The Nordic Lodge was the perfect place for my family to stay in Steamboat. You get dropped off first for airport shuttles, within walking distance to Howelson Hill, a bus stop across the street, easy access to everything. Very friendly staff. We had the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom with kitchen which was great to make breakfast every day. Good coffee, hot chocolate, etc... in the office. I would highly recommend staying here if you are not planning on paying the exorbitant prices near Steamboat Resort.

This hotel is in the town of steamboat. Everything is easily walked to. It is not fancy and is good for skiers. The shuttle up to the mountain is convenient and the stop right across the street. The rooms have been updated to the extent they can be. The owners are very helpful and will take the time to explain the shuttle. They also enforce the quiet hours policy. That is huge! No one wants a bunch of partiers next door when you are trying to sleep. the fact the owners are willing to really enforce those hours makes me like staying there more. Book early to get the best rates. The cancellation policy is also reasonable. If you don't want to spend a fortune this is the place to stay.

My girlfriend and I had a great stay at Nordic Lodge for a 5 day visit during spring break 2023. Cozy room and an incredibly convenient location. Across the street from the bus stop (bus to the mountain is free) and from a great bakery. Front desk was very helpful with suggestions on how to enjoy the town and made an effort to provide us a last minute late check out to grab final turns on fresh snow. Highly recommend for the price.

We stayed at a 2 queen room with my husband, sister and 2 toddlers. It was comfortable. The owners are very friendly and accomodating and we enjoyed chatting with them. The rooms are clean and comfortable... the rooms are a bit outdated, most of the outlets/sockets are very old and loose so my charger kept falling off and not charging my devices. There was nowhere to hang wet towels, they should add some hooks in the bathroom and even in the bedroom so people can hang some stuff. The hot tub was great, very hot and big. They always had free hot tea and coffee available. Overall we liked it and had a great experience

Beds and sheets were very comfortable. The Location is great - downtown and easy access to bus to slopes.. Owners very friendly and helpful. Would stay again. There is a Microwave and refrigerator in the rooms. Coffee is available in lobby.

I would stay here again! The room was clean and had a good sized mini fridge and a microwave. My room was quiet; never heard the people on either side. Everyone working there was friendly and helpful. I appreciate how dog friendly they are and feel that the pet policy is fair. They cleared the snow and ice quickly. The location is great.

Great location - right downtown by food and shopping, with easy access to the bus line right in front of the hotel (takes you right to the Gondola at the base of the ski hill). Rooms are cozy and clean. They were able to accommodate my small teardrop trailer while we stayed there. Very friendly service. Also, good for pets.

This was my first, and won't be my last, stay at Nordic Lodge. Proprietor Greg was fantastic....he truly cares about his visitors' stays. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Steamboat and for hopping on the bus to head up to the ski area. And after a day on the slopes the hot tub can't be beat. I've been to Steamboat many times, and until this trip always stayed up on the mountain. But this was the way to go....much more reasonable prices than up there, more convenience for restaurants and bars, and again, stellar treatment by Greg and staff.

We loved staying at Nordic Lodge, nice friendly place in town and walkable to everything in Steamboat or to just get a shuttle or bus. Rooms are basic with comfortable beds cleaned every day with fresh towels. Our room had a refrigerator, microwave and small table, so we could eat a few meals in our room because eating out was very expensive. The office had coffee and tea day and night with tables and chairs. We were with a friend, so it was a good place to meet up or wait for a shuttle. We had a room at the rear with a king bed, nice and quiet, just around the corner was the hot tub. The pool is only available in the summer. Plenty of free parking, we were able to park right by our room. Would love to go back when in Steamboat.

Amazing location in the heart of downtown and close to restaurants and shops and the shuttle to Steamboat Mountain ski base area. It was pet friendly and has a pool and hot tub as an added bonus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I get it’s ski season but it was a bit pricey for the quality.
