We chose this hotel for a two night getaway to the Vilano Beach/St. Augustine area. We have stayed in many Hampton Inns through the years, and are familiar with what that brand offers. This hotel let us down and it was not worth the price...More

We stayed at this hotel for a family wedding. We were pleased with the hotel itself and the location was very close to a Publix and some restaurants (easy walking distance) and the beach - we could actually see the water from our room. That...More

Unfortunately, it is not. It's about 2 - 3 miles to the Historic District from our property. The walk is over a large bridge as well. We often suggest if you are in town for a few days to invest in a trolley ticket. It is good for 3 days, includes free parking or shuttle service from the hotel to the trolley depot. If you decide to drive and park, most parking including the garage is $15 all day. I hope this information helps!

They told us they only charge for parking on the weekends. Overall, the staff communication leaves much to be desired. I slept on a couch cushion for 3 nights after I was told by front desk there were no pillows unavailable. We were given 4 pillows for 5 people. Our toilet ran constantly, the Jacuzzi tub we paid extra for didn't work properly. The sofa bed we paid extra for as an upgraded room package had a mattress that didn't fit. The kitchenette did not contain a single dish or piece of flatware. I even had to buy my own paper towels and use the disposable plates/silverware I carried up from breakfast because the staff told me there was no other option. The pool had loose concrete ledges. My daughter fell. The coin operated laundry was filled with sand and debris. My laundry was actually dirtier after I spent $8 to wash it and I had to drive to Publix for quarters because the front desk was out. My AC unit rattled the door all night. Staff solution was to shove a towel in it. Bathroom in the upgraded ocean view room with balcony and sitting room with sofa bed and Jacuzzi tub was a waste. There are plantation blinds that are the privacy between the bedroom and the bathroom. You can hear (and smell) everything. Hotel overall was a huge disappointment.
