This is our 5th time here. For skiing access this is perfect right out the door on the slopes. Our checkin with Aman was excellent and as a Titanium member an upgrade was much appreciated. The room was very clean and the mountain view was great. We’ll definitely stay here again next year.
If you are a loyal Marriott customer (In our case we are lifetime titanium), you will be greeted with with the worst room on the hotel. Directly off the noisy lobby and a view of the mall’s roof. The photos in the add for this hotel are extremely misleading. They are dark with poor lighting. This property used to be a Westin… which i will admit, when it was a Westin, it was tired and in need of a facelift, but this reno was just putting lipstick on a pig. The rooms are cramped and dark and still outdated. Front desk staff was awful. I miss that the Starbucks closed just steps outside the hotel, it’s been made into a hotel run coffee shop and the service is terribly slow, and inefficient. The current management refuses to recognize loyalty. When it was the Westin, our loyalty was revered. The location is the only thing that keeps this place in business. Ski in, ski out on Snowmass…. I would suggest staying elsewhere, we certainly will be.…
Great ski in ski out, staff very friendly and assist with luggage and skis. Rooms are very spacious very close to the mall, and the village has an excellent breakfast with amazing buffet. Shuttle bus route us in and took us to the airport very courteous and punctual I highly recommend it for a couples or families, especially if you need a skin ski in an out with easy access to amenities understands.
This is a perfectly located ski-in ski-out hotel in Snowmass but otherwise lacking in amenities. The food in the restaurant was inedible. A lobster tail came out cold and poorly cooked. The broccolini was cold. The room is ok but as a Marriott Bonvoy member no amenities were offered. Specifically it’s unheard of to not have bottled water in the room in ski resort. Just disappointing for a premium resort. Aspen is known for fine dining and friendly and engaging hospitality so this is even more obvious as an anomaly
Excellent stay, excellent staff. Rooms were clean and nice. Ski valet and ski in / ski out set up was super convenient. Also appreciated how easy it was to add dogs to the reservation on short notice. Special thank you to Nick, who was a big help with our gear.
Our group had such a terrible experience at the View Line Hotel. The management and staff, specifically Jennifer Camilli, didn't uphold their end of the deal when we committed to a block of 11 rooms. They even charged us for the room they gave up. This is entirely unacceptable and demonstrates a complete lack of respect for their customers. Additionally, the fact that the hotel couldn't provide an ADA room for our Paralympic gold medal ice hockey player, and no one from the hotel was willing to help, is truly disappointing. As a hotel, they should be well-equipped to provide accommodations for individuals with disabilities, and their inability to do so clearly indicates their disregard for their guests' needs. Overall, the View Line Hotel's actions demonstrate a lack of professionalism and customer service. I would strongly caution others against staying at this hotel, as they do not prioritize their guests' comfort and satisfaction.…
This is literally one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. While the location is great, the customer service is some of the worst I have ever seen and bordering on criminal. From the very get go some of the worst service I have ever seen… people at front desk clueless, restaurant service clueless, and the rooms are complete crap… there are not even sheets on the bed… only a disgusting duvet cover. The first full day we are there room service shows up at 8:30 am when we are still getting ready.. we ask them to come back in one hour. We proceed to ski all day and when we get back at 3:30 the room has not been cleaned. I call the front desk to tell them… instead of apologizing they ask if we had the “do not disturb” sign on our door… I say no.. and they ask.. “have you ever had it”… and of course I say no as it is clearly hanging on the backside of our door. I politely ask for them to clean at 5:30 or 6 and they say no problem. Interestingly enough … 2 min later housekeeping knocks on our door and we also tell them to please come back at 5:30. As we walk out at 5ish I still see the do not disturb hanging on the inside of our door. We proceed to go to dinner… when we arrive home shortly after 7 pm my husband walks in to a room that has not been cleaned… and somehow, someway the do not disturb since is miraculously now hanging on the front of our door….. that means that someone actually came into our room and moved the do not disturb to the outside of our door without actually cleaning… all of this seen and documented by 2 adults and a 13 year old child. What an extreme violation and straight up criminal behavior from all the staff. Management was somewhat apologetic but still did not take ownership or even come up with an idea to make it up to us. The owners and management should be embarrassed and should actually investigate to make sure those involved are fired… but sadly I doubt that anyone even cares as most of the staff here seem to have not even had the basic level of training for customer service. Please do yourself and your family a favor and avoid this hotel at all costs… if the rest of Snowmass wasn’t already booked I would actually move hotels (which I have never done in my 30 plus years of travel)…..as after this experience I do not feel safe here.…
I was really hoping that the new autograph hotel from marriott would be better than the previous westin. However it is not. Other than a small face lift. The food. The service. The follow through is not up to par. They have a fantastic location. But the staff is clueless and can barely communicate and comprehend what you are saying. I’m a big marriott fan and have been for decades. And there are a lot of choices in snowmass and aspen. The viewline will a place we do not return to. Good luck with your trip
This was our first time to Aspen Snowmass and we were so impressed with our entire visit. We have done a lot of big mountain skiing all over the US and Canada. We always stay in Marriott properties that are ski-in/ski-out. This Marriott Autograph property has quickly become a favorite. The staff has been amazing since our arrival through departure. The airport shuttle, room amenities, ski valet, restaurants and overall service have been exceptional. The convenience of this hotel within Snowmass Village is ideal. We did use the city bus (which is a very nice perk) to go downtown Aspen, however we prefer Snowmass mountain to ski, which makes this hotel perfect for us over the downtown Aspen hotels. We will be back next ski season and we thank the hotel staff for making this such a great experience. …
The location of this hotel was amazing. Ski in and ski out, spectacular views, cozy lobby and bar, on the mall and next to rentals, complimentary storage. Sadly, the room was a disappointment. We booked well over a month ago, so this was not a last minute purchase. I think it must have been an out of service room. The beds only had a duvet cover, there were no "extras." We had a room with two queen beds and started with two washcloths, two hand towels, and 3 towels (for 4 people). There were no extra towels, pillows, sheets, blankets, robes, slippers or pool towels. The refrigerator didn't work and was not replaced or fixed, even upon multiple requests. The HVAC was extremely loud and sounded like a snow blower was activated in our room at all times. We mentioned all of these things and other than bringing towels, they went unaddressed and said they would make a note of it. Not once during the whole weekend stay did someone ask if we were enjoying our stay. Even upon check-out, I went up to the desk and a manager was speaking with a front desk agent and the other desk was vacant. After about two minutes of standing there, another front desk agent walked up and the manager looked up, gestured to the agent and said, "You can go over there for her to assist you." Service was non-existent, even from management, except for the bartenders! Especially one, I wish I could remember her name, but she had a side braid in her dark hair with a beautiful blonde streak. Thank you! Based on this experience I would not return to this hotel.…
