Tremendous property, service and location. The staff at every turn were kind, helpful and courteous. The location is ideal and the value was excellent. The food service was also excellent and the food was excellent. 5 stars across the board!
I stayed at the Lodge with my wife for a weekend away from the kids. We were pleased with the entire experience. Great room, friendly staff, great location in Vail Village. My wife enjoyed her massage at the spa to kick off the weekend and we both enjoyed a round of golf at Red Sky. The weekend was topped off by live music and brunch at Cucina. We will be back.
My wife and I have stayed at The Lodge at Vail many times, both winter and summer. For both seasons, it has the absolute best location, second to none. Newer, top shelf hotels, utilize SUVs and vans to take you to and from their locations to the restaurants, shops, and ski slopes. At The Lodge, all of those attractions are right outside your door. The staff are very attentive and friendly. The GM of the property, Brandt Marott, has taken The Lodge to a whole new level of service. My wife and I have also enjoyed this hotel with our family, and everyone agrees that The Lodge is a very special place!
My 14 year old daughter and I made a last minute decision to escape the Texas heat and enjoy the cooler weather in Vail. The Lodge - can’t say enough great things. From the minute we pulled in, the valet guys would always open the door for my daughter (she loved it and thought they were “cute”), to the staff at the front desk, the housekeepers were all AMAZING! The only “negative” was that we reserved a room with (2) Queen beds and ended up with (1) King. Fortunately, we did get a roll away and my kiddo didn’t complain. We’ll definitely be back.
My husband and I stayed here and the service was fantastic! I want to shout out Seth, Even, Brandon, and Hunter for all their hard work and outstanding customer service. These staff members helped us feel right at home and we can’t wait to come back!
We have stayed at this lodge a few times, and we have enjoyed the helpfulness of the staff and its desirable location in Vail. The workout facilities and pool areas are nice, clean and promote the laidback Colorado lifestyle we are always hopeful for experiencing during our visits. The rooms vary in size and views, and are nicely appointed. We slept well as our rooms were quite the and the beds were very comfortable. We also had a lovely deck that we sat out on every morning and evening.
We recently attended a wedding in Vail and most guests stayed at The Lodge. The staff there especially Giles could not have been more helpful or professional. From the moment you walk in the door everyone there was very friendly and helpful. We had a problem with our room and Giles went out of his way to make our stay much more enjoyable by upgrading our room. Staff truly is top notch. Everyone in their restaurant Cucina could not have been nicer and more accommodating as well. I would highly recommend this hotel and the location couldn't be better.
The good: great location and reasonably priced. We had a double queen. The room was clean and spacious and just as advertised. Check-in was easy and friendly, as was the valet. The bad: we had a phenomenal breakfast at Cucina, years ago, and that was a factor in why we chose this hotel. This time, our experience was just the opposite. The menu was considerably limited versus what appears online and they attributed it to supply chain issues. Service was very slow. Wife ordered basic scrambled eggs with bacon and toast (not on the menu but obviously an option since the ingredients appeared in other items.) Her plate arrived with scrambled eggs and garnish. After an additional request, the bacon eventually arrived after she was halfway through her eggs. She never got her toast. The ugly: the only bathrooms for the restaurant is downstairs. The men’s room was gross enough that I went back upstairs and used the restroom in my hotel room. While there, my daughter came into the room for the same reason - the women’s restroom downstairs was disgusting, too.…
I wanted to reach out to you to share my experience at The Lodge At Vail. I am travel consultant and I stay at the lodge often along with always sending my clients to the Hotel doing the ski and summer seasons. I set up 3 reservations for our group for our April 1st long weekend. I spoke to Giles on my first occasion and explained to him that I was coming for a Celebration of Life Event. I shared this with Giles and he made every effort possible to be sure our group was welcomed and offered to send up some kind amenities for the guests. I also was able to come to the hotel the day before and view some 2 bedroom units, choosing a unit that would best suit one of the guests. Although it wasn't guaranteed, he made every effort to secure the unit and it was exactly as hoped for! This hotel is iconic! There may be newer and more upscale hotels in Vail, But NOTHING beats the Lodge's location and continued hospitality. You are a short walk to everything; when you put everything together, pros and cons; nothing beats it! Outdoor fireplace, s'mores, music and drinks are so warming at the end of the day! Giles and Daniel (Front Desk Managers) along with Kevin made every effort to make our stay most enjoyable. They were all so kind to offer us breakfast one day and really made that special day on the mountain memorable from the start. They were all so attentive, gracious, respectful and most accommodating to our group. They gave great tips for the mountain, ski rental info, restaurant info, and made sure we had hand warmers on the day it snowed! They are a great team, complimenting each other! Looking forward to my next visit! Lynn…
For the most part, we had a great experience at The Lodge at Vail. I will get more detailed below: SERVICE A big shout out to the Valet service! They went over the top to help us with our luggage, bringing it to our room and taking our vehicle. The front desk was wonderful and provided us with snacks and water which we really appreciated. There were also drinks and snacks in our room free of charge. They also held our luggage on the last day so that we could ski and then pick them up (granted the weather was very warm and we quit quite early). We absolutely LOVED that there was a boot room for our ski boots and a drop off location for our skis by the slopes. That makes a HUGE difference when hauling around boots and skis. This is the reason we stayed here and it worked out great. ROOM At $739 a night (plus taxes and fees), we could only afford a Deluxe Two Bedroom. It was basically a standard hotel room with two queens. The bathroom sink is in the bathroom, so it was impossible to get ready while someone else showered. Our room was very clean and we had plenty of room to store our clothes. There was no air conditioning and it was HOT in our room. This was the worst part of our stay because we did not sleep the entire time we were there. We had to sleep with the balcony door cracked open and because our room faced the entry, we had to listen to people pulling up, closing their doors, laughing loudly, etc. We were up ALL NIGHT every night and it was horrible. There was also outdoor music playing in the entry that went right into the room. The front desk was nice and had them turn it down after the first night. BREAKFAST Their on site restaurant had a wonderful breakfast. Service was amazing too. I know Vail is expensive (hence the price). If we would have had a better sleeping experience (just let us turn on the air conditioner), this review would have been higher. It is tough skiing all day and then being up all night. Like I said, service is amazing so it made up for some of it.…
