This year, I stayed at the Varos Residences for the second time and again it was formidable. The breakfast is always very tasty. Due to the corona measures, everything was served à la carte at the table. However, we lacked nothing. Everything was also very clean. We felt safe the whole week.
My mom and I visited this hotel on a girls' trip and we had an incredible time. The way the rooms are spread out really gave us a feel of what it's like to live in the village and all of the rooms were traditional but not outdated. The staff was all very helpful and courteous and the receptionist was very accommodating. We loved walking the the village everyday to get to breakfast. The pool was incredible and the location of the hotel overall is perfect because it was close enough to the beach for us to walk to and there were other restaurants nearby. We absolutely fell in love with this hotel and with Lemnos as a whole. The island has such a charm that is best experienced in such a wonderfully traditional setting.
Traditional doesn’t mean bad maintained! A hint for the management! We were first allocated to a dull room. We had to keep the lights on, even in the morning. The village is located far from the hotel and doesn’t worth paying for it. We chose this hotel for the pool (kids’ choice). It is so windy in Limnos that we couldn’t swim there, so we went swimming at a few of the plenty marvelous beaches of the island instead. We had already prepaid for the whole stay otherwise we wouldn't have stayed at all. The staff at the reception was very kind and patient and the restaurant was nice but you can find those in many other places. We loved the island !!
A traditional cluster of rooms scattered in an old rather historical village. Fine accommodation combined with a friendly environment. Many facilities, a lot to see and do. The island is full of a peculiar energy.
Visited the Varos Village Hotel during a Conference Trip. The majority of the residencies were decentralized and scattered in the village itself, in a close vicinity of the main hotel. Though that as a very eco-friendly initiative, since all these residences where actually previously neglected old island houses that where beautifully renovated. I stayed at the Monastery Residence (aptm 414). It was fully and elegantly furnished, both in a modern and a traditional way. Equipped with everything need for either short-or long term vacation. Wi-Fi somewhat problematic (but I think that applies for the whole area). It was so relaxing being including in the everyday life of the village and the villagers. We could walk to the central hotel for breakfast, or other meals or hang at the pool - or we could just call the reception and have them move us around with their mini-vehicles! Breakfast was quite good, with a certain variety of product, food was also good (but could use an improvement). The staff was friendly. The night view from the Veranda restaurant was stunning.…
