I recently spent a week at Lost Valley Ranch. Best vacation ever! This is a very special place indeed. The location is amazing and the scenery just takes your breath away. The horse riding is wonderful and I had a beautiful horse that was expertly matched to my riding ability.

What an unbelievably beautiful place. We agree with everything that has been written about this place before. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly from the staff to the other guests. The wranglers are just brilliant, particularly Luke, and they are so patient and tolerate with

Lost Valley Ranch is an extraordinary place that I wish everyone could experience at least once. The only word I can think of for a place that feels like a mixture of a family reunion, a spiritual retreat, a sleepaway camp, a working ranch, a luxury resort, and a gourmet

One more question: what kinds of rides are available in April?
If you are looking for lots of riding hours go for the Cattle Round Up week or Ride, Ride, Ride week. In the summer season there are some all day rides but mostly it will be 2 x 2 hour rides with lunch at the ranch. The ranch does do it's best to accommodate guests and I have been there many times out of season and they have put on all a all day for us but this cannot be guaranteed. It is a great place and well run.

What is Lost Valley's elevation?
Altitude of 7500 feet. We stayed in Denver the night before going to the ranch to help us get used to the altitude.

We do have horseback riding options available for your 11 and 9 year olds. Depending on the season in which you come, this could slightly different. In our summer season, we have a children's program that allows kids to ride with other children their age. Unfortunately, we don't have this program available in the spring and fall seasons. In that case, the children will have the option to ride with the adults or other children that are here at that time. Either way, we can certainly provide horseback riding for children and would love to provide this activity for your children as well.

Can your provide a price range for the cabins?
Thank you for asking. Our rates are a per person rate that is all inclusive. Therefore, we don't have a price for a cabin itself, these are broken down based on the number of people staying in that cabin. The rates depend on the season that you choose and even the month within that season. You can find the breakdown of all of our rates on our website under the Lodging section, then click on Rates at the top. If you would like us to give you an idea of the rates for a particular time, please email Caroline at our general email account. She would be happy to provide any rates that you would like further information on. We hope to hear from you soon.
