Detailed Reviews
We were a group of 8 and we stayed in Unit 321. It was very well appointed and the kitchen had more than everything we needed. Bedding was very comfortable and the bathrooms were a good size. We could see the fireworks on NYE right out the balcony door. We could have used a bit more seating in the living room for all of us, but we made it work. The staff at the front office was awesome as was housekeeping. The boys used the hot tub every day and the sauna. The location is just steps away from the in town bus - which runs all the time - so it's very easy to get everywhere. Short walk to Gondola. Short walk to shops and restaurants as well. Highly recommend our unit.

We've been there twice this season, mostly because of the friendly and exceptional customer service. Everyone that works there has been attentive to our needs and treated us with respect. The 3 bedroom units we've experienced are spacious and well kept. We also enjoyed the hot tub, fitness center and locker room, not the largest but very clean. On the first day my eye contact was drying up and I didn't have any saline solution, so the front desk agent Cassandra gave me one of her disposable lenses to use the saline, so NICE. The manager Jessica, booking agent Cynthia, night service Brittney, and transportation/restaurant booking Victoria were all outstanding, polite and very accommodating. Safe, great place to stay.

The building is nice. It has covered parking (which is good in the winter), it has a bus stop right in front, the location is good but you are more than walking distance from most restaurants you want to visit. It has a gym, indoor and outdoor pools and jacuzzis, and a fire pit. The apartments are spacious and have all the items you need to stay in and cook a meal. The only thing is that they are privately owned so the decor is a hit and miss in the building. Each unit is different. Overall this is a great option for families.

+1
I love this place, Unit 105 is the best condo!!! 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 5. Great location close to Lionshead (Eagle Bahn Gondola 19). There is a town bus stop just in front of the place. Has an indoor and outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Also a sauna and a gym. The condos have different levels so you can decide how much to spend and how fancy you want the place. Management is amazing and super helpful!

We stayed at Vail Spa 3/8-3/14. Accomodations were extremely nice and the staff at the hotel were very helpful. The outdoor hottub was nice if you go before 4pm....after that, its packed with skiers.
I would definately stay here again. Its not elegant, but a above average stay for a reasonable price in Vail with a short walk to the slopes.

This is a good building at Lionshead although quite old. The condos that i saw had been modernised really well and we had absolutely no complaints about the condo itself - it was fantastic. The pool and spa facilities were terrific, both inside and out. The ski room is pretty average, only room for skis, no boot drying or lockers.
The only two real problems with this building are this:
The building backs onto the I70 (freeway) - this has become a common problem for Vail - be careful when booking you dont end up sleeping on the freeway as we did.
The second issue is the location to the lift - it is a bit of a walk because of the fact that the village square is surrounded by buildings and you cant access it from these condos easily. You have to go around the road which takes some time - and can be hard when carrying skis.
So, make sure your condo (including bedrooms) doesnt face the freeway and always factor in the cost of a ski valet at the bottom of the hill so you dont have to carry skis and boots home each day - its a trek!

Traveled for a week to ski with two other families who had teens. We all had our own condos. The place is just about a block away from the slopes. It was an easy walk for all of us and we saved about 50% off what our friends who were right in Lionshead. VERY worth the extra walk!
Since the units are individually owned each condo was a bit different. We tried to get condos away from the highway side to avoid noise. It turns out that most of them face some sort of street noise. Our unit, 203, (a 2bed unit) was just fine once we turned on the humidifier and kept the windows closed. Our friends in 302 (a 3bed unit) didn't feel that they could cover up their noise. Our beds weren't the most comfortable but we were able to sleep just fine in the long run.
The front desk folks were very helpful whenever we needed them. They went out of their way to show us other units that might be less noisy but in the end we stayed where we were.
The Vail Village bus stops right across the street which was so useful when going out to dinner or to shop in the Village.
The free wi-fi, free beverages and free computer in the lobby with a printer were all very nice to have during our stay. Everyone also really enjoyed the indoor and outdoor jacuzzis and pools.
Great deal!

We had the pleasure to stay for 7 nights at Vail Spa. For a family of 7, the location cannot be beaten. The front door of Vail Spa is literally 75 feet from the Vail "In Town" bus. This bus line will take you into Lion's Head and Vail and when the kids get tired at the end of a long day playing and eating in Vail, you will love the quick drop off.
Our family looks for accommodations that allow us opportunities for variety. Vail Spa has an outdoor pool and an indoor pool. There is a tennis court on the property which is well maintained. Within 3 blocks you can rent bicycles and within 8 blocks there is a large park with an extensive play area, a basketball court and a large soccer/frisbee etc field.
Vail Spa itself is well appointed with clean, well decorated rooms. The rooms that we have stayed in over the last few years have full kitchens, multiple televisions and plenty of space to relax.
All in all, a great getaway in Vail Colorado.

We stayed at Vail Spa in February of 2010 with a group of 25 from Florida. Overall it was a pleasant experience. Like others have said every unit is individually owned so you don't know exactly what you're going to get. Our unit, east 308 was very nice. It's a 3/3 with 1800 square feet and a beautiful view of the mountain, granite counter tops and beautiful wood cabinets. Some of the 2/2 units weren't as newly updated, with linoleum counter tops and some funky decorating schemes. If you stay here make sure you ask for units without road noise from I-70. The lower floors are quieter.
The walk to the gondola is a bit of a trek especially carrying skis etc. We found the fastest way to the Two Elk Lodge and Back Bowls on top of the mountain is to catch the free Vail Village shuttle and stay on it till the Golden Peak stop after the Main Vail Village stop, then get on the Riva Bahn Express Lift. From there you can either get off half way and get on the Highline Express lift or stay on and take the Northwoods Express. Get on the Sourdough Lift to get to Two Elk Lodge. From condo to top of the mountain is 45 minutes.
