The remodel that was done in 2022 is wonderful. Very clean, comfortable and affordable. Very nice outdoor area, including hot tub, patio, outdoor grill and cute garden. Nice choice of coffee, tea and some light snacks. Always a pleasant stay.
Very Impressive -- walking into the living room was wow then the bedroom wow then the bathroom -- (even had a bench to sit and get dressed and there were the 2 shower heads which could come on handy if you were on your honeymoon or nice weekend romantic get away -- "I like this place". B-n-L said "well done." It was a fishing trip for fly fishing down the Are Kansas (I know -- but I'm from Kansas ok). Very quiet location and out of the way from heavy traffic, but close enough to restaurants (less than 10 minutes from most and down town). The property is awesome with great views of the surrounding countryside with a little openness. The beds were ideal and very comfortable for 2 people. The linens were great and so soft. One could read up on the main floor with a fireplace or go outside to the hot tube. Mike and Sara provided hot tea and coffee with places to sit and enjoy one another's company. They even provided above average Toilet paper and Kleenex -- SOFT if you know what I mean and necessary. We saw a bachelor herd one morning -- All bucks 13 of them. The road to the ranch provided a couple deer and geese everyday. Also, they were just a text message away. Will be back next year. Great place to stay with above average amenities and rates were right on.…
My husband, dog and I loved our long weekend at Blue Coyote Ranch! We stayed in Cabin 1 which was super clean and welcoming. The cabin is as advertised, but even nicer than the photos. Loved the sun streaming into the large windows of the great room and the fireplace was so cozy at night and easy to manage. Kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner and a good dining area. Really enjoyed the loft sleeping space, and the privacy of the main floor master was great too. Having two full baths was a very nice amenity. Cabin is surrounded by nature and we enjoyed walking to the nearby dog park next to the river which is treated as off leash. BCR's owners and staff were very welcoming and answered texts immediately. Our dog loved playing in the enclosed corral. The main lodge is stunning - we'd love to come back sometime and try that. Would rate this a 10/10 - we cannot wait to return to Salida and BCR!…
Everything was inviting, comfy, well-thought, I could go on and on. Sometimes the pictures of a place are deceiving-but not this place. These hosts were highly responsive. We loved having access to the coffee bar, and enjoyed our coffee at the window overlooking the ranch and mountains. The hot tub off the deck was very nice-well-taken care of. Even though they don't offer dining on property, there was a small fridge in the kitchen area full of yogurt, and also a basket of granola bars. That came in handy one morning when I was light headed and not ready to leave for the day. Also, a microwave was available-and we had a fridge in our room. Speaking of our room, the bed was comfortable, lots of pillows, although we always bring our own. We enjoyed the 2-person hot tub IN OUR ROOM. I think it's the only room with one! (The Rancher). We played games at the table in our room as well. We can't wait to come back. Excellent job with the Inn! Your Tudor style Inn is gorgeous. …
Located just SE of Salida, on semi-rural property. Private and welcoming. Creatively designed and decorated for self-serve clientele. We were so impressed, we want to bring the adult kids and grandkids for a family get-away.
We stayed in the Geologist room, which was great with a large bathroom and shower, its own patio from which we could take 10 steps to the hot tub, and walking up the steps to the living room area with a fireplace was super nice. Coffee and granola bars for a quick breakfast included, and owner Sara was super helpful to provide some extra blankets for an air mattress we brought for one extra person one night---still spacious and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again. 5 Stars.
We've been staying at "the ranch" for many years; and as always, everything was perfect - clean and comfortable. Our grandsons from California had a wonderful time skiing at Monarch Ski Resort. We love the cabins and the comfortable living space and full kitchen.
Excellent place. I would highly recommend! Minutes from town but a remote feel with beautiful views. Loved reading a book by the fireplace. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the essential cutlery.
We stayed over on 4th Aug for 3 nights and found the ranch to be in an ideal location. It was quiet and yet close to the town. The ranch house was newly furnished and the room we had was very comfortable (the Naturalist). The owners were super responsive to any questions or issues we had. We would definitely stay again. Our only small gripe was that in the morning the dishes from the previous night had not been cleaned so there was a shortage of cutlery and cups. The deck at the back is super big and is a great place to enjoy a drink and a meal with a lovely view of the mountains.
This cabin was the perfect basecamp for our Salida vacation. The area was very private and safe feeling with plenty of space to roam around and park. The cabin itself was well maintained with high quality amenities. I look forward to coming back here again some day.
