When you go to a 5 star hotel to a 10 star ski resort you expect everything that goes along with a ski vacation. The pool and hot tub wasn't working & it had been that way for over a month I was told. The Apre' Ski is better at a local tavern. If your going to Vail Colorado to get the full experience of ski in/ ski out vacation along with the amenities of hot, pool & Apre' Ski, this is NOT the place.
Everything was perfect. Bedding, room, staff. I could not have been happier and more satisfied . Everything worked in the room, and it was nicely decorated. Hot tubs and heated pool was nice along with the fire pit. Fireside Lounge was my favorite.
This is relatively new first class resort at west side of Vail… It has an almost private chair to the mountain which is NEVER crowded… there is no ski in ( which is probably why it’s not crowded) . There is daily live music in the lobby … If you want to return exactly here you’ll need to ride the chair down… It’s relatively easy to get to the astonishing back bowls from here. Exotic wildlife abounds (at a safe distance)… The food was wonderful… The staff beyond attentive… I hadn’t been on back bowls since 1979 and blew out my knees this time in excited exuberant aged excess… But this whole experience is bucket list worthy … Don’t miss it if you have the chance…
For a hotel at a destination spot, it was nothing special. I have stayed in better hotels in Spokane, WA with more character. Service at the Fireside bar was terrible. Bartender was more interested in playing with his POS machine than serving the many customers at the bar. At one point, I had to walk around the bar and talk to him to order more food and drinks. He seemed annoyed. Hyatt sent a survey after my stay and shared my thoughts. Got an email back that basically said, "Gee we sucked for you, hope you enjoyed our lip service in this email." Usually, Grand Hyatt want people to come back. Guess not this one. Don't recommend, look elsewhere for your stay in Vail.
This hotel is the definition of comfort and luxury in the Vail area. The rooms are extremely comfortable, and us looked at the mountains and river. Starting the morning with their complementary Nespresso while looking at the snow falling through the window was one of the best experiences. The ski lift and rental is right within the hotel area, so I could not describe a more convenient scenario if you come for a ski trip. They made their lobby a very cozy place where everyone hangs out after skying, to drink or eat delicious food, which was a lovely experience. Overall this hotel earned its five starts well earned!
We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Hyatt Vail. The location can't be beat if you are there to enjoy skiing or snowboarding. We used the on-sight rental/ski valet and it was so convenient. The hotel is clean, staff are friendly, and food was delicious. Beds were comfortable too! This was our first experience at a ski in/out location and I think we are sold and will be back!
Great location and great asset. Enjoyed the ski-in ski-out location and the terrific gym. It was particularly nice to have a ski rental facility in the building. It was pricey but worth it. I recomend.
Great option to enjoy all that Vail has to offer, with easy access to Lionhead and Vail Village, and direct access to the the mountain via the Cascade lift, right at the hotel. An easy place to stay for any reason that brings you to Vail.
Totally exceeded our families expectations. Great people, great property! The Apres Ski vibe every afternoon/evening in the main lobby with live music, cocktails and hors de vours is fantastic!! Great for the whole family.
Best place to stay in vail for skiing with a chair left right on the property to take you up and down the mountain. Great food at all locations onsite and a fun axe throwing bar on the property. Great trip thanks to the hotel.
