We stayed at The Westin on two weekends in February. In general, I would be cautious about staying here again. The big appeal is the amazing location. You can go right out to the hill and everything you need in terms of gear, rentals, etc. is right at your door. I also found the concierge team to be really great - they were all such warm and high-energy people. This hotel is in really bad condition. Rooms aren't just dated - they are damaged. I hope they are re-doing this soon? I don't think I have ever stayed in a room with so much damage to hardware, walls, carpet, drawer handles, etc. Front desk had some of the worst customer service I've seen. I spent some time in the lobby on my laptop and it seemed like nearly every guest was having some huge issue with them. Food is not great on-site. I'm not sure why other reviewers are raving about this.

I had to go back one more time before the remodel. everyone is so nice and hassle free. Jan and Nelson were awesome and the stay fantastic as usual. The property has always been good to me, located in an ideal spot and a great value.

The hotel is old and very oddly configured. Rooms are very small, low ceilings and old furniture/feeling. I assume the staff is not well trained, as everything was disappointing (Not up to Westin standards). I booked through the their App, and even as my confirmation showed mu Titanium level, at checkin they knew nothing about it. I was supposed to get an upgrade and late checkout, and the receptionist said that could happen as they new nothing about my status even after they confirmed in their system my status and I showed them how it was noted in my reservation. They ended giving me a shaggy miniature room, with no view nor space. The bathrooms are also small and badly configured - open shower lets all the water out. At checkin, I was never told I had to call housekeeping early to have the room cleaned. So I arrived after a long day skiing and my room was not made. The food is just ok but overpriced. Finally, the whole hotel is definitely overpriced and overrated. Its more like a Motel rather than a Westin... Heavenly Disappointing!

Dear odg007, Thank you for your valuable feedback. I'm terribly sorry that your stay resulted in a disappointing experience. We value our elite loyalty members and thank you for your patronage. Often times we're unable to honor upgrade requests as our number of suites are very limited. Our current COVID practices do encourage guests to schedule housekeeping services as we strive to create an environment where we do not disturb unless requested. Finally, our resort is unusual in that our building follows the topography of the mountain. Built in 1967, we are due for our next major renovation, occurring starting in April of this year. I do hope that we may have the opportunity to serve you again at some point in the future. Thank you again for the feedback.

The service was lacking. We requested cleaning service daily (confirmed by front desk), and the room was never cleaned. Then we had to wait for over 3 hours for extra towels and washcloths on the second day. We utilized the concierge for dinner reservations, and I had to follow up with him for two weeks. We didn’t learn until I got a confirmation call from a restaurant in Aspen that he had made dinner reservations for us in the bar. So we paid full price (over $100pp) at a nice restaurant and sat in a bar. It’s a great location, but the property is old and needs a facelift, and the staff needs training on customer service. Room tip - request a room near the lobby. We were in another wing, which meant we had to take two different elevators and walk a long way. It took over 5 minutes just to get to our room.

I am very sorry you experienced such service issues during your visit. Our goal is to deliver on such requests as quickly as possible and I'm sorry we missed our mark in this case. We will begin renovations this April - we love our slopeside property and we're excited to share our transformed property later this year.
