Stayed President's Week. The bottom line, we were very happy with entire experience at the Grand Hyatt Residences at Cascade Village, and Vail in general. We stayed in a Liftside Unit (A72), 4 adults, 2 teens, a toddler and infant. Plenty of room. TRUE Ski In / Ski Out condo, steps, yes steps, from the Cascade Lift and no lift lines. Skiing back was easy and got us right to the back entrance of the building. Very clean, well furnished. This unit was modern, renovated and had all the amenities. Underground garage fit a GMC Yukon XL with no problem. Checked In / Out w/ 0 issues at the Grand Hyatt Desk. We used Trip Hero to ship our gear, it was an easy process and the Hyatt retrieved our gear quickly from storage when we arrived, and took it from us when we left. Great ski room with large wooden lockers that fit a family's worth of equipment, boot drying racks / with tons of space, coffee maker and fireplace, which topped it off. The Sales Associate we worked with was extremely helpful & competent during the entire sales phase, including ALWAYS retuning calls over the course of the year while we planned, including giving us some great local restaurant recommendations, months out, which certainly helped with reservations during a holiday week. Shuttle worked fine, came about every 15 minutes, so we did have to allow for extra time when using, easy option for Lionshead and Vail Village. Hyatt had solid Apres Ski with guitar player at bar, low key. Overall, really no negatives. We would return and stay at this condominium again.…
We rented a unit through the Hyatt. It was 3 bedroom unit in the Coldstream Building. It’s about a 5-7 minute walk from the Grand Hyatt pool. You walk on a sidewalk and along the creek to access all the amenities of the hotel. Our unit had adult bikes and we rented bikes for the kids from the hotel. It’s about 1.5 miles to Lionshead village and when you bike there it’s a lot of uphill riding. However, the way back is a nice downhill cruise. We loved playing in the creek outside the hotel and there are many access points. House keeping was great. They restocked our towels and cleaned the unit on day 3 (as stated when we booked). We had a wonderful stay! We also loved having a washer/dryer in the garage!
We are a family that like to ski and we travel each winter one or two times in a Ski Resort. Usually we go to France, it was our first time in the US for skiing. We stayed in the unit COLDTREAM 41 and it was a total blast. The service is great, provided by the grand hyatt vail. Shuttle service, room service, ski shop, concierge all there is extremely efficient and it delivers. This is the only Ski in - Ski out resort in Vail and it is a true value. The service provided by the ski shop is outstanding, well organized. The unit, coldstream 41 is just top notch and perfect, we stayed 7 nights and regret it already, would definitively come back, the place is highly recomendable!
Covid19 has made all worse for all of us, given. So, since our flights kept on changing all the time, we decided 2 cancel Playa Del C ( good !, since Gamma was hammering Mexico this weekend) and since it were both my daughter and me's bdays, we booked a last minute getaway to Vail, first timers in a non-skiing season yet. So glad we did !! ( we also took a driving day to Aspen, -didnt like it-, but the return to Vail using Independence Pass/ Hwy 82 is one of those "must" you have to do ! So, back to the residence: amazing property ! Is exactly like having an European experience. You should know that the check-in is to be done at the next door Grand Hyatt Hotel, beautiful building with and amazing patio/pool/bar/river that worth every penny. Since the Hotel manages the Residences, you are entitled to use its facilities. We were assigned a second floor condo/loft with a deep cabin flavor on it, Bldg 2, Apt D @ Millrace compound for be exact ! what an amazing choice: every single detail ?working properly, the shades, the TVs., heating system, hot water, tons of towels, a BBQ gas grill, coffee maker, private garage with door opener, so many etcs. To the owners of the condo and the Hotel administrators , thx for a work well done. Now, for the newcomers: Vail Village is way better than Lionhead ( that sector: so early and everything was dead down, sad )... back to the main blvd in Vail Village, yes, is nice, but a couple of blocks down south is way much better, full of restaurants live music and stuff, check your I-pad for it. El Segundo Restaurant was a nice choice. And do yourself a favor: book a table at La Nonna ! ( amazing ! ) and head for near Avon and have an incredible b/fast at NorthSide Kitchen !…
We had a 3 bed 4 bath condo on the ground floor. Absolutely gorgeous. Fully stocked with every gadget in the kitchen. Hotel soap and shampoo which we did not expect to have. Included daily cleaning. Gas fireplace, great soaking tub, on and on. Unfortunately our trip got cut short due to resort closure for corona virus. Hilton promptly gave us a refund for remaining nights.
This 2-bedroom condo is beautiful and is in a great location - close to the Millrace hot tub and sauna and very convenient to the Cascade lift and ski shop. I highly recommend this condo for families.
We’ve stayed at this wonderful property for many years and it never disappoints. The management team is fabulous, the staff is responsive, and the housekeeping is beyond belief. Call their manager, Stasi, and she will find the perfect condo/home for your stay...and your experience will be UNFORGETTABLE.
We stayed with our friends and their two teen boys in a three bedroom condo on the fourth floor during the post Christmas holiday break. The condo (C41) was spacious, comfortable, and well appointed (furniture wise, bath towels/bedding and kitchen). There was a breakfast bar and a dining table, we ate in some nights and played games at the 6 person table. It was so homey! Chris, the manager, and the housekeeping staff were responsive and friendly. Loved the game room, pool and hot tub. There’s a ski locker room with a boot warmer, a water and hot coffee/cocoa station. Just down the hall and down the stairs is the Chair lift 20. We would ride up, no wait! Then, ski down the Cascade Way trail for a break or lunch. Best ski trip ever!
Penthouse was clean, conveniently located, beautifully furnished, well stocked. Beautiful views. Hotel has a great pool, hot tub - possibly 24/7. Staff is super friendly. Trail and lift right at the place. Parks and all the attractions within walking / biking distance.
Staying at the Vail Residences was so nice. We had our own two bedroom condo, with the amenities of a resort. We were able to use the hotel shuttle into town and rent bikes on property. Truly a wonderful weekend.
