We stopped in Trinidad after a 12plus hour drive and were really pleased with our accomodations. The owner greeted us warmly and we felt right " at home". The bed was comfortable, the shower relaxing. The décor is basic ( retro!) and the room was clean. ALSO, the location is GREAT! - only two blocks from a great local restaurant and...

I was staying in Trinidad for two nights on the way back home from a vacation and really wanted a small, simple motel room near the historic downtown. I passed Trail's End and thought it looked like the kind of place I would want to stay at while on a road trip. Overall, I really liked the place. The rooms...

The Trails End is good enough for a sleep. It's a really cute place with super friendly owner. Our room smelled a little odd. The sheets and bed spreads were clean but flimsy with holes in them. The bathroom was nicely redone. There was a fridge but it barely chilled. I would have appreciated coffee and ice. I think younger...

I was looking forward to staying in an old fashioned motel like I used to stay in as a child. This did not meet my expectations. The owner was very friendly and helpful, even to the point of giving us a larger room than booked. He also recommended an Italian restaurant with singing waitresses that we thoroughly enjoyed. The room...

This is a decent little motel, that seems to be genuinely interested in providing a nice stay and friendly staff. For about $50/night, you get a simple room that has had some renovations recently, most notably new wood trim and tile work. The motel is just a couple blocks from downtown Trinidad, within easy walking distance. For clarity, the format...

I made a reservation for two days in the future, paid in full. I told them several times we would arrive late , like after midnight. They assured me it would be ok...there would be someone there to let us in. We arrived shortly after midnight...the office was closed up tight. I rang the buzzer for help, and called several...

The best little motel I've been lucky enough to stumble upon. Jim, René, Donna and Butch really took me right in and made me feel better than home. Very clean, recent remodel. Plenty of hot water and good attitude. Dog and 420 friendly. Happy trails.

I noticed this motel has received mixed reviews but for not being a chain and given the nature of the town, I was content. The room had an updated bathroom with lots of wood and tile. I felt like everything was quite clean but my favorite part about the motel is its location as there are several resteraunts within walking...

Stayed here on our Big 2014 Road Trip. Saw the big neon sign at twilight on old US 160 and thought we'd give it a try. The rooms have bulky rough-hewn wood furniture, but are comfortable. Close to downtown, but fast food is a longer drive. The owners were very helpful, and provided extra service with a smile.

After reading reviews on trip advisor I had higher expectations. I did not feel comfortable. Furniture , bed spread very worn down, but room clean. There is a frig. And hotel walking distance to a few restaurants. In future maybe will be fixed up but for now Not a place I would choose again.
