A couple friends and I booked the sister suite for a ski weekend, and nothing was as advertised. The “suite” was not private at all. The living room area was completely open to the front door, so anyone walking in or out of the house could clearly see and hear anything we were doing. One of the owners has a room inside the “suite” so he, his dog, and even the owner’s grandchild would just walk in and out whenever. The bathroom also held the washing machine, so if you aren’t out of the house pretty early, the owners will walk in and wash sheets, etc. The cable was basically useless. It went in and out all the time, and it wasn’t even bad weather that would affect a satellite dish or anything. The WiFi is unusable in the suite, which is in the basement level. You have to go upstairs to the main floor to use it. Also, since it’s in the basement, phones have problems connecting to cell towers, unless you stand by a window. The hot tub, which was why we booked this particular place, has been out of order for months, yet is still listed on the website, and we were not notified until we arrived. The place is very close to the resort and they have onsite parking, which was convenient. They let us use their kitchen to make dinner the first night, which was nice, and the breakfasts they provided were very good. It worked for what we absolutely needed, but there were other places in the same price range that would have had all the comforts this one was supposed to have. I suggest looking elsewhere, unless you are truly looking for just a place to sleep.…
My partner and i had an absolutely lovely time. The owner was sweet, thoughtful and easy to talk to. It's also 5 miles from the hot springs. I would definitely return in the future and recommend staying there :)
Bob was a great host, delicious breakfast in a bright, comfortable living space. The beds were super comfortable and location is convenient to some nice restaurants, shops and the road to Strawberry Park hot springs, yet still quiet. We would definitely go back!
Bob is a wonderful host and we enjoyed his breakfasts. Our two day stay in the room "Zoe's Rose Garden" was comfortable and we felt at home in the rest of the house . The Alpine is very close to downtown and easy to get to. This was a great place to be in the fall of the year. Beautiful scenery! We would love to return in the Winter.
Bob was a great host! We stayed for two nights in the Warren G room. The bed was so comfortable. Breakfast both days was delicious. The hot tub was relaxing after a day of skiing. We enjoyed chess and checkers with a great view of the mountains. We were walking distance from old town and only 15 minutes from Strawberry hot springs. We had a great time and I can’t wait to visit again!
