The Varos Residences welcomes travelers from around the world, as friends and as family, to a hospitality concept that creates long lasting memories from invaluable moments. The 42 rooms and suites have been lovingly redesigned with respect and dedication to the natural environment, culture and tradition of Lemnos, paying homage to the people who once worked on this land and had their livelihoods in these Residences. The hotel is located within the Varos village itself, at the center of Lemnos island. Moreover, the 4stars hotel is ideally positioned in the heart of the island for easy access to most of the island's interesting sites, unique sandy beaches with crystal clear waters, the local airport, the general hospital, the two major seaports and the capital Myrina. Traditional Residences with a long history and their authentic characteristics reflecting Lemnian culture and the island’s way of living. As a hotel guest at “The Varos Residences”, you get the priceless sensation of being treated like a guest of the whole village. You become a part of the local community, being greeted by a genuine smile and a heartfelt ‘Kalimera’. It is the priceless sensation of being part of the real village and feel like when you are welcome into your best friend’s home! A special touch of authenticity is the awarded Greek breakfast offered daily in the traditional “kafeneion” (cafe) at the village square, in front of the village's first stone-built coffee store, which today belongs to the hotel. Here you paint the canvas of your memories by living like a local. License Number: 1138390

This year, I stayed at the Varos Residences for the second time and again it was formidable. The breakfast is always very tasty. Due to the corona measures, everything was served à la carte at the table. However, we lacked nothing. Everything was also very clean. We felt safe the whole week.

My mom and I visited this hotel on a girls' trip and we had an incredible time. The way the rooms are spread out really gave us a feel of what it's like to live in the village and all of the rooms were traditional but not outdated. The staff was all very helpful and courteous and the receptionist was very accommodating. We loved walking the the village everyday to get to breakfast. The pool was incredible and the location of the hotel overall is perfect because it was close enough to the beach for us to walk to and there were other restaurants nearby. We absolutely fell in love with this hotel and with Lemnos as a whole. The island has such a charm that is best experienced in such a wonderfully traditional setting.

Traditional doesn’t mean bad maintained! A hint for the management! We were first allocated to a dull room. We had to keep the lights on, even in the morning. The village is located far from the hotel and doesn’t worth paying for it. We chose this hotel for the pool (kids’ choice). It is so windy in Limnos that we couldn’t swim there, so we went swimming at a few of the plenty marvelous beaches of the island instead. We had already prepaid for the whole stay otherwise we wouldn't have stayed at all. The staff at the reception was very kind and patient and the restaurant was nice but you can find those in many other places. We loved the island !!

Response from Eleni L, Front Office Manager at The Varos Residences

Dear Maria Wee are glad to read your comments for our kindness as well as your good comments for the hotel's restaurant. However, personally I am frustrated to read, 3 months after your stay, that you really did not like the room you have been located. I am the one who take care of your relocation at once, since the first room was not ok for you and the Suite you finally chose to stay, the next moring of your check in, was really bathed in light. It seems I didn't realize what finally you would like more and I am really sorry for this. It is always more hepful to let us know what you need during your stay than a bad review after. The review, good or bad, always is taking under deep consideration from the whole team, but the communication during your stay is also very important because we are all here to listen to you and try to meet your criteria in order to enjoy your accommodation at the most. with my kindest regards. Niky - Front Office Manager

A traditional cluster of rooms scattered in an old rather historical village. Fine accommodation combined with a friendly environment. Many facilities, a lot to see and do. The island is full of a peculiar energy.

Visited the Varos Village Hotel during a Conference Trip. The majority of the residencies were decentralized and scattered in the village itself, in a close vicinity of the main hotel. Though that as a very eco-friendly initiative, since all these residences where actually previously neglected old island houses that where beautifully renovated. I stayed at the Monastery Residence (aptm 414). It was fully and elegantly furnished, both in a modern and a traditional way. Equipped with everything need for either short-or long term vacation. Wi-Fi somewhat problematic (but I think that applies for the whole area). It was so relaxing being including in the everyday life of the village and the villagers. We could walk to the central hotel for breakfast, or other meals or hang at the pool - or we could just call the reception and have them move us around with their mini-vehicles! Breakfast was quite good, with a certain variety of product, food was also good (but could use an improvement). The staff was friendly. The night view from the Veranda restaurant was stunning.
