Really enjoyed staying here. Tammy and Steve were great hosts and gave us a lot of recommendations to check out, from tourism to restaurants in town. Salida is also a very cute artsy town where you can find something unique for your loved ones. We would absolutely stay here again, and we can't wait to return!

I choose this B & B due to the fact it is in walking distance of downtown Salida and the river. My cousin and daughter had rooms in the house and my roommate and I stayed in the cottage. It was perfect for the four of us as we had a place to gather and eat, we could walk to...

Stayed two nights. The place is run down and needs cleaned and organized. The front porch was cluttered with junk. There is a covered patio/deck on the north side. It was so cluttered that we felt like we were somewhere we weren't supposed to be. The food was ok at best. Will not return! Way over priced!

First, I must say that Tammy and Steve are great hosts and will do anything to make you comfortable. Unfortunately, the cottage is in back and the grounds around it is in need of a lot of cleanup work. We never saw or were offered the hot tub advertised. The cottage was very dark and musty smelling. This was very...

We had the pleasure of staying a night at Thomas House on our trip to Colorado. Our room was spacious, clean and quaint. We had everything we needed including a corkscrew for a bottle of wine we bought on our stop at Holy Cross Winery. Steve and Tammy could not have been more gracious hosts. The breakfast was delicious and...

On a recommendation from friends, I booked the cottage at Thomas House as my favorite place to stay in Salida was not available. Upon check-in, the cottage seemed adequate if a little run down and cluttered. However, after finding bugs on/in the frig and in the bed it was time to check out a day early. I was refunded a...

Tammy and Steve make you feel right at home! They are generous, affable and run a unique B and B--it reflects who they are and the history of their family! It is like going to an American Heritage Museum chock full with Tammy's ancestor's century old handmade quilts, apple corers, spice tins and other memorabilia. Everything tells a story and...

We are regular visitors to the Thomas House, but had not been there for two years this time. We are so glad we were able to be there again! It was like coming home. It was so comfortable, so charming, so welcoming. We had a very relaxing visit, slept well in a bed that is actually better than we have...

We stayed at the Thomas House for one night recently and really enjoyed it. Our rooms were clean and comfy, the internet access was really good and the breakfast was wonderful! Plus we loved the old house and how well taken care of it is, Steve and Tammy obviously love this historical home. We could easily walk to downtown Salida...

Steve and Tammy are wonderful. They made us feel like part of the family. Great food and loved enjoying the balcony. Steve called us about 5 mins after we left to let me know I let my Wedding Ring in the room. Not many people would do that. We can't wait to go back

“allrooms have their own personality, and it depends on who you are traveling with. The kitchen with the Princeton room makes a great quite, and the more "common kitchen" makes for easy access of a few rooms. Both the Princeton suite and the Ouray suite accommodate families well.
