We had a lovely stay at the D'Varee, the hotel is lovely and clean, the rooms and spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The air con is spot on, ice cold! It has two lovely pools and a good fitness centre. The breakfast had a good variety and was delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Its situated right on the beautiful beach of Jontiem, close walking distance to lots of lovely shops and restaurants and massage parlours. I would definitely stay there again.

Unclean room, filthy aircon unit, which was so loud it sounded like s gale was blowing outside the window. Uncomfortable bed, only 1 pillow each, bits on the room. Only 1 set of washing sosps/shampoo in a couple's room. The superior city view was not a superior view and if it were, I dread to think what a basic view was. Paint in the room in a bad state of repair, floor laminate with gaps everywhere, generally Uncomfortable snd unclean. The bell boys were very polite though.

Undoubtedly this hotel has seen much better days but it is still a nice impressive building with beautiful views from the upper floors. Mind you the building is not oceanfront, there is a pool and lots of other stores and some cheap restaurants in front of it through which you got to make your way just to never find the lobby which is on the opposite side.You can see by the maintenance of the whole establishment that this hotel is in dire need of renovation but as everywhere else in this nonchalant country nobody cares. I liked the big rooms and the friendly but complicated to talk to reception staff. How is it possible that your staff has no English or any other language skills whatsoever in a hotel aimed 95% at international tourism? Well…enjoy your holidays.The beach outside is much nicer than these overcrowded ones in Pattaya City. Still they are pretty dirty and no one cares about removing the garbage.…

We were in the area for work and stayed at the hotel. The hotel is a little tired and the rooms could do with updating. The bed was comfortable. The rooftop bar is very nice and the Infinity pool view is very good.

The hotel was a gem right on the beach. Now the beach was not used much by us, as there was rubbish scattered around and boats, jet skis and cars with free exhausts ruined all the idyll. But from the 30th floor the noise was muffled. The rooms were great! The service from the staff was fantastic and the food was delicious! The pools were clean and the "Baht buses" run right outside the hotel.

Great location right across from the beach area. Check-in was extremely frustrating and unhelpful as check-in staff were indifferent, command of English was minimal Room very tired and needs an extreme makeover, Absence of essential furniture like night table and lamps, no luggage area, no desk area under TV which shown in pictures, no cutlery or dishes in kitchenette. Pool(s) area nice and spacious with lots of loungers. Breakfast area large and spacious almost like an auditorium but music was loud and repetitive. Selection of food was varied, appealing and plentiful. Security could be improved, any person can access any floor without keycard, anyone could walk in off street and use lower pool are or for that matter even main pool. You can enter dining area by coming in side entrance from outside, bypassing the hotel staff who check guests for breakfast access at other end of hallway. POSITIVE: The General Manager Khun Banana was a definite plus to this hotel. He was proactive to constructive comments, took an absolute interest in the well being of guests and it was obvious that he took pride in customer relations. His approach to improvements is refreshing and bodes well for the hotel. With positive investment in customer service/relations and renovations this grand old dame hotel can once again shine brightly in Jomtien …

This hotel is better than Dusit Thani Krabi that cost 3 times more per night as a club room that I paid( PS I am a Dusit Gold Membership since 2014 ) D Varee hotel started from customers service to house keeping were Excellent 😊 Manager was up to his standard 👍 must be GM who’s training them well 🤔 breakfast were excellent choice and very testy and full at all time since 6:00-10:00am. Unlikely Dusit Thani Krabi club room that serves almost every day with Indian foods ( I got foods poisoning 3 nights in the roll ) overall 5 *star hotel mean nothing if you had bad customers service staff and poor GM who’s there at the time I stayed but never came by just to said hello because I’m looking Asian ( discrimination ) D Varee Keep Up The Good Work👍👍

Wonderful beach side hotel. Very friendly and happy staff. Yes, it’s not brand-spanking new but rooms are being updated. We had a great room on the 22nd floor with a balcony overlooking the sea. Amazing rooftop bar with 2 for 1 cocktails between 5.30 and 7.30. Breakfast is buffet style to cater for everyone. It’s not often you have the option of curry for breakfast! If I could ask anything of the hotel, I would say that the water for the shower could be a bit hotter and more sun beds round the pool would be good, the cleaning of the room could be earlier (3.30pm is a little late in my opinion). We really did have a fantastic stay and hope to come back soon. Thank you to all the staff!

As a last minute booking, we arrived at the hotel weary and hot so looked forward to some comfortable rest for a couple of nights. The hotel was comfortable - but by no means grand. Rooms and public areas were tired and in need of some reinvestment. The breakfast was limited and uninspiring and the happy hour cocktails were underwhelming. Many Russian and Eastern European tourists staying there and the staff struggled with languages. Would we stay again? Hmm Maybe…
