we stayed at poncha lodge with Theresa and D once again. 5 of us bikers and loved it as well as D has some of the best Texas style BBq around...they both go out of their way to make you feel like you are family. D opens up early so you can get some hot coffee and monster breakfast burritos... More

Sorry I was so late in reviewing. We absolutely loved the lodge!. After spending over 6 days in Moab Utah at over $200.00 a night the Poncha Lodge was a breath of fresh air. Theresa, the owner, is wonderful. Our room was perfect, right across from the Hungry Trailer, which has wonderful food. We enjoyed our cocktail hour in the... More

So happy we chose this place to stay on our way from the Rocky Mountain National Park to Durango to ride the Silverton Durango Train. It's so charming and very relaxing. Super clean, newly remodeled and has a courtyard in the rear with the most beautiful flowers, hummingbird feeders, a small stream running through it. A hidden treasure. Park right... More

Very cute autocourt style motel. Theresa the owner lives on site and has lots of info to share especially for a good place to eat. You park in front of your door and there's flowers everywhere, in hanging baskets and planters. As soon as we opened our door I got a huge smile on my face, the room is so... More

Rooms are clean with a charming dated design. Bathroom clean and well appointed. Teresa, the owner, is a charming Texan. The grounds are well kept and features a hot tub and incredible garden for relaxing. Very cool place. For tourists looking for fancy, go to a bigger city. This place is "home town" not "downtown". We consider this a destination... More

We had a delightful stay at Poncha Lodge. The rooms were clean and freshly remodeled. There is a wonderful courtyard in the rear with small stream flowing through it. It is easy to access Buena Vista, Salida, Monarch and numerous hiking and biking trails from this location. The manager/owner, Teresa, is also a jewel!

We had the pleasure of staying at the Poncha Lodge. Teresa, the manager, is very accommodating, and runs a beautiful motel. It is cute, clean, comfortable and extremely reasonably priced. The property has a lovely courtyard is a great place to sit and relax or socialize. The courtyard has lots of original art and sculptures, with festive, decorative lighting. Teresa... More

Stopped here after riding over Monarch Pass in the afternoon rather than staying in Gunnison. Didn't want to ride the pass in the cold morning! Very pleased with the lodge. The owner, Theresa, has done an excellent job updating the rooms with new beds and fixtures. You park in front of your room. Since its a small older motel, you... More

An unexpected find in Colorado. Very nice little old fashioned motel, lovingly redecorated by the owners. Nice rooms with good beds, clean and fresh. Just off Hwy 50 , rooms with a porch to sit on and parking in front of the door. The garden with barbecue facility is beautiful. The nice town of Salida is 5 miles away but... More

We stayed here to ski. 15 min from Monarch Mountain. Really nice reception. Very affordable and rustic. Our room was $63. They have a very cute courtyard with a hot tub. Thin walls and no breakfast, but there is an awesome food truck in their parking lot. They had delicious breakfast. Very affordable as well. We would totally stay here... More
