Don't be fooled by the name, this is not close to Steamboat Springs. This campground is better suited to campers with boats. There were no campfire or ranger programs offered. The marina was sparsely stocked with food or drinks to purchase. The dump station was overflowing by the end of the weekend. However, the showers were clean and the water... More

This campground is well maintained. We stayed in Wheeler Loop, site 117, in a 40 ft. 5th wheel. There was plenty of room for the trailer and truck. Having 50 amp power was a bonus! There are vault toilets throughout the campground, coin operated showers and a laundromat by the marina. There is also a dump station close the the... More

The campground is well taken care of. It has both vault toilets and bathrooms with running water. They are both cleaned regularly. The scenery is amazing. A couple near us were had driven down from Alaska and stated that this was one of the best places that they had been too! Has a little something for everybody, good hiking, abundance... More

My husband and I stayed in the Dutch Hill Campground, site 127, which is a very large pull-through with an electric hookup. We have a 32 foot travel trailer and we like to have room to park our pickup in our site. This site was perhaps not the most beautiful site but it was very easy to get in and... More

We stayed for 1 night to test out overnight camping with our kids (8,5,3). I researched through tripadvisor and searching online to figure out which campsite would be best for us. We were near the Dutch Hill campground but on Bridge Island so as tent campers we were far enough away from RVs and crowds. The web site for reserving... More

We camped in the bay loop (a very new part of the campground) with our daughter, her husband and three very young children for a week. This a a very kid friendly campground with a nice playground, beaches, places to ride bikes, and hike. We were surprised that the mosquito population was gone by mid September but the flies were... The campground was clean and we had a view of the lake. Wish there had been more trees but we understand the beetle infestation took out many. The grandkids enjoyed the beach area. Would go again! The bathroom was kept clean. While we were there we saw an elk and several deer.

Just did a three night stay in Sunrise Vista. The location was great--easily accessible to the swim beach which was a ton of fun. Gorgeous lake views and steam rolling in early morning. If you go with a group of people I'd highly recommend rose town loop. There are 7 sites and it's like your own mini culdesac. Bring bikes... More

A friend and I stayed in the Dutch Hill campsite for one night (tent only). While perhaps not conducive to staying a long time, we really enjoyed the time we were there. There aren't many trees, and the campsites were not very private; however, the views are amazing and well worth it. We were nestled near the river and located... More

We could see why this would have been one of Colorado's premier state parks and campgrounds, but unfortunately, so many trees have been cut down. We stayed on Bridge Island (tent only), and you could see all the tree stumps. But basically it is tree-less now. Because all of the tent sites are out in the open, there is little... More
