Stayed one night during a road trip in Colorado with my son and his girlfriend. The two rooms we had were nicely appointed and perfectly adequate if a little on the small side. Constance was a delightful hostess and presented a great continental breakfast with superb home made cinnamon buns, and fruit, which we ate on the porch with spectacular... More

We stayed two nights in Room #3 - a back side larger room with two queen beds and a futon bed. What a comfortable, idyllic location for relaxing and soaking in lakes, creeks, and a valley ringed by the continent's most beautiful mountains. The inn has a welcoming atmosphere, including a pleasant porch and a lobby with a self-serve collection... More

The lodge consists of a number of scattered rooms in sundry buildings, all of which have been nicely restored by the talented owners. It is a very charming place. A continental breakfast is provided and fresh delicious cinnamon buns were available [ one per guest] on one of the three days spent there. The lodge is close to the lake... More

Adorable and cosy. The Hiker's room is too small for 2 people, so get a larger one if you can. The flowers around the porch and grounds are spectacular - a lot of attention to detail. Nice fruit laid out in the morning for breakfast. Very peaceful spot - we loved going across the street to sit on the precipice... More

Just got back from 3 days here.Hesitate telling you how nice it is, LOL! It was a real treat. Steve and Constance are very sweet and run a cute lodge with a few cabins as well. Room #3 was very clean, two sinks, large shower, table and chairs, futon, TV, books for readers, nice comfy beds and nice towels. Continental... More

This was my third time in Twin Lakes and staying at The Roadhouse is always such a pleasure. Steve and Constance are very gracious hosts and work very hard to make their guests feel comfortable. My boyfriend and I go to Twin Lakes to hike and after a long day on the trails, it is great to come back to... More

The Twin Lakes Roadhouse Lodge is a small, privately-run hotel in Twin Lakes, Colorado -- a small resort community right next to Mount Elbert (the highest mountain in Colorado), more or less halfway between the towns of Leadville and Buena Vista. It's a beautiful little place, with each room having it's own character. The room I had was compact but... More

My husband and I are artists, we stayed for two nights in the Swedish Studio. It had everything we wanted. Bring your own food. Twin Lakes is a charmingly tiny historic town and there are not a lot of dining options. After a day of hiking and painting in the stunning surrounding landscape we spent a relaxed evening cooking and... More

My husband and I recently staid there for 3 nights in the "Swede Cabin." Very comfortable with great views. After a long day hike to Mt.Elbert was a great place to come back to relax and enjoy the views in a peaceful setting. Not much happening in Twin Lakes but that was fine for us. We did bring some extra... More
