Vail but ho when I travel out I can tell!

The most beautiful, stunning and comfortable hotel situated in the heart of vail. It was beautiful at Christmas with the decorations up and it snowing outside. We loved using the outdoor spa facilities. Food and service was great too. Will definitely go again

The Gambit is so much more than a hotel bar. We found ourselves wanting to return to this hidden gem in Vail 3 nights in a row. First it was for the cozy ambience. Then it was for the excellent food. Then we returned with friends because of the great service. Highly recommend the french dip sandwich and (Koch Brothers) burger. Divine! (And I'm a spinach salad with chicken kind of person!) Sean was the best server! Only feedback is the music. So important to the vibe. It kept changing from jazz to EDM to Latin and a mix in between. Rather than trying to appeal to all people, I think The Gambit needs to own it's own personality and find a consistent background music that matches it's vibe. I personally think high-class jazzy EDM as background music would fit the vibe and make everyone feel comfortable. Falling Off by Shingo Nakamura or Jump Into (feat. Maxine Marcus) by Slaptop on Pandora with some tweaking should do it!

We recommend staying here for a few reasons, the hotel was lovely overall, staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly, especially at the base camp location where you store your skis and boards right at the main gondola area. Hotel restaurant was pricy but amazing food, we’d definitely come back. We had a water shut off happen that went much longer than we were originally informed and this made our last day challenging, this would be the only reason we would not give this a 5star rating.

The staff is so friendly and willing to accommodate whatever you need. I lost an item at a conference and not only did they find it for me, they called to make sure I got it right before I headed out of town and had it waiting at valet. Everyone here exceeded my expectations for customer service.
