Palisade Basecamp is located in a beautiful spot at the Colorado River and at the foot of the Grand Mesa. You can see the mountains all around and access the river. The facilities are very nice (new) and well maintained. The full hookups are new and in great shape. Great place to stay.

Palisade Basecamp RV resort is a new facility that has just opened this year. They are still putting in cabins and other amenities but they do have all the facilities you need now, and the camp sites are great. They are next to the Colorado River with tent camping down by the river. They are a great place to stage out of to climb Mt Garfield, or flow or paddle board the river, even go up on the Grand Mesa and ski.

Beautiful views, spacious spots, pristine grounds. This is one of the very best RV resorts we’ve stayed at. Great 360 views. Everything is new and very well kept. I appreciated how clean and lovely the bathrooms/showers were. Great for kids. We will be back!

This is a newer campground so there's not a lot of trees but the area is very nice and the people are extremely friendly. They're very dog friendly. There is a highway and railroad nearby but it wasn't too loud and seemed to get really quiet at night. Nice location for just about anything you want to do.

Stayed here while towing a 33’ rv trailer. I booked us in the day of which was great. Online booking site clear and easy to use. We stayed in campsite #22. It was perfect for our two toddlers. They loved the large sandpit play area. The pool was filled, clean and a nice temp. Very little shade within pool fence. Also would recommend bringing your own lawn chairs as only a couple benches. The bathrooms were always clean. They are spacious and had good water pressure and good hot water. It was also great they had 2 family bathrooms. The location of the campground is fantastic as we walked to the vineyard next door. Sadly picking the peaches that line the drive of the campground is not allowed. Bummer as there was a ton of fruit on the ground. We drove 10 mi to the alpaca farm and u pick orchard. Also did the fire pit Friday offered by a Varaison Winery which was a great deal and super fun. Campsites 17, 18, 19 have amazing views of the river and Mesa but a steep drop down to river so not really good for smaller kids. Vineyard sites were perfect for our toddlers. We did a late checkout ($15) as checkout is 11am. had a great experience here and will be back!
