The hotel is located in a beautiful setting with a stream next to the hotel ideal for walks. The food was excellent both at the restaurant and during meetings. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well as responsive.
I would not stay anywhere else in Vail. Grand Hyatt has it's own chair lift to start your day and a wonderfully accommodating ski valet & shop where you can get your boots on and leave your equipment. Every staff member seems to really enjoy working there and are incredibly friendly and helpful. Rooms are large and very comfortable. Food onsite is great, especially the sushi bar which is a MUST TRY. Seriously, Nobu level sushi at reasonable prices. Afternoon live music in the lounge. Great breakfast and dinners in the dining room. Easy shuttle into the village but you really don't need to leave the hotel at all if you don't feel like it.
I was staying at the Grand Hyatt on business and the fact that I was able to bring my dog with me on this trip was amazing. The entire staff was so friendly and welcoming to my dog Ty. They greeted him with treats and then sent up some more treats and toys. I absolutely had the best time and loved staying on the creek. Highly recommend staying here.
I've been staying at the Grand Hyatt location for over 30 years under a number of different hotel chain ownerships. The Hyatt group has elevated the property to a much higher level. Staff was great, the amenities are excellent and the food was outstanding.
True Hyatt experience slope side. Ski valet, your own chair lift, and multiple hot tubs make this a desirable vacation destination. Dog-friendly suites with ground-level patios added to our enjoyment.
This hotel was absolutely AMAZING! I stayed years ago when it was Hotel Talisa, and as the Cascade....you make it feel like a completely new property. The staff is welcoming and helpful, the rooms are amazing and the pop up sushi restaurant was an unexpected highlight of our stay. I would come again for the staff alone, and the champagne vending machine was icing on the cake! I can't wait to experience this property in the summer!
When I went to adjust the window shade to see an amazing view of the Vail mountains, I received a severe electric shock. In closet examination, the electric window shade was broken and the wires were exposed hanging down in front of it. Over the course of three full days hotel was unable to fix issue despite numerous attempts to request maintenance. Requesting maintenance required going to the front desk since our phone also didn’t work. The manager offered to send us a bottle of wine for our troubles and sent a $12 bottle. As an Explorist member who stays in Hyatts up to 80 times a year, the lack of service and then sending a $12 bottle of wine for a room that averages over $500 a night but now had an unusable view was a total joke. They never did fix our blinds so we missed out on the view our entire stay. Total miss by the Hyatt team. …
Location is spectacular and very convenient to the slopes, but rooms definitely show their age. Nice amenities and friendly, professional staff. Was a bit disappointed overall - I expected more at this price point.
I've been a few places in Vail -- this was the best so far -- it was pricey (but what isn't out there?) Room was spotless, spa was worth checking out -- sauna clean, nice view from the heated pool & hot tub. Market/cafe was convenient, restaurant made a great breakfast. A+, will come back.
Room: stains on wall and sofa, bathroom not fully clean, broken sink plug and toilet flush, extra charge for sauna and steam room, bathrobes and towels stained and frayed, no slippers. Sheets crumpled not ironed. Area around hot tub dirty. Understaffed? Think covid has impacted this hotel in a big way.
