Hotel's Favorite
Saint Augustine Beach House never disappoints. My husband and I have stayed here several times and it just keeps getting better and better. The last time we were here it was during Covid so they weren’t offering many things. But a lot has changed since then. Fist what I love the most is the resort is pet friendly. Well pretty much a lot of the places in ST Augustine are pet friendly. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Checkin process was fast and they were very informative in regards to what they offered. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. They have a sink full size fridge coffee maker microwave no stove. But you can always bring a small burner. The mattress is very comfortable and the views are amazing. You wake up in the morning to a beautiful sunrise and the sound of waves. Can’t get any better. They provide blankets for your four legged baby😊 and chairs in the balcony. You don’t have to bring anything other than your clothes. They provide beach chair umbrellas and towels, all hassle free. They also offer breakfast. Delicious. They do have a menu that you select what you want but everything is fresh. No powder eggs!!!!!!!! That’s a plus. Please keep it up. And it’s complimentary.
Walking distance is a Publix and pizza restaurant. All the other attractions are roughly 10 minute drive.
If you are looking for comfort, pet friendly couples getaway or just a place to relax I highly recommend staying at St Augustine Beach House. This is my husband and my four legged baby Stewie favorite place to stay!!!!

Second time to this great little place, rooms are excellent in layout-acutall sliding screen doors on windows to hear the ocean all night.Everything you need and than some-Clean,spacious,staff is obviously hand picked for the comfort and style of this beachouse relaxed feeling,If you want a quiet cool little joint this is for You,Best part Pet friendly, and beach (Vilano) allows dogs.(wish they had some garbage cans in some locations, however beach is very clean from debris). All front staff, assist Jeff, and Jane(morning chef) are simply so wonderful.Jane just might throw the best breakfast and her pineapple upside down cake is outrageous.Nothing better than sitting outside on the stools having breakfast facing the ocean.Every year we stay longer and longer. What a cool joint just to chill-To anyone going you won't be disappointed.

St. Augustine Beach House raises the bar when it comes to dog friendly accommodations, add their ideal location on a dog friendly beach coupled with an awesome staff you will be beyond pleased with your stay. On arrival there was a special linen pack for our fur baby to be sure she enjoys her beach time. We were given a menu for a cooked to order breakfast every morning during our stay to make our selections. We would just give them a call in the morning to say when we would be down to get our breakfast and it would be hot and ready. The room was impeccably clean, the vinyl plank flooring stays clean, the room smells great and the bedding is pristine. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were perfect. The view from the ocean front balcony was breathtaking. With all the features and amenities I’ve mentioned I can’t sing the praises of the staff enough. They were always helpful, professional, considerate, and made you and your dog feel like the most important part of their day. I love, love, love this special ocean front dog friendly boutique hotel. We will be back soon!

Location, location, location......unfortunately, that's the only positive thing I can say about this facility. Do NOT be deceived. Except for the pictures of the ocean and beach, the pictures of the actual facility are not, in our experience, an accurate portrayal of the property. In my opinion, this is nothing more than a upgraded 1970s Motel 6 with a fresh coat of paint and new laminate wood flooring. The views are awesome and the sound of the waves are wonderful, but given all of the competition in the area at much lower price points, unless you absolutely must stay beachfront, then you are better offer at a newer, cleaner facility at half the price.
It truly did have a fresh coat of paint and new laminate floors, but the paint job looked like my 9 year old did it...e.g. unpainted gaps all over the place, paint on the base board and molding where it shouldn't be and completely missed spots on the walls where it should be.
The mattress in our room (#202) was like sleeping on compacted sand. Maybe others enjoy sleeping on what feels like my college dorm room mattress, but not me, especially at this price point. I'm shocked these haven't been replaced by now. A good night's sleep should be a basic assumption when paying these prices but it is not.
The walls and ceilings are paper thin and you can hear every footstep above you, the "noises" in the room beside you, the people walking past your door, and everyone in the breakfast area below you at 6:30 a.m. Do NOT stay near the breakfast area.
Under the sink cabinet was a variety of used consumer products, yuck and filth that looked to be years old. It was disgusting (see pic, but you may not want to zoom in if you have a weak stomach). Again, Pig with Makeup On It Is Still a Pig.
The vent in the bathroom didn't work. The ceiling fan wobbled incessantly. The HVAC unit is not a central unit and it's as far away from the bed as you can get. Various light switches didn't work. Again with the Pig.
Breakfast had four small tables for 2 each and 1 outside table for 2 . That's great unless you have 20 - 30 people vying to find a place to each in a room that couldn't have been more than 10' x 15' in size. Wholly insufficient space and not acceptable at this price point.
Staff was friendly and helpful, Ferrell cats abound. Beach access was crazy good. Waves and wind were awesome and shelling was insane, but as for the facility itself, see above.

