This is an older hotel that has been nicely updated. We had one of the older, smaller rooms, but the quality was very nice. The room had clearly been updated, nice carpet, fresh paint, luxury sheets, thick towels - it was clear that some thought and planning had been put into the amenities. The location was wonderful - we walked... More

We decided to make a last minute motorcycle trip to Steamboat over the weekend and wanted to stay in town so we could walk to restaurants after a long day on the bike. The Rabbit Ears Motel fit the bill to a "T" with a comfortable room and great price. An added bonus was the discount to the Old Town... More

This motel sits on the edge of downtown Streamboat and it's easy to walk to many restaurants and shops. It has been recently remodeled and the rooms are spacious and they provide a generous amount of towels. It is quiet at night. They have rooms that overlook the river. They also offer an adequate continental breakfast with your stay.

We've stayed here a couple of times and it has always been a pleasant stay. They have done some remodeling since our visit 3 years ago with all new bathrooms. Our room no longer had a bathtub but the easy step in, large shower was a big improvement. Our room also had a balcony that overlooked the river. Previously the... More

Stayed over 4th of July and you couldn't beat the location to walk to town. Also sitting in the parking lot was an ideal spot to watch the fireworks. Continental breakfast included, mostly empty carbs, we skipped. Room, first floor, one queen, was clean but smelled of cleaner. Bathroom was redone and nice. Air conditioner noisy. This is a caveat... More

This is a great place for people with various needs: singles, couples, families, pets, etc. It's an affordable choice for Steamboat with very acceptable motel accommodations: easily accessible from the highway (literally right on it), nice river views (you can walk right down and tube or swim if you like!), easy walking distance to old downtown shops/restaurants, and shares a... From the minute we called to get reservations, the service was great! Ramie made sure we got a great room for three and a dog. The beds were really comfortable and you even get a continental breakfast. Also the Yampa River, trails and bike paths are right beside the hotel. Really it's a great friendly place, not fancy but very... More

We stayed here for two nights during the very busy Mountain Magic baseball tournament weekend. I booked well ahead of time and didn't have any issues. This was one of the only places I could find that was dog friendly! Our first night was not awesome. The room we had was very small, stuffy, and had obviously had many people's... More

Hard to beat this place if you want to walk to/through Steamboat downtown. The room we had would fit four adults comfortably, two in the double or queen beds and two on daybeds. The bathroom had been recently redone nicely. This is our second year staying here, and we'll likely be back next year. Breakfast was fine, with standard offerings... More

We chose this motel due to location. Next to the river with walking trails, across the street from the Hot Springs Pool, and easy to walk downtown for shopping and dining. The kids loved the classic feel, so different than a chain hotel. Staff was friendly, the sell pool tickets at a discount.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Luxury night's sleep minus the luxury price. The Rabbit Ears Motel, located in beautiful Steamboat Springs, Colorado, is your choice for comfortable, affordable lodging right in the center of downtown. Either they built Steamboat around our motel, or our motel was conveniently built in the center of all the action. So, both ways, you know that all the activities and nightlife the valley provides are in close proximity. Choose a weekend get-away for the family, or stay with us the whole week. World-class skiing with slope-side ski-in, ski-out convenience is expensive and overrated. Our motel is right on the main street and just a 5 minutes' bus ride to the gondola and the base of the ski area. Oh, and the bus is free. Lastly, all our guests are welcome to get reduced-priced Old Town Hot Springs passes for our recreation center, just across the street. ... more   less
