What a joke , the adults pool was full of kids & the kids area was full of frustrated adults who couldn't access the adults pool because it was full Russians & there kids. When i asked the staff why is the adult pool was full of kids ! The staff did nothing to sort this situation out ... they said the Russians here do what ever they like. We will not return to this hotel. even though the food , staff were excellent. We will try the Atlantica Bay Limassol ... adults only

A very nice upmarket beach hotel. Pros:- The hotel is located in the tourist part of town, with lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. It has a very pleasant stretch of sheltered beach and decent pool with swim up pool bar…the perfect place to relax. There is also a water sports outlet adjacent to the hotel if you want to do something more energetic. The staff were, in the main, extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was large, modern and very clean. The hotel has some great amenities, including an indoor pool, very nice spa, and a pretty good gym. There is also complimentary on-site parking available. Breakfast was fine, but limited and a bit awkward due to COVID restrictions, i.e. you had to wear a mask and gloves before visiting the buffet area. Cons The gym/spa area was only open from 08:00 to 20:00. This may have been due to COVID restrictions but it also meant that if you wanted an early morning swim, it was important to remember to pick up a beach towel from the spa the day before. The lounge area in the evenings was pretty much deserted with very little ambience. Hotels of this class should really consider putting on some in-house entertainment in order to attract people. The food at the on-site Greek restaurant (Meze) was quite bland and lacking imagination, e.g. sea bass served with vegetables which included tinned carrots. It was also at this restaurant where we had a bit of a poor experience with one of the waitresses. She insisted that all the poolside tables were reserved even though none of the 4 empty tables had been filled as we finished our dinner nearly 90 mins later! It would have been more flexible to say that the tables were booked for a particular time and let the customer make the decision. Overall, our experience at this hotel was very good and we would be happy to visit again.

This was our third choice as a destination due to COVID restrictions but decided that with TUIs easy test partners we could do it. Been to Cyprus a number of times before but never stayed in Limassol just driven through. The Apollonia’s situation is perfect with the beach just below the pool. It is amazingly clean and the satff are fantastic especially Anna and Zina. We were dso luck the weather was idyllic - non need even for cardigans at night. It’s a shame that things are closed due to COVID but there was still enough to do. The food at the hotel is outstanding some of the best we have tasted. It was all so good we are definately coming back Oct half term next year - this could well be a regular fixture in our holiday calendar. 10/10 we can’t fault it - even if the weather is less good the indoor pool is divine with a gorgeous spa and very good gym - better than nearly any hotel we have seen. Well done The Apollonia and Limassol is really on the up due to foreign investment so we recommend to anyone.

We stayed here for 10 nights all inclusive in October 2020, after our trip to Turkey was cancelled due to Covid. We are so glad we chose The Royal Apollonia and Cyprus. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco which was nice, and provided with masks to wear in the lift and whilst walking round the buffet. The sea view room was lovely. The door was sealed to demonstrate that it had been deep cleaned. Definitely upgrade to sea view if possible- there is a busy road on the other side of the hotel, although you cannot hear this at all from the pool/ beach. The pool is what really makes this hotel special. Sunbeds are super comfortable and high quality. The infinity pool is beautiful. Anna at the swim up bar is great, she is so friendly and makes amazing cocktails. The beach is small but all we needed, it's kept clean and the sea was even warmer than the pool. You can get clean beach towels from the spa each morning. The restaurants are good. We are vegetarian, but eat fish occasionally. As a vegetarian you won't go hungry, different items on the menu for dinner each day and a few nice options for lunch (salads, wraps, pitta and dips) and breakfast. We did eat fish more than we would have liked, e.g. the Japanese restaurant had a set menu and wouldn't give us a veggie menu. The staff in the main restaurant were fantastic and went over and above to ensure we ate what we wanted- we requested a few different dishes and they happily obliged (such as a halloumi kebab, and babaganouch!). A separate vegetarian menu would be a big improvement, with more greek options. There was only evening entertainment on one night each week, which was a local musician. He was good, and we aren't into evening entertainment much so that was fine for us. The spa looked absolutely lovely- it's fairly expensive- so we went down the road to Thai Spa Centre, where we had very well priced but less luxurious massages! A special thanks to: Paulina Costas Zina Anna Panagiotis For being so friendly and fantastic, and making our stay so special. We wouldn't hesitate to return and have recommended this hotel to our friends and family.