We spent a couple nights with the family at this wonderful beach front hotel. The rooms were super clean and had a fantastic view of the Atlantic ocean. Staff was very friendly and the service was great. Would highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a beachfront hotel that is cost-effective. This view is from the second floor. The hotel has three floors. It does require walking up stair cases for each floor so I put my older family member on the first floor and the rest of the family took a second floor room.

We booked this location because it was one of the last rooms we could find last minute that was oceanfront, and it had excellent reviews. It was a bit pricy for three nights, but was well worth the money in my opinion. The room was immaculate, and is honestly one of the only hotel rooms I have ever stayed in that I could not find anything wrong with it! We had a unit on the end and literally had an ocean view from every single window. It was absolutely spotless. In fact, my daughter said she wished that she could live there! We had a king size bed with a smaller built in twin seat/bed, so we had plenty of space. The hotel provided umbrellas, beach chairs, towels, even reading books for the beach. They had a foot wash station right near the stairs which made coming back from the beach easier. We picked up breakfast every morning due to the breakfast area being temporarily closed, and it was always ready when we called and delicious. The beach itself was beautiful and clean, not too crowded. We didn't see any seaweed or garbage on the beach the entire three days we were there. Great location, maybe a 10 minute drive to downtown St. Augustine. Will definitely come back in the future!

We were looking for a hotel in St. Augustine that was pet friendly and near a dog-friendly beach, and The Saint Augustine Beach House was a perfect match. We got room 106, which was on the bottom floor and had a view of the sand dunes and beach. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. After taking our dog on the beach and ocean we washed him right outside the hotel using their hose, and they provided us towels to dry him off.
Next time we end up in St. Augustine we'll definitely go here again

1. The wifi service was very spotty. However, once we brought it to the staffs attention, they started working on it right away.
2. The cooked breakfast items were a bit on the bland side and tasted like it was prepared in a microwave.
3. I would have preferred the kitchen have an oven and a bigger refrigerator for the price we paid.
4. It was a bit on the pricey side but we would stay again.
I loved everything else about this hotel. It was so peaceful and quiet. The property was very clean, health and safety conscious, well kept and beautifully decorated for the holidays. The rooms were charming and clean. Housekeeping was very thorough. The view from the balcony was spectacular creating a wonderfully therapeutic atmosphere. The bed was quite comfortable. The breakfast was served with the guests safety in mind which I loved and there were several options and items to choose from. The property's location is so convenient...walking distance from a Publix and St. Augustine's historic district was less than 10 minutes away. The staff was genuinely caring and accommodating.
This is a great getaway for 1 person or a couple.

Thank you so much for your review. Thank you for being patient with us while we figured out our new high speed wifi, we appreciate you alerting our staff to the issue so that we were able to fix it! Our breakfast is cooked fresh each morning, but if you are ever unsatisfied with what you receive, please let the staff know so we can work on finding you a substitute that you will be happier with! We would love to be able to give our guests a larger kitchen area. Although our rooms are spacious, they are only able to comfortably accommodate the current kitchenette layout without taking up too much of the room space. We value our guests' suggestions and will keep them in mind when making future improvements to the beach house. We are so happy to hear that you had a relaxing stay and felt safe and comfortable. Hopefully you are able to come visit us again soon!

This was our first time in this part of Florida and SABH is a great place to relax and enjoy the beach. We utilized their beach chairs and umbrella while there which was great. They gave you a menu to choose from for the time you are there for breakfast. Lots of choices and their sweets are to die for!!! Our last breakfast we had wrong/missing items but no biggie. I gave the breakfast server little tip when I picked up my order daily because they were hustling. Our room was on the third floor which had a great view but I would probably next time do the 1st or 2nd floor as bringing suitcases up was a challenge. For free of charge and advance notice, they will call you a shuttle to the trolley station which was awesome and they sell the tickets there for you. Our room was huge, lots of room for the 2 of us. The bed was not the best and not the worst to sleep on. Our sliding door screen was broken which was a bummer but we left the door open for the ocean breeze. The only item I would suggest to bring is a roll of papers towels for yourselves, otherwise there are plates and utensils. The staff is great and very helpful and I loved how you were able to contact them via text. I will sure to be back. This place is a slice of paradise, you’ll feel the same.

We were so lucky to stumble upon this quaint Beach hotel on our way down A1A! Our room was perfect! The attention they give to every little detail was so very refreshing after travelling and staying in various hotels for 2 weeks. From the quality of the linens/towels to the dishes in the kitchenette, they make you feel at home. The owners truly care about this property! Living area is separated from the bedroom with french doors (TV in each area) and sitting on the small balcony overlooking the beach is just mesmerizing! Grocery store is within walking distance and downtown St. Augustine is about a 5 minute drive. And best of all...its dog friendly! Breakfast was included as is the great service from the front desk staff. This is a small, quaint beach hotel I could very easily move into for a few weeks!
