With the Lodge at Vail, keep in mind that this is a European style hotel. Ceilings are low, hallways are narrow, bathrooms are small. But it's comfortable and the staff is helpful and friendly, We were there in the summer, and they have a nice...More
This unit, #407, was terrible. Way overpriced. It was very outdated. I will list just a few of the issues here. When we arrived there was a nasty smell coming from the sink that wouldn't go away. The stove and oven were from the 1960s...More
Stayed here for three nights in a conference. Room is ok, but nothing special. Service was fine. Had a problem with room and service recovery was only mediocre. Beware that the room air conditioners are very loud. Makes it relatively unpleasant to sit on your...More

Ask for a Platinum room. The LQA (Lodging Quality Assurance) program rates all the units. Platinum is the highest and most updated/remodeled. Call the front desk now and ask for a platinum rated unit. I am not sure if they charge additional. Gold is the next lower level and is very nice as well. Silver & Bronze are the most outdated in the rental program. They shouldn't be charging more for the LQA rate. Hope this helps. The LQA is run through the local chamber, VVP.
Cheers & enjoy!

I'm not familiar with the Four Seasons, I can only tell you that you walk out the door of the Lodge and you are on the main shopping mall. It's very conveniently located and the staff was very good to us. The room was nicely appointed too, with a beautiful bathroom.
