This is a hard place to figure out. The only sense I can make of Strawberry Hot Springs is to assume that the owners hate you.
I mean, you can stay in a picturesque rustic cabin, but there isn't any place to store anything except...More
Stayed in a rustic cabin at the top of the hill from the springs. It was October, so the air was cool----The steam was evident from the hot springs.
The small cabin was quaint. You do have to utilize the public showers/washrooms-so keep that in...More
There are people reviewing the springs themselves here. This category is a review for the LODGING. There is another place to review the springs as an attraction.
I actually stayed here, so I am going to review the lodging. These people have zero customer service...More
This was (I thought) a very unusual place to visit. There are several pools and each has a different temperature. One was really, really warm. It's a little difficult to get down to it, but it's well worth it. I was achy and sore from...More

I don't think you'll find anyone who can give you a straight answer to this. The weather can be very unpredictable in the mountains (as you probably know, being from Fort Collins). I would say in November, hope for the best but prepare for the worst. If you have 4WD you'll be fine. I have a Subaru and don't own chains. November is right on the cusp- normally I'd say you'd be just fine, but this has been a very wet year and snow could start falling earlier than normal (typically Dec-March is heavier snow season). I'd say go for it if you have 4WD- it's totally worth it. I have also heard there is a shuttle from Steamboat to the springs, but don't know anything about it... Could call and ask.
