I stayed one night in a one bedroom cabin. The check-in staff person needs some training on friendliness and customer service. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Futon sofa in the living room, small smart TV, efficiency kitchen with coffeemaker and fully stocked for self-cooking of meals. Walk in shower with shampoo, soap and blow dryer provided. Mattress was very comfortable and I slept well. Gas wood stove for heating and it was very sufficient for the size of the cabin. Hot tub on the grounds right across from Cabin 103, which I did not use. For work purposes, the wifi would go out intermittently so I decided to relax and not work. I would stay here again.

The Fireside Cabins are a diamond in the rough! There are several cabins, spread out with space between each. Parked right in front of our door so unloading was a breeze! Fishing, (catch & release) steps from your cabin, about a mile from town where there is plenty of shopping, dining, hot springs and plenty of outside adventures. We reserved one of the cabins near the river for one night two weeks ago on our way to AZ. Cabin had 2 bedrooms, small kitchen area with everything you need to fix a quick meal, TV/living room area. Bathroom had shower, no tub. Beds were very comfortable, cabin was very quiet, did not hear any noise from the road nearby or other cabins and was a treat to open the bedroom window and listen to the river! Enjoyed the seating/rocking chair on the front porch, very relaxing! Great place to enjoy one of the beautiful areas of Colorado!…

This was our first trip to Pagosa Springs and the Cabins close to the river was just too good to pass up. The Cabins are really cozy and was honestly on the small side for our family of 5. The cabins were almost all full while we were there and it was relatively quiet. Pretty sure our 2 year old made the most noise of anyone there. Overall I would definitely stay here again, even if my review sounds otherwise, the ups definitely out did the downs. We had cabin 205, which is close enough to hear the river, but not quite see it. The bedrooms were nice, but the beds take up a considerable amount of the space. My wife and i on several occasions banged our shins on the bed frame trying to get around them. Outlets are also in strange locations, I had to charge my phone on the window sill, oh well, we weren't there to play on our phones. There is very little cellular signal here, and while they provide wifi, it's kind of temperamental. It wasn't a big deal as we were not on our phones a lot. But if I needed to make a call or answer a call I had to walk outside away from the cabin. Had several dropped calls when the internet suddenly flaked out. There is no AC, they have instructions on how to keep it cool and how to cool it off. In most cases even following the instructions our cabin was over 80 degrees in the evening and it took a considerable amount of time to cool off, even with the provided fans. The bathroom and shower were nice and there were no issues there. The Kitchen is nicely stocked with utensils/equipment and easy to get around. We didn't cook anything while there. But made use of the fridge and utensils. There is a grill outside that can be used also. There is really easy access to the river, my family spent plenty of time soaking in the river here. There is a considerable current, but it's really easy to spot and stay out of. One thing to remember is they advertise being able to tube from the cabins to town. From my own experience, check the USGS river gauge first. When we finally got around to tubing the river flow had dropped below 130 and we were consistently stuck on rocks for the majority trip down the river. Highly recommend only tubing from the cabins with water flow near 140 or above. If you get frustrated, like I did, there's no good places to climb out of the river till you get close to town. …

We've been traveling across country in our RV and wanted to take a break and stay in a cabin. The Fireside Inn only had one more cabin left. We had no idea what we were getting into, but read the reviews and felt ok about it. This adorable cabin is NOT a tiny home! It's an actual cabin. It was very clean and had all kinds of clever amenities. The bed was super comfy!! That was another thing that was very important to us. If you're able to get a cabin by the creek, do it! There's also additional grounds w a suoer comfy pavilion with chairs, picnic tables, lounge chairs, grills, outdoor toys PLUS a basketball goal and half court. This place was such dream!! On the CON side: there is no air-conditioning. We did not know that. We weren't really there during the day, it wasn't that big of a deal. You have to open the windows (there ARE screens on the windows) plus every room has a ceiling fan. Also, there needs to be a light in the tiny shower. Other than that, this place was such a surprise. …

This was a beautiful location! The cabins were next to the river with places to sit and enjoy the scenery. We were looking for dog friendly lodging and this was perfect! We had a one bedroom cabin which had plenty of room. We would stay here again!!

Stopped here when the Northern Lights were dancing in the sky and the snow was Everywhere! This was a last minute drive by and we decided to stop in and check the Inn out. I am so glad we did. Clean, immaculately clean! Well designed and thought put, every need is addressed. Each cabin has its own parking and BBQ area with privacy fencing up. Kitchen is very well stocked, bathrooms have soap and shampoo and plenty of tp. Bed is comfy and so is the futon. Covered porch to sit and watch the anow and northern lights on. Just Perfect. This was Our Favorite place for the 2 weeks we traveled!!!

We brought food to heat up, but was afraid of the $50.00 fee if we hadn’t washed the dishes to their expectations. The TV only has location channel. We did something wrong and had to wait 15 minutes to try the TV again. So we left and found a good restaurant near by. The shower as so small I had to shave my legs in the sink. We had a cabin by the river. The small TV was in living area, and we like to watch TV in bed before we go to sleep. The main complaint was the price for this time of year.

Very nice and comfortable cabin. I need to know what mattress they use! Great night sleep. We used the hot tub to relax our sore muscles from the day’s work. I want to come back when it is warmer to enjoy the outdoor amenities.

Quaint, quiet, calming, warm, and clean. Love how private it felt and the ability to walk around the well manicured property. Dog friendly. Close to town and nature hikes. Looking forward to our next visit which I hope will be an entire week.

I write this as I sit on the porch of my gorgeous cabin, listening to the river flow and the fish jump while a fire crackles and the stars light the sky. This place is magic. When the air gets crisp, I slide inside where a perfectly appointed space feels unpretentious and utterly perfect like a home away from home. As someone in the hotel business for many years, it’s quite remarkable how this beautiful Inn has been able to curate such a perfect balance of authentically outdoorsy and yet so darn comfortable. We will return for years to come.
