Detailed Reviews
What a treat it was to stay at this lodge. We needed a room in a hurry and for the first time ever I booked through a third party, which I would normally not do nor recommend. But thanks to that third party booking site I found a room at a great rate and was so pleased with the hotel. I tried to call to confirm the booking and quickly got a text response, my booking was confirmed and I felt like I got the best service before even arriving. The room was perfect, love those beds. The wooden building and the really keys were a nice touch. Thank you for the awesome stay, we will be back.

Really great staff, best place we stayed during our road trip!
Our plans did not go as we hoped on the last day of our trip, so we ended at Ute Bluff Lodge without a reservation, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we got a room, were comfortable, and recommended a great place to eat.
If we ever end up back in that part of Colorado, definitely staying there again!

The room was decent, bed was firm which was great for me. Small, but all I needed. The hot tub was outside and it was cold, but i was happy with the hot tub.
The woman half of the couple, Claire, was a little edgy in attitude, but overall, very happy.

Cute place. However, stayed only 1 night and got charged twice. It been over three weeks now and still have not received a refund. Was promised to “get this fixed”. I’ve reached out several times and have not received any more response from them.

This is a very nice place! We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was perfect for us and our two teenagers. We plan to go back during skiing season. It was very clean, and that's a big deal to me.

Just got back from a great ski trip to Wolf Creek. (Best snow in Colorado). We always stay on the east side of the mountain at South Fork.............for two reasons: we love the Ute Bluff lodge and when there happens to be lots of new snow, many times those poor souls who stay in Pagosa Springs (west side) find the mountain pass closed for part or all of the day! That has never happened to us. The Ute Bluff Lodge offers warm, comfortable accomodations at very affordable prices where our hosts, Debbie and Paul, go out of their way to be friendly, helpful in many (unexpected) ways as well as charming and fun! See you there......................but just don't try to get suite #10 in early March.

Nothing special; the room was a bit dated but functional and clean. Friendly staff/owners. Great for inexpensive ski weekend at Wolf Creek.

We have stayed here several times, and will be back in 2009. Paul and Deb are fantastic hosts, the rooms are always clean and tidy. The TWO hot tubs are great after a day on the mountain, and the atmosphere is always one of "thanks for being our friends".
We have not been here during ski season, but in September it is quiet and peaceful. Love being able to sleep with the windows open and listening to the night sounds.
thank you, Paul and Deb, for a great accomodation.

We arrived late in the evening and were greeted warmly by the owner. As we hadn't eaten she called the local restaurants and found one (Ramone's Mexican) that would turn on the grill again and do take out for us ... we really appreciated this! as my husband is diabetic.
The log lodge is attractive, set against the mountain backdrop. No need for air conditioning in the mountain air, our bed was very comfortable, and the room immaculately clean, spatious and well organized. In the morning we enjoyed the outdoor hot tub with a lovely view. All for a very affordable price! We would definitely stay here again - and for a longer time to explore more of the surrounding area, which has a fascinating history.
