Had a great stay, and the wife loved it too. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff (shout out to Dewey) was really helpful as it was our first visit to Snowmass. It was good value for the money, we'd absolutely come back!

We have gone to Aspen/Snowmass for the past 5 years and this is by far the best place for ski-in ski out. We Stayed at Woodrun V, and Woodrun Place, as well as Deerbrook Condos. While deerbrook was very convenient, without a rental car, getting around snowmass was a hassle. At Chamonix the free village shuttle drops off and picks up, as well as the local shuttle for Chamonix. We had process of elimination and stopped out searching each year when we found this place. We have 6 of us and we stay more than comfortably in the 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom A33. "A" building is by far the best because we are able to step into the hall, hit the elevator down to the locker room, get our gear, grab a grooming report and walk by the pool and hot-tube to the slopes (a 20 foot total walk outdoors before strapping on our gear). The condo itself is always stunning, with washer, dryer, in-cabinet dishwasher, unlimited wood on one of the two porches (one over slope, one over pool/slope), a wonderfully peaceful reading nook off the den. Whirlpool bath and steamshower in the master bedroom. We enjoy our stay here each year, and the front desk is always helpful. They allow us to print out our airline tickets before departing at the front desk, and they always are more than helpful with our UPSing our luggage there and making sure it is picked up and sent back to us.

My family of 5 adults stayed in unit 33 for 5 nights and while the location was perfect and the staff at the Chamonix were exceptionally pleasant and responsive to our requests and needs, the unit itself had a lot of unresolved issues.

For example, the shower in one of the bathrooms had a broken handle which the staff had known about for a long time and even commented that the broken part had been glued ‘10 times’, the owner knew about it and had not replaced it as requested. A wrench had to be attached to the bolt on the shower control to turn it on.

Most of the automatic power-rise shades did not work or were missing from the windows. Again, we were informed that the owner was aware of this but had done nothing to repair or replace them. Consequently, we were unable to see the view from one whole side of the unit or open a window on that side of the condo for fresh air ventilation.

The water spout in the master suite was loose.

The humidifier one family member used was moldy (creating a risk of upper respiratory infection for anyone using it).

The coffee pot lid was broken.

The carpet was disgusting—dirty, stained, bleached in some areas; it looks like the original 30-year old carpet.

The owners provided NOTHING in the kitchen to accommodate meal preparation—not even salt and pepper, Saran Wrap, aluminum foil, food storage bags, napkins or even chip clips, not even a rubber band was to be found! If you wanted to prepare a meal, you had to buy EVERYTHING from spices to storage bags.

Mariel819, We appreciate your feedback on the unit you stayed in during your trip out here in Snowmass Village! Since the owner is aware of these ongoing issues, as our slow season approaches, they should be taking a closer look into them and resolving all of this! Were we able to send one of our maintenance tech's up to look at the shower, blinds, or water spout? Usually our team is pretty good at coming up with some sort of a resolution, even if it is temporary. We should've been able to replace your coffee pot as well as humidifier if we were aware of the situation.. If not, our sincerest apologies! As for your last paragraph, our owners are not required to provide any of the following, however if you had asked one of our front desk staff for any of those items, I'm sure someone would've been able to accommodate them. We hope that these problems didn't devastate your entire stay and would enjoy making things right for a future visit with us!

We picked this place to do the ski in ski out location and I liked the idea of having a slopeside hot tub for Apri ski. Skins key out location was good but I think it would have been better if located on the west side of the village. Pool area was shaded in the afternoon, so it was quite cold. Very much appreciated the ski lockers to store our items. Layout of the resort is very confusing with several buildings, and several different staggered levels, so was impossible to avoid some stairs. The actual condo was not really all that nice. I appreciated that two bedrooms could sleep six people with two bunks in one of the room with a queen. Patio access from the master bedroom was nice. Good amount of windows for natural lighting. Furnishings, however, were old there was a hole in the ceiling in the dining area from a fan that had been ripped out, but never been replaced. Tiniest wine glasses I’ve seen in any place I’ve ever stayed. Small galley kitchen. The price was very high, and didn’t really measure up to the value of the actual accommodation. If I was going to stay in a lower quality accommodation, I would expect it to cost half as much and will just seek that out in the future.

We stayed in #33 for 10 days and it was fantastic. The condo photos did not do it justice. Views were of the Elk Gondola run, ski in and out was terrific. Each bedroom had its own bathroom with tv's, kitchen was really well appointed, lounge was terrific and there was a reading area that looked out onto the Funnel run. Spa was right on the slopes and could be accessed as you came home from a day on the snow. Shuttle service was fantastic and made getting around very easy. I have been trying to think of a criticism and the only complaint would be the lack of a hairdryer which in the scheme of things is really clutching at straws. This was a great venue and we would definitely return and recommend this condo to anyone wanting space, comfort and direct access to the snow.

We stayed at the Chamonix condos in April 2009 for 8 nights. We had a 3 bedroom/3 bath condo. Each bedroom had their own bathroom. The condo was very clean and well decorated. The service we had at the front office and from housekeeping as great.

The ski in/ski out condo is in a great location it is right across from the Elk Camp Gondola (2nd stop). It worked out very well for our families. We enjoyed the hot tub and the ski lockers are very convenient.

We defnitely would stay at Chamonix again.

My family and I have been traveling to Snowmass, CO, for 11 years now. We usually book through the Snowmass Lodging Company and never before had a bad surprise. This last January we were for the first time slightly dissatisfied.
We booked later than usual. There were not many 3-bedroom ski in/out units available in Snowmass. Actually, I believe this was the only one (now I know why). It was our first stay at Chamonix (in previous seasons we stayed at the Timberline, the Woodrun Place or the Enclave).
Chamonix is general as good as the other condos in terms of location and common facilities. Pretty comfortable and convenient indeed. Our unit 46, however, was old and outdated. I don't care so much for interior decoration in these relatively short ski trips, but some comfort is essential. The master bed mattress was completely beaten and worn-out. It had two concavities, one for each body, where my wife and I had to find a way to sleep for almost two weeks. And there's no way you can turn on your side; it takes rolling uphill and then be forced by gravity to roll back to the bottom. The master bedroom shower lacks water pressure, which takes away the pleasure of a hot, relaxing shower after ski. The TV sets are much too old and small. It would be great to have at least one full HD TV 50" or larger in the living room. Apart from that, the apartment is ok. And Chamonix in general seems to be a great choice if you are lucky enough to be placed in a decent unit. We were unlucky.

We thoroughly enjoyed our two bedroom condo in Snowmass Village! One bedroom had two bunk beds with an adjoining bath, the master a king sized bed with a bath. It had a beautifully appointed full kitchen with gorgeous granite countertops. The kitchen had everthing you need to enjoy homecooked meals in the condo, which we love to do to save some money while vacationing. There was a comfortable living room and separate dining room. And, of course, the views are amazing. We visited the pool, hottub, and workout room. All were nice. The front desk personnel were helpful and accommodating. The only drawback is the construction in the area, which woke me up one morning. The common areas are being remodeled, but we were never bothered by that during our stay. Loved it!
