Family of 4 + 1 pup enjoyed our stay at the St Augustine Beach House. The service was perfect and staff was friendly and catered to our needs. Breakfast was homemade and delicious and way more food then we needed each day! I would have preferred a dining area over to-go boxes each day but that’s a result of the pandemic so not much the hotel could do to fix it. From outside the hotel looks cute but nothing spectacular. Our room was nicely updated and VERY CLEAN and had cute beachy decor. It had a king size bedroom and a pull out sofa in the living area that was perfect for the 2 kids. We loved watching the sunrise every morning and listening to the waves from our balcony and room overlooking the ocean. The Kitchenette had a good sized fridge was very convenient. The in room coffee was not great so we went to Dunkin’ most mornings which is not far and just a quick drive over the bridge. A real coffee pot instead of the pod kind would have been better. The a/c was probably my only real complaint - it worked ok and cooled the room in November when the air outside was cool and comfortable. I would be nervous to feel it in the summer months - I’m sure I would be hot. Also the bedroom was separated from the living area by French doors but if you kept them closed then you don’t get any ac in the bedroom part bc the a/c unit is in the front - so we had to keep the doors open to stay cool while sleeping. Not a big deal but no real “privacy” that way.... (plus the French doors that separate the bedroom from living area are glass with a curtain on the living room side- (curtains really should be on the bedroom side! ) so again privacy was lacking) - this room would be best for a couple. It worked for our family and was better than having to get two rooms- but definitely something to consider if you’re hoping for alone time but traveling with little ones too. The water pressure in the shower was minimal... difficult to wash my hair... but again nothing terrible. We loved how dog friendly it was there. The beach allowed dogs and our pup was very happy. The whole town was very dog friendly. We took her pretty much everywhere with us so that was awesome. Publix is walking distance away. Theres a pizza place in the plaza too but it was just ok. Would be nice if there were other food options within walking distance. Overall we enjoyed our stay and if we come back to the area we would definitely stay again. Great location and service for the price.

Amazing location; 2 minute walk to the beach with great views from the room balconies. Dog friendly - love that they provide dog blankets/towels and an on-site fenced in yard for bathroom breaks. The breakfast is delicious and is one of the reasons I keep coming back. Their response to COVID with order ahead and to go options for the breakfast were ingenious - I felt safe and still had all the yummy food. They had lights up on the outside of the building for the holidays - so festive. And they use text messaging for communications which makes it really convenient. Great friendly customer service all around as well. Stay here - you won’t regret it!!

My wife and I always check reviews before booking any property. We always check the reviews and we booked this place for 2 days. The property is stunning with wonderful water views. The first thing we noticed was that we had no clothes hangers. The room was expansive and the bed was wonderful. The toilet seat was scuffed and the sink in the bathroom did not have sufficient water pressure. The curtain was threadbare at the bottom and the wood white trim in the room needs to be repainted. The TV was large but it is not high definition. They use Hulu for the T.V. reception and one night, the TV did not work at all. We were on the second floor and the last night, we heard every step and movement from the floor above. The breakfast has to ordered and you have to go down to the kitchen every morning and bring it to your room. The breakfast was wonderful! When the TV went out, we tried to call the emergency number provided and got a recording. Next time we visit this area, we will stay at a conventional hotel. A Gem but seriously flawed!

We really loved this place! The view is unbelievable. We woke up to about a 180 degree view of the ocean. The staff was very nice and no issues. We actually paid less then we expected. This is a very clean hotel Better then most chain hotels we have stayed in. This is probably the most important thing to us. I would have given them about 4.7 stars because there some condition issues with the hotel. It didn’t ruin our stay but I feel like the hotel should know. The toilet kept running and looked worn out. The bathroom fan either didn’t work or there wasn’t one. (My wife said the hotel plans on replacing all of them )The tv was a pain to try to find something to watch. Regular cable instead of hulu would be a lot better. Some of these things are a little picky but I feel I should be honest so they get corrected. We are hoping we can come back and I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed at the St augustine beach house for two nights. We love this place. It is a cross between a hotel and a b&b. The ocean views are fabulous. They are dog friendly. They provided breakfast each morning we were there. People are friendly and most helpful. I highly highly highly recommend you give them a try.
