Best hotel in Vail for overall quality and experience. New hotel. High quality furnishings - great ski-in and ski-out location. Affiliation with Hyatt is a big plus if you are a member of The World of Hyatt. Hyatt treats its loyal customers well.
Grand Hyatt Vail exceeded all of our expectations!! Looking forward to our next ski trip! Even with limited COVID restrictions - the spa was most excellent! All the staff was friendly and very accommodating.
My first stay ever with a Grand Hyatt will be one of very few. For the price the physical hotel, amenities, and staff are on par, but for the experience it’s below average. The food was inexcusable along with the inconsistency of bed and bathroom linens. Point is, next time im in vail I will be staying elsewhere.
Second time staying at this Grand Hyatt -- seems like they were in-line with all of the covid protocols. Last time I visited, it was a bit earlier on in the season and the cascade lift was not open just yet. It made a huge difference this time, as you did not have to worry about shuttling back and forth between Vail Village or Lionshead. Staff was just as great as they were before. Enjoyed the fact that they offered activities each night we were there, even though we didn't usually take part as we were burnt out from skiing each day, but it was great to see they were helping support local business and the effort really showed. Only complaint is that their wifi was in and out during the visit. Likely wouldn't have bothered me, but my cell phone service was also limited as you're in the mountains. Lastly, I'm a morning person and need my coffee fix. 7am to open the market isn't unreasonable, but I think you'd make a killing for people looking to eat and get their coffees a bit earlier in the morning, although there are keurigs provided in each room. Ski Valet was a breeze each morning -- it was great to see them calling out people who were not wearing their masks properly or not wearing masks at all -- same with the hotel staff and shuttle drivers. Made things safer. Couldn't have asked for a much better stay. Will likely return a couple times every ski season.…
Grand Hyatt Vail is a great location for ski-in-ski-out. Right next to chair 20, with a great ski rental valet facility attached to the hotel. The staff are friendly and efficient. It's not as busy as Vail Village or Lionshead, and they run a shuttle to Vail all the time.
