I spent the weekend at The Bent Elbow to ski Silverton mountain. The Bent Elbow was perfect. Clean room , comfortable beds and great location. Also, Darlene went above and beyond. I forgot a small bag of clothes there, and Darlene quickly found it and sent it to me. I highly recommend this hotel.

While the Bent Elbow Hotel is a delightful place to eat, the room we stayed in had very noisy floor boards that made a sharp cracking sound in our room as people in an adjacent room walked around. The boards made a similar racket in our room, as well. We couldn't get to sleep until our adjacent room neighbors settled in for the night, and then when anyone got up in the night the floor racket woke us. The owner, Darlene, was no help. When I called her to complain about the noise her comment was, "well, what do you expect this building is 150 years old," and "you can leave." On the positive side the room was comfy and well appointed and Darlene was kind enough to allow us to leave our luggage in the room until the train came that afternoon.

David, sorry your Stay was unpleasant! Thank you for taking the time to review us. Although I am still wondering as to what you expected me to do? The building is very old it was built in 1907. I do believe that old Victorian style establishments are not for everyone. These type of establishment come with creaking noise, not nesiisarrly your modern day place. Unfortunately At this point in time there is not much that can be done about the creaking of the floors, unless we done some major reconstruction. I do want to point that I was very accommodating , I first off let you in your room three hours before check in , check in is 3” o’clock and let you stay almost four hours past checkout, checkout is 10’ o’clock. In most cases would have been another night stay. I also offered you a different room which you found unpleasant as well. We offer plenty of nice ammonites as well. You received had made truffles upon arrival, bottled water, organic shampoo, condition, body wash and locally hand made soap, organic coffee and herbal tea. Sorry for your discomfort. The folks in room next to you left a 5 star review, loved the place and did not complain about you ! Once again thank you for your review. Thank You Darlene

Hubby and I stayed for one night as part of a Colorado trip. I booked the Bordello Room as it seemed to be one of the nicest ones (and with a street view). Silverado is a funky town and Blair street (where the hotel is) has this rough Western character to it, so at first glance it may look on the shabby side. However, inside is clean, charming, with lots of fluffy towels and cute decorations, and truffles waiting when one arrives. Comfortable, with a kind and attentive staff. We got a breakfast discount in the restaurant of the same building, and took advantage of it. All in all, it was a great place to stay in Silverton.

Great hotel room and the best food in Silverton. Each room is decorated differently and are very clean. We had one of the rooms with a balcony. Breakfast is great! All the food they use is fresh.....no processed food. And there are some unique selections. Dinner is just as good and the prices are very fair. The staff (and Owners) are wonderful people that get how to run a business. I will go back at any time!

Darlene, Charlene, Bonnie, Abby and all the other staff at the Bent Elbow are top notch. They certainly know how to treat their guests. We feel like house guests and not hotel guests every time we have been here. The Bordello Room is one of the two balcony rooms overlooking the entire town and totally worth it! Everything is fresh, clean and spotless at the Bent Elbow. The food downstairs made by Chef Bonnie is top notch as well! You can't go wrong here. You check-in for the hotel at the bar which we love. Easy going and laid back. Some of the most kind people we have met in a long time. This place is one of the biggest reasons we spend weekends away in Silverton. Thank you!
