We were traveling from Estes Park to Santa Fe and found this hidden gem. We had our two puppies with us. They were very accommodating. We had a suite on the first floor. It was amazing. The views were magnificent. Breakfast was over the top. Gina and Darcy were great hosts. Would highly recommend this wonderful place when visiting Salida, Co.

My friend and I spent 2 nights at the Goat Lodge this past weekend and had a wonderful time! Gina and Darcey create an environment that feels like home. We took the cheese-making class with Gina and chatted like old friends. It was so much fun to be able to spend time with the animals- goats, chickens, ducks, and Spencer, the llama! and to walk around the property. I especially enjoyed spending time in the geodesic dome greenhouse, a nice reprieve from the cooler weather. Lastly, I can't forget to mention the food!! Huevos rancheros, fresh yogurt, biscuits and gravy, and my personal favorite- bacon-wrapped figs with goat cheese, everything we ate was DELICIOUS! I didn't want to leave and I can't wait to go back!!

When was the last time you saw the milky way ? Outside of Salida there is no ambient light or obstruction to a magnificent view of the universe, and the mountains out back.. The hosts are very friendly and make the breakfast part of the B&B the bestest part. The property is a bit dated but hey, it's a farm; and the tame goats are a nice part of the ambience. There is a bit of truck and guest noise, so if you are a light sleeper bring what you need, and if you can afford it go for a suite. Also, in my six decades of culinary overindulgence, I have never had a more bountiful and beautiful charcuterie. Enough to make a dinner for four people with enough left over for lunch the next day...do the math. Owners are paying attention to Covid restrictions and cleaning; hopefully by the time you visit it will be history.

We loved the scenery, the breakfast and the animals. Only one turn off: management cares to share political views and not everyone agrees with their views. We were there for R&R, not politics. Otherwise, we enjoyed ourselves.

This comfortable B & B was the perfect spot for us on a quick trip to Colorado in late September. The lodge is quite roomy and we enjoyed the suite downstairs very much. It was spacious and very clean with good views of the mountains beyond. We were also pleasantly surprised by the very comfortable pillows and bed. The owners were super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed chatting with them and the other guests, as well. Gina prepared lovely breakfasts each morning. Since it is a goat farm, she uses goat milk but will happily prepare your latte with cow's milk if you prefer:) Highly recommend!!
