We stayed here for a single night and were immediately enchanted by the peaceful seclusion of the place despite its convenient proximity to the main thoroughfares. We were able to check in seamlessly with their charming contactless system, dropped our luggage in the room and then headed out to experience the wonders of the Strawberry Hot Springs as well as the leisurely pace of the Steamboat Springs downtown dining environment. The next morning we met Beth, who is just absolutely personable and approachable! Her breakfast for us was simply superb and yet nothing quite topped the moments sitting by the stream, sipping fresh coffee under the warming rays of the morning sun. It was altogether a splendid escape from the normal routine & we'll definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Mariposa. The home was clean, comfortable, welcoming, with little extras to make our stay in Steamboat delightful. We found Beth to be available, helpful in recommending what to do in town, as well as easy to chat with and very friendly. Breakfast both mornings was outstanding. We also enjoyed the easy walk to downtown and the places in and outside of the lodge to read or enjoy the beauty of the location.. We are considering how quickly we can return to the Mariposa! We would love to rent the entire home and bring our family. Thank you Beth!

The room was comfortable and beautifully appointed. The breakfast was amazing - delicious, filling, but left left us feeling energetic and ready to ski. Our hosts had great advice for navigating town and the ski resort.

This was the exact getaway my husband and I were looking for! Tucked back in a quiet area but super close to downtown. The rooms are all beautiful and each have their own touch. The common areas are lovely and make you want to hang out there all day. We loved sitting in the sun room to watch the snow :) Even though the breakfast got delivered to us each morning with no contact, due to covid-19, they were yummy! We would definitely come back to Mariposa!

Everything you could want from a Bed & Breakfast. The decor throughout was so quaint and the room had a comfortable bed. It seems as though the rooms are all adjacent however never an issue with noise. The breakfast in the morning, though small, was yummy. It was such a lovely place to spend a rainy morning; reading, doing a puzzle, cozying up with coffee. Being walking distance to downtown was another perk. I'll definitely stay here again!

We spent 3 days at the Mariposa Lodge. What a wonderfully relaxing weekend. We started our Saturday with a hearty breakfast created by Beth, then we purchased t-shirts from O’Hanna, olive oil and balsamic vinegar from Elevated Olive, enjoyed tapas (twice) at Besame’ and coffee (twice ) at Off the Beaten Path Bookstore. Don’t forget to visit Strawberry Hot Springs and include a massage.

From the moment I saw the front porch and opened the door, I was in awe. Our room, the Monarch, was elegant and inviting. Every detail was included: the comfy bed, the gas fireplace, the jacuzzi tub and all the lovely linens. The breakfast served by friendly staff was delicious and the other guests felt like friends. My favorite was sitting by the moving stream sketching with a cool glass of wine close by.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very nice room, comfortable bed, large bath, excellent linens and towels, extra wool blankets if needed. Nice sitting areas indoors. Is located at the end of a city street, up against a field and a little creek - lots of birds to watch in the yard. Recommend.

This was a great place to stay. Well appointed, comfortable, clean, and very quiet.
The breakfasts are outstanding. Located north of the city, it is quiet and close to Fish Creek Falls and The Strawberry Park Hot Springs. Beth, the owner and manager, is very friendly and is doing a great job!

Beth is an incredible hostess. She’s warm & engaging & really cares about making your visit memorable. The house is charming with beautiful wood beams. All of the rooms are comfortable & quiet. Breakfasts were delicious farm to table & fresh. There were fresh picked herbs & fruit & plenty to eat! We enjoyed sitting in the backyard by the stream after a day of hiking. We’ll definitely stay here again when we’re in Steamboat.
